Woo hoo! I can’t believe we are half way through the year. I have fallen behind on my reading challenges, so I’ve adjusted them slightly.

I’m on track with my goal(50+) and I think I might increase it to 75+ later! It’s so hard to pick faves but some of my top audio reads were The Poet Empress and This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me!

It is hard to choose one favorite. My favorite historical is My Seductive Innocent by Julie Johnstone. My favorite paranormal is Kade’s Dark Embrace by Kym Grosso. My favorite hockey is Playing for Keeps by Lauren Blakely. My favorite MC is Cross by Lena Bourne. All these are romances.

Just got into audiobooks recently and I am sitting at 7 audiobook novellas listened to so far this year. Hoping that the novellas will lead to me reading full length novels as audiobooks.

I’m doing very well with my goal. I’ve finished 20 and found some new narrators that I really enjoy. The Tainted Cup and The Briar Book of the Dead have been my favorite audiobooks so far this year.

  6. Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)

I am ahead, so I think I’m increasing my goal for sure. I was going to bump it up to 50, but I’m afraid now that I’m listening to the Dungeon Crawler Carl books that are soooooo long, it will slow down the number. Plus, I’m not driving back and forth to work for another month, so that is cutting back on time. And I have no driving trips planned the rest of the year which also gave me extra reading. Hmm, I think instead of increasing to Marathoner, I’ll just do to My Precious since I hope to get to 50, but don’t know that I’ll get over 20 more done for the rest of the year.

I’m pretty new to audiobooks so I just signed up for Newbie and I listened to 5 and completed my challenge. I really enjoy listening to memoirs. I only read one that wasn’t a memoir. It was good, but I liked the other 4 better.

I don’t know that I can say that I have just one favorite so far, but the ones I’ve enjoyed the most would be The Windsor Affair (Melanie Benjamin), The Seven Daughters of Dupree (Nikesha Elise Williams), Burn Down Master’s House (Clay Cane), and This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me (Ilona Andrews).

My goal was Over Achiever, the same as last year, but I find this year I’ve both slowed down a bit and also I’m listening to longer books. I may drop my goal down to Marathoner and just cruise along on that instead of stressing myself out.

Also, I tried to enter the check-in giveaway, but when I put my information in and tried to enter, the entry form said that I had already completed the entry form and submitted the available entries, and yet the number of entries at the top of the form says 0. Not sure what’s up with that?

Yes, we are aware. There is an issue with GT. I have reached out to them. Worse case scenario we will use random.org and linky #’s.
