It’s been a week. I am still suffering from my fall. Sitting is still very uncomfortable and requires a pillow with any hard chair. Tylenol, a heating pad, and lying on my stomach relieve some of the pain. Bending and stairs are difficult. We never go out for V-Day. So of course the first time my husband of 38 years makes a reservation I am broken. But I put my big girl panties on and carried a pillow to the restaurant. We had a lovely time and there may have been carrot cake. Stay caffeinated, & spread kindness.

I’m so sorry to hear that you’re in pain and not feeling great 🙁 I hope you feel better soon and I’m glad you at least got to enjoy a nice dinner with your husband, pillow and all! I once saw a group of ladies go to lunch at a cafe and they each brought a bag with their own pillow and I thought it was brilliant, in case that helps you feel better 😀
    Thanks for hosting!

Oh yum! I love a good carrot cake. Doesn’t make up for the injuries but it does make it a better time! Hopefully you feel better and have a great week.

No, I didn’t go. It’s been over a week and it’s better than it was, but I don’t think they can do anything for me, even if it is cracked. If it isn’t better next week, I will probably go. Right now I am trying not to sit on it and limiting my activity.

Carrot cake is a great treat to have after a week of discomfort. I’m glad you were able to make the outing work for you. I hope you feel better soon.

Oh gosh Kimberly I am sorry that you are still suffering but I fear it will be the case for some weeks yet! It’s good that you could enjoy the restaurant though.

Glad you found a way to make it work and you had a great time! Perhaps the dinner reservation happened at the perfect time when you needed it the most. 🙂

  6. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Sorry to hear you’re still sore! That was nice of your husband though, but yeah, bad timing! Hope you have a speedier recovery this week!

Hope your TBR pile enjoys its break from getting new books too! Sadly, mine did not get such a break! Lol. Happy Reading!

  9. Lola

I hope you recover from your fall soon. How sweet of your husband to book a restaurant. And that sounds like a good way you handled it by bringing your own pillow, glad you had a lovely time and that carrot cake sounds good!
