Not a wonderful week. We canceled my birthday celebration with my children and grandchildren because of illnesses. Clayton and my husband have strep throat. I woke up at 5 am on Thursday because the cyst in my throat had grown to tennis ball size again. Swallowing/eating is painful, and my head hurts. The surgeon put me on antibiotics until my surgery on Oct. 23rd. Despite being on meds since Thursday my neck is still very swollen and painful. Aside from work, I binge-read the first five books in the Kate Burkholder series. Two were on KindleUnlimited and I read those before my KU expires on the ninth. I got 3-5 at the library, but they don’t have six. Ugh. I will have to keep an eye out for sales. I asked my library to get it, so we will see. Stay Caffeinated and spread kindness.

Fingers crossed the library request comes through. You definitely deserve to binge a series with everything you’re going through. I hope the meds help. I hope everyone gets better soon. Strep is no fun.

Lola
Sorry to hear about your week not going so well, that’s a shame you had to cancel your birthday celebrations. And that cyst sounds super painful and annoying even with the medications, I hope the surgery later this month goes well. Nice you got some binge reading done and hopefully your library gets that sixth book in the series.
LORI CASWELL
I am so sorry that illness ruined your plans. I hope everything gets better and you can make up the date with your family and friends.
Sending you healing vibes and hugs.
La La in the Library
I am sorry you are so sick, and also that you had to cancel your birthday! GIANT HUGS for you. I hope and pray the meds start helping you more. 😔
I hate it when libraries don’t have all the books in a series. I requested the last three books in a manga series the library had and they just purchased the next one a year after I first requested it, without get the last two. 😐
Here’s to a better October for you. 💟
Yvonne @ Socrates Book Reviews
