On Wednesday, our neighborhood had workers installing fiber lines for several providers, and Wednesday afternoon, they cut a power-line for our internet provider and others, causing a major outage. We were without internet until 11 pm Friday evening. What a pain in the arse. I have limited hotspot with my cellphone provider and could use that to work in the mornings but not much else. So naturally, I am behind on writing reviews. On a positive note, I am recovered from the cold, and aside from some lingering swallowing issues, I am fully recovered from surgery. Clayton’s birthday party is today at the Amazing Pizza Machine (think Chucky Cheese). I am hosting Thanksgiving this year. The grandchildren and two of my children will attend, along with my SIL. My shopping is done, and the bird is defrosting in my fridge. I am buying the pies as the request was lemon meringue and French silk.     Glad you’re feeling better and have internet back! That’s so frustrating! We are going to my mother’s for Thanksgiving one day and then are hosting the next day. I have everything I need but am not prepared. I hope you have a great week!

    Aargh! Unfortunately I can totally relate to worked accidentally cutting a crucial line! We’ve been without internet too because of this type of accident. It really sucks!

    Delighted to hear of your recovery from your surgery, but the business with the internet is really annoying!! It does make me angry that corporations and banks keep nagging us all to go online to conduct our business. And then don’t bother to explain what happens when the internet goes down… Have a great week, Kimberly.

    Glad your cold is gone and that you are mostly recovered from your surgery. I had something similar happen with my cable/internet when they were putting Google Fiber in near my last house. I remember how frustrating that was! Fortunately the AT&T people I had at the time were able to fix it quickly. Hope you have a good week and that Thanksgiving goes smoothly!

    That seems to happen to you a lot! You’d think they’d know by now where those lines are! Grrrr! Glad to hear you’re feeling better. I asked the kids what pies they wanted so I bought a pumpkin pie and Anna will make a chocolate chess pie. Since we aren’t all that fond of turkey we may try something else entirely different next year. For this year the smallest one I could find at 11 lbs is defrosting in the fridge.

    Oh man! That sounds dreadful being without the internet! It’s happened more times than I’d like to count to us too. It’s sad how much depends on WiFi, not to mention working as I work from home too! Glad it eventually got restored! Glad to hear you’re feeling better health wise and recovery wise! That’s good before the big meal this week!

    having lines cut is such a nightmare. i live in a rural area and last year, there was a third party company digging in a big town 20 miles away that cut a major line and knocked out the internet in half the state. this line is used by everyone and it took a day for them to bring it back up.
