Bones by K.L. Speer is the first audiobook in the post-apocalyptic fantasy series Bones. Narrated by Megan Carver, this character-driven story introduces us to Bones, a broken woman with the power to heal. This one made me ugly cry and has me counting the days until the audiobook release of Fangs.
Narrated by Reba Buhr, The Queen of the Road by Chris Tullbane takes us back to his post-break world in the second novel in the Storm Who Rides series featuring a character first encountered in the Murder of Crows series set in the same world. The Queen of Smiles, aka Storm Who Rides, Queen of the Road, Queenie, has become one of my favorite characters. Brilliant character growth and self-reflection alongside danger, squabbles and the open road.
The Hopkins Manuscript by R. C. Sherriff is a classic novel originally published in 1939. I grabbed this end of days audiobook in part because of narrator Nicholas Boulton. I stayed for the gripping, amusing & touching story that unfolded. Grab a cup of tea and travel to the small English village of Beadle, where Edgar resides….I promise you won’t regret it.
Narrated by Kristine Hvam, Junkyard War by Faith Hunter is the third audiobook in the Junkyard Cats featuring Shining Smith. This post-apocalyptic science fiction series has been a favorite. Shining Smith is seeking retribution, and she’s willing to die to get it.
Narrated by Lidia Dornet, The Devil You Know by Kit Rocha is the second audiobook in the Mercenary Librarians sci-fi fantasy series. Information brokers and a group of elite soldiers join forces in this post-apocalyptic world. This time they need a cure for one of their own….
