I absolutely loved Lenny Marks Gets Away with Murder and was excited to listen to Kerryn Mayne’s newest offering, Joy Mooding is Out of Time. Narrated by Annie Maynard, I was quickly pulled into the story of Joy and her twin daughters as they approached their twenty-first birthday and her death.
Admittedly, I grabbed Murder on Friday Street by Russell Cooper because it was recommended for fans of Richard Osman’s Thursday Murder Club series. I was NOT disappointed. Narrated by Bronwen Price, I instantly fell in love with brothers Cedric and Ambrose, retired MI6 agents, and Charlie, their dead friend’s daughter. You’ll want to grab your earbuds for this gem!
Her First Mistake by Kendra Elliot is the first novel in the Noelle Marsall series. If you’ve read the Mary Kilpatrick & Columbia River series, you’ll remember Noelle. Noelle is a detective for the Deschutes County sheriff’s office, whose husband was murdered in an unsolved home invasion years ago. A suspenseful introduction to the series that is not to be missed.
The Doll from Dunedin by M.L. Condike is the second audiobook in the Genealogy Mystery series, featuring forensic genealogist RaeJean Hunter. From the forensic aspects to the strange doll, you’ll love this meaty, cozy mystery.
Narrated by Elizabeth Ashby, And the Lake Will Take Them by Linda Norlander is the first mystery thriller in the Sheriff Red Mysteries series. Set in rural Minnesota, Sheriff Red has her hands full when a teenage girl goes missing during a snowstorm that may be tied to unsolved cases in her newly acquired department. A gripping thriller and start to the series.
