We are seeing signs of spring and even had temps in the 80s this weekend. I wore shorts twice! The news regarding our national security and continued attempts to erode our constitution is making me physically ill. I continue to call my state’s republican senators. One has been vocal, the others cower behind their billionaire backers. Stay Caffeinated and spread kindness.

We are having a mix of gorgeous weather and storms but luckily it’s staying at least in the 60s. I loved The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches and am so excited about the sequel. I hope you have a great week!

I try not to watch any news. We have tons of leaves and seedpods from the oaks, so I know it’s spring.
Mary Kirkland
We had a couple of days in the 80’s here too.
La La in the Library
Yay for spring temperatures! 🌷 We’ve only gotten to 70°, but I will take that especially when the sun is shining. 🌞
I can hardly handle being on social media anymore. I really struggle with needing to know what’s going on and not wanting to know what’s going on. It also blows my mind how ignorant people can be and the lies they’ll believe. I guess that’s why Rump and The Spaceman are defunding education, libraries, and PBS… to keep the uneducated onboard with shredding the Constitution. 😐
I hope you have a sunshine filled week! 🙂
vidya
had a couple of ‘short days’ here as well and today is blustery … that witchy book sounds like it belongs on my tbr..
Lydia C. Lee
You cracked out the shorts and I put on a cardigan for the first time when I woke up! Boo hiss for me! That Witches one looks fun….
Sophia Rose
Steamy spring these last few days here, but not warm enough for shorts. Good on you to get on the phone to your reps.
Have a good week, Kimberly!
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
The news is making me feel physically sick, too. I need to be more proactive about calling my senators and representative.
We’re finally getting some of those warm temperatures. It’s set to reach 79 today. I pulled out the capris for the first time today. Time to do the closet swap soon, I think—moving the summer clothes to the bedroom and the winter ones back to the spare room.
Angie
Hi! Nice to meet you. This is my first time participating in your linkup, as I just recently started posting about books. Thank you for hosting!
Here is MN, the weather is wacky. We had 70F weather on Wednesday, then yesterday got chilly, last night it rained and this morning everything is covered in ice. Now its warming up but raining. I cannot keep up. LOL
Anne- Books of My Heart
Thank you for calling your elected officials and making your voice heard. It’s bad news every time they do anything. The weather is getting warmer here but I tend to wear pants for the yard work.
Jen Twimom
It snowed here yesterday. *pouts*
Sophie
It feels like spring here too! And even if I am not living in the US I am sick of what’s been said and done right now. Towards other countries (it’s like colonialism is back) and towards US citizen’s rights. I think the solution can only come from the US citizens and their reactions, sadly. Lots of courage sent your way.
Cindy's Book Corner
That’s great that you have been able to pull your shorts out, I haven’t even thought about it, LOL! I hope you have a great week!
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches is on my TBR, will be interested to see what you think of it! And I’m behind on reviews and it looks like you have several that I need to get checked out. I was wearing shorts in NOLA this past week on my trip, and came back to a couple days of shorts weather at home. Of course last night we got rain and a cold front, so I’ll be back to capris or jeans today. Have a good week!
Meezan
Spring is in the air! I love seeing the signs of spring, but I’m not ready for warmer weather. I wish we could have the sights of spring without feeling the warmer temps. 🙂
A Voracious Reader
We’re also creeping into the 80s. I hate it because I still don’t have A/C yet. I’m with you on the state of our Nation. I loved The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches.
Steph
I am so jealous that you already had some days in shorts! I would take consistent 50/60 degrees lol.
Victoria Hamel
I wish I could have wrapped myself in Saturday’s weather and kept it til June.
Marlene Harris
Thanks so much for the shoutout! Reading Reality’s celebration week has BEGUN!
the bookworm
It was nearly 80 yesterday here and today it’s in the 60’s. Enjoy your week and your books. I used to read alot of Lori Foster and enjoyed her work.
Lin
Here in Bulgaria has been rainy and hot and cold on and off. Today the weather fel like in the UK changing every 10 mins lol! I have The very secret society of irregular witches on my to read list for this year! Heard so many good things about it 🙂 I have no idea what is going on in the US. . The less I know the better…
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Yeah I had to break out the shorts one day and the very next it was back to jeans! Lol. Crazy Midwest weather that’s for sure!
Nice new reads! These are new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!

Jodie
Hurray for signs of spring! Certainly not in the 80’s here but some warmer sunny days with daffodils, magnolia and forsythia all in bloom. Have a great week.
Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
I continue to call my representatives. I get no response from them.
Emma @ Words And Peace
Same here, 80 this Friday, but then the forecast is 40 on Monday with snow. I hope the yoyo season is soon over.
And yes, spreading kindness is more important than ever…
Yvonne @ Socrates Book Reviews
The news really is sickening. Each day is something new. We are having a cloudy weekend. But I’m alright with that since the week was really nice. Now I have an excuse to stay home and read. Have a great week!
Carla
I would love to be putting on shorts! Not quite that warm here yet. Have a wonderful week!
Becki
The Very Secret Society looks quite intriguing 🙂 And YAY for warmer weather. I think we only drop to the 40s once or twice this week. It may be time to pull out my spring dresses.
Greg
I hear you. It’s so depressing. It’s felt a little like spring here too though. Be well this weekend.
Lola
Our temperatures were a bit lower this week, but plenty of sunshine, but we haven’t had much rain in weeks. The political situation in the US sounds very dire. I really enjoyed The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches and hope you’ll enjoy it too, looking forward to hear your thoughts. I listened to the audio version as well.
Lori@EscapeWithDollycas
I believe this administration wakes up thinking who can we hurt today. Such a scary time.
We are in this together and I am doing my best to stay strong and make my voice heard.
Siran
A sign for me was when I saw a robin.
Laurel-Rain Snow
Your weather sounds great! I am also very disturbed by the news and all that is transpiring around us.
Have a wonderful week.
Jill
It is vomit inducing. Thanks for calling
