This read-a-thon is in conjunction with the March Take Control of Your TBR Pile Challenge. However anyone can join. All you need is a pile of books, an ereader or audiobooks released before March 1, 2016. The idea of this thon is to read only books from your TBR pile for 24 hours. You can choose to read during the daylight hours or you can get jacked up on Caffeine and go the distance. The idea is to have fun, reduce your TBR pile and make new friends.
I am excited to announce a blog tour for Breaking the Story. We met Scottie Darden in Merry Mary and her adventures continue in Breaking the Story as a story meant to turn her flailing career around unearths a scandal that could turn the 2016 presidential election upside down. Scottie soon finds herself in a deadly situation. While, Merry Mary introduced us to Scottie, Breaking the Story works as a standalone. Come join the tour! We are offering review stops, guest posts, interviews, excerpts and spotlights. There will also be a tour wide giveaway. ARC’s are available for both Merry Mary and Breaking the Story.
Take Control was a blast last year and many of you made space on your shelves for new books. Let’s do it again! Take Control of Your TBR pile is entering its fourth year and is one of my favorite events. The rules are simple. For the entire month of March you ditch the ARC’s and read/listen to books in your TBR pile released before March 1, 2016. They can be eBooks, physical books or audiobooks. Let’s clean off those shelves, finish those series and trilogies and have some fun.
It’s a brand new year which means it is time to set my reading challenge goals. Below are a list of Challenges I am participating in. I declared my intentions on Goodreads and will once again be shooting for 250 books read in 2016.
Now squee with me because Sarah MacLean has a brand new series called Scandal & Scoundrel. The first book The Rogue Not Taken releases December 29th and I for one cannot wait to devour it. Grab some coffee and a scone folks because I have so much to share…insider looks, giveaways and more….
August is Read-A-Romance Month and a few of my fellow #XOxperts* and I are celebrating the Joy of Romance. A special thanks to Victoria @ Arts Books & Coffee who has mad social skills and coördinated everything. Check out my review of Sustained by Emma Chase. This is the second book in her new Legal Briefs series but it works as a standalone. I adore Chases’ writing. Her character Drew Evans from the Tangled series is one of my favorite bad boys but, I might just cheat on him with Jake Becker. Enjoy, enter the giveaways and then be sure and visit the other stops.
As I sit here preparing Caffeinated’s 4-year Blogoversary post I find it hard to believe that four years have passed so quickly. I started blogging in August of 2011 and had absolutely no idea what I was doing. Friendships, personal growth and the community have made the journey joyous and I look forward to many more years. I hope you will join me in celebrating. Last year I did a scavenger hunt and it was a blast. This year I am going to go easy on you and just say “Thank You.”
On May 6th thanks to a special invitation from St. Martin’s Press and Big Honcho Media I had the privilege of being part of a phone interview with the lovely, funny and talented Darynda Jones. She is author of the hilarious, swoon-worthy, action packed Charley Davidson series. As many of you know this is one of my favorite series and it was very difficult not to completely fan girl. We had an interesting panel of bloggers and the questions asked gave us insight into the series. We learned some interesting tidbits and shared a few laughed. So today I am going to share some of the questions asked, give you a look at the newest book Eighth Grave After Dark and then share a giveaway provided by St. Martin Press just for you.
With Spring in full swing I have a tendency to get in a romantic mood. Maybe it’s the green grass, birds singing or a simple as we celebrate our Anniversary in April. Because of that I thought I would share a few of my favorite romances. This wasn’t easy. So I did the simplest of things. Grab a cup of iced tea or coffee and a scone, enjoy and then tell me your favorite romance novels.
In 2014 I added audiobooks to my many methods of reading, and I am enjoying the ride. Below you will find my top ten listens in 2014. Grab some cocoa and a holiday cookie.
