Rowan Wolff is a search and rescue expert who is still searching for answers from her own tragic past in this suspenseful mystery thriller. If you’re not familiar with Kendra Elliot, this book is the ideal starting point.
The House on Biscayne Bay by Chanel Cleeton
I love everything Chanel Cleeton has written from her contemporary romance to her Cuban inspired historical fiction and was delighted to see her delve into a gothic historical mystery with The House on Biscayne Bay. A suspenseful, atmospheric tale that held me captive from beginning to end.
The Unquiet Bones by Loreth Anne White
I love a good detective murder mystery and was drawn to The Unquiet Bones by Loreth Anne White. Narrated by Carly Robins, a discovery of bones opens up a fifty-year-old cold case and upturns the lives of everyone in this riveting thriller.
The Hapless Milliner by Jessica Bull
Sophia Rose is here with a review of the first novel in the Miss Austen Invetigates series by Jessica Bull. Miss Austen investigates a murder in The Hapless Milliner. Grab a spot of tea and check out Sophia’s thoughts.
A Grave Robbery by Deanna Raybourn
Deanna Raybourn’s ninth book in the Veronica Speedwell Mysteries proved quite the clever case, when Lord Rosemorran purchases a wax doll and his daughter asked Stoker to animate it. What Veronica and Stoker discover is a carefully preserved human encased in wax like the Sleeping Beauty in the style of Madame Tussaud’s. I don’t think I’ll ever grow bored with this series and quickly was swept up into the mystery and these characters.
