In Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix, the author explores witchcraft and the horrors young women faced when they got in the family way 70s and end up spending time away from their loved ones at the Wayward Girls home. The horror elements were as much about what happened to these young girls as it was the witch they encounter.

Magic Tides & Magic Claims by Ilona Andrews
I read Magic Tides, but held out for the audio for Magic Claims and was not disappointed. Magic Tides & Magic Claims by Ilona Andrews are novellas in the Kate Daniels: Wilmington Years. The first introduces us to life after Atlanta, and the second brings change. Both are fantastic and have me looking forward to many more stories.
The Hollow Places by T. Kingfisher
Narrated by Hillary Huber, The Hollow Places by T. Kingfisher delivered a chilling horror story that blended with quirky humor. This atmospheric tale will have you leaving a light on and listening for scratches.
The Underground River by Martha Conway
THE UNDERGROUND RIVER by Martha Conway intrigued me from the time period to the characters part in helping slaves find freedom. Narrated by Hillary Huber, Conway took me down the Ohio River on a floating theater and introduced me to a cast of quirky and endearing characters.
