The Royals started school. Both like their teachers and classrooms. They went back on Thursday, so next week will be the first full week of school. Hazel misses her cousins, but she’ll start pre-school next year. It’s been unseasonably cool and I am walking around freezing…lol. Cleanup continues in the neighborhoods and chainsaws are a constant background noise. I am behind on reviews and hope to catch a spark of motivation soon. It will be my thirteenth year of blogging this week and I am in a bit of a funk. Stay Caffeinated.

I hope the Royals have the best year at school! And fingers crossed you find that motivation. Sometimes it’s so hard with everything else going on. Have a great week!

    Hallo, Hallo Kim,

I have had the whole rhythm of my blog shift and rebalance itself over the past few years, especially since I started working two full time jobs. I feel more comfortable now in recent weeks/months as I develop a new passage back into reading and blogging and being socially bookish again, but it took me awhile. Congratulations on your 13th Year, as I’ve just entered into my 11th! Some days it is hard to believe it has been that long for me, too, as it just feels like yesterday I started this journey.

This post of mine relates what has been going on this Summer, as well as some lovely books I’ve read, the ones that are speaking to me to be read right now and of course, a small queue of books to follow. It isn’t my usual Sunday Post format, but it is holds all my bookish delights and news and it worked for me this way this week.

I hope you’ll find something to get you out of your funk. That is never easy to navigate, and I’ve had to do it myself, too. Speaking of weather, I’m miserable in the heat and humidity and upper 100s. Ugh. Give me Winter now!

I hope the Royals have a wonderful school year! And Princess Hazel, too. I hope the cleanup goes well, and the cooler temperatures sound lovely tbh. Things cooled off a little while Debby roared through, and at least we’re not headed back into the 90s, but the mid-80s will be plenty hot, especially with the humidity.

Congratulations on 13 years of blogging!

For some reason my most recent post isn’t showing in the widget yet, so here it is: Sunday Post – 8/11/2024.

Happy 13 years of blogging! 😀 I’m sorry you’re in a bit of a funk. I think it happens to everyone. I’m glad the Royals like their teachers. I hope this is a great year for them. Have a great week!

Hope your littles have a good school year. It still pretty warm here probably will be for a few more weeks. Kiddos go back here on the 22nd. The local pool is closed all ready for the season and the local fair was this past weekend. So summer is coming to a close soon.

It’s so nice that the kids like their new teachers and classrooms for school this year! It’s cooled off a bit at our house (80s instead of 90s-100), but I’m definitely not freezing, lol! I’ve been blogging for 12 years and I get you. I find writing reviews more challenging. I’ve been trying to write shorter ones to help. Hope you get out of your funk. I want to request that new Armstrong!

Happy Blogoversary, Kimberly. I get in that slump, and sometimes I feel like it’s a job I don’t get paid for. I hope it goes away for you soon. Take care of Kimberly first.

  8. Sophie

Thirteen years of blogging is an accomplishment Kilberly! It will soon be eight years for me and I am feeling in a slump as well. Some days it feels more like something I HAVE to do than what I WANT to do. So take care of yourself first.

  9. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Glad the kiddos like their classes for the year! Our schools won’t really start until next week. But some might be this week. I know my sister goes back to the classroom midweek this week but her daughter doesn’t start until next week and we have the unfortunate task of watching her this week. She’s going through that teenage phase where she knows everything and adults know nothing and just has that attitude. I’ve never wanted my own place more but sadly that’s still a slow moving front as well.

Nice new reads! I am once again behind on Kelley’s books and this series. I still need to read this year’s release so I had to pass on this one as well. I feel like I will always be behind on her books. The only way to get caught up would be to binge her books and not have any events to prep for for several months. And I at least get maybe 1 event a month, although I did have a stretch of 4 months with no events but I ended up prepping for an event 4 months later that was canceled and is awaiting a reschedule date. Still no word on that yet either.

Hope you enjoy all of your lovely new reads and have a fantastic week ahead!

Glad to hear the royals like their teachers and classrooms. It’s been very warm here lately and I don’t like the heat, so I wish we had some of your unseasonable cool weather. Sorry to hear about your funk, I hope you feel better soon. Have a great week!

    Happy Blogoversary!
School doesn’t start here for a few weeks. The older grands are in no hurry to go back and the younger ones can’t wait.

I hope your funk passes and you have a great week.
