Ugh. I had my appointment with the ENT at the Methodist Cancer Center, and it has been decided that the cyst, the track it grew in and part of my Hyoid bone will be removed. My surgery is scheduled for October 23rd. Thankfully, it is outpatient surgery, so barring complications, I get to go home the same day. I will need to have a drain tube that should be removed 3-5 days later. I am working on getting blog posts scheduled prior and will ensure the Sunday Post is scheduled regardless of how I am feeling.

We attended Grandparents’ Day at Hazel’s school and had fun doing planned activities with her. Mr. C had his MRI, and we are waiting for results regarding his back/leg pain. This week I will celebrate my 59th year around the sun on this crazy planet, and the temperatures are summerlike. I treated myself to some audiobook bundles and grabbed the Downside Ghost series by Stacia Kane and Adair Family series by Samantha Young. Stay Caffeinated and spread kindness.

I must have missed something. I didn’t know about your cyst. So sorry you have to have throat surgery. I hope it goes as easy as my neck surgery went and that you heal quickly! Happy birthday early.

  2. Katherine

Hey everybody I was looking at other blogs to see what content they were posting to give me New content ideas for my blog and I really liked the Sunday Post idea I decided I am goanna do it monthly and changed the name of it for my blog to better fit the style of my blog

I love the concept of the read ins of banned books. Seems weirdly archaic to us in Australia that the govt would ban books (and we are called a Nanny state. Ha! The irony). But having just finished Fahrenheit 451, it sounds like a good thing to do!

Wishing you a very happy birthday 🎈 I hope your family spoils you 🎂
Though it’s not ideal to be having surgery, it must be some comfort to have a solution in sight,

Wishing you a happy reading week.

  7. Victoria

I hope the surgery is easy peasy and that you have a quick recovery. Thanks for posting about the banned books sit in. I’m going to share it on my blog too.

Happy Birthday! Sorry to hear about the procedure. Any kind of medical procedure is unsettling. I pray that all goes well for you. It will be over before you know it. Have a great week. 🙂

Oh no! Sorry you have to have surgery. But maybe that will help? I have decided I definitely want to get a referral to an ENT for my dizziness. While I haven’t really had much since I was in the hospital, I am having to sleep with my bed slightly elevated at the head level. I still wake up in the morning with a quick feeling in my head that makes me think it’s coming back, but so far it goes away right away. But I also feel a little more of a crick in my shoulder/neck from sleeping like that I think. Ugh. Yay for Ho-Ho-Ho-Readathon! It looks like it’s starting a little later this year? But that’s fine with me! Can’t wait to participate again! Hope you have a better week, we’ve had the hot weather here and I’m so done with that! And happy birthday!

Wow. Outpatient surgery? That’s actually pretty awesome. Can’t hate science, right? I’m sorry you have to go through it, but at least you won’t be stuck in the hospital and can rest at home. Sending you {{{posivibes}}}!

  14. Angie

I will add you to my prayers for a safe and speedy recovery. But also, Happy Birthday. I hope you have a wonderful day surrounded by love and relaxation.

  15. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Oh wow. That’s scary. Glad it’s a doable operation and outpatient at that, so that’s a plus. Hope you have a safe and speedy recovery! We keep going back and forth with our temperatures. Nice one day, steamy the next and then somewhere in between!

Nice new reads too! These are all new to me ones. I hope you enjoy each and every one of these!

Good luck with the surgery and wishing you a speedy recovery. Hopefully the MRI provides answers soon too.
Enjoy your audiobooks and I can’t believe HoHoHo readathon is coming up so soon again.
    Happy birthday!

Ugh! I too have a cyst in one of my sinuses but it isn’t big enough (right now) to do anything. I have t o get an MRI soon though because I’m experiencing some other symptoms that they want to make sure isn’t ENT related – I also have arthritis in my jaw on both sides so that could be doing it too – all this to say I empathize and I hope that it helps.

  19. Lola

Good luck with your surgery, that sounds daunting, but good they caught it now and can remove it and that you can go home the same day hopefully. Happy birthday and treating yourself with some new books sounds lovely. Have a great week!
