A snow storm swept in on Wednesday, shuttering school but ended up fizzling out with less than two inches and a lot of ice. On Saturday we did a girl’s day shopping trip and then took Sophia out for dinner to celebrate her eighth birthday, which is later this week. Stay Caffeinated.

We haven’t gotten much snow until today, but not enough for Snow Days. Glad you had a fun girls day out.

    Have a good week, Kimberly!

  2. Meezan

Happy Birthday to Sophia! That is great news about the new Amazon e-book return policy. Hopefully they will follow through and it won’t be delayed too much longer. Have a great week! 🙂

  3. Wendy

We had almost a full week of snow closures. They only went to school one day last week because of snow, and they are predicting more tonight. Have a great week, Kimberly and Happy Birthday to Sophia!

We got a tiny bit of snow, but not anything enough to cancel school. However since we only had 3 days with students this week, I didn’t complain. But our district did start making all the plans so that if we know far enough ahead of time, like not the morning of a school cancellation, but earlier the night before, they can set up online school requirements for the day so we don’t have to make up any days at the end of the year. Sounds like you had a nice weekend!

I cannot believe Sophia is 8! Happy birthday to the princess! How time flies! Ugh to snow – so glad we haven’t been hit that bad yet (and preferably not at all).

I’m really glad Amazon is updating their return policy for ebooks – any word on doing similar to audiobooks? I only buy from Audible if I have no other choice because it’s such a reprehensible return policy.

    Have a great week!

That is a weird snow storm. We also got some snow on Wednesday but was just a little bit but did get a bit icy once the sun set. I am happy to see Harmony of Lies on your list, I am excited for that one as well.

Glad that the expected snow storm didn’t cause the havoc that was feared – keep warm and cosy, Kimberly:).

  8. Mareli Thalwitzer

It’s unbelievably hot here in SA, I can’t even think of snow! But glad it wasn’t too bad and you guys got to celebrate Sophia’s birthday.

Enjoy all the new book editions and have a lovely week!

Glad the snow wasn’t too bad, and the girls day sounds so nice! Enjoy your books this week, it’s been too long since I read Lori Foster.

  10. Jodie

Happy Birthday to Sophia! I hope the snow and ice stays away for awhile. Have a wonderful week ahead Kimberly.

  11. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Sounds like a good week all in all! Minus the icy snow storm! I can’t believe Sophia is 8 already! I can remember you mentioning her birth here on the blog! Where has the time gone!

Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones but I hope you will enjoy each and every one of them!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

Honestly Kimberly, the more I age, the more I despise winter! Or at least teh more I despise owning a car, without a garage to park it in LOL I hope you had fun with Sophia! Have a great Sunday!

Thank goodness it fizzled out. I keep waiting for snow here but so far we haven’t had any. We have had the paths freeze though so we have had the awful ice and none of the fun of the snow!

    Have a great week!

  14. Greg

Sounds like a pretty good week! I’ll have to check out your grant review- I have her Wayward series I want to start in 2023.

  15. LORI CASWELL

Yeah, the snowstorm wasn’t much here either, about 1-2 inches. Our daughter said it was slippery out but we never left the house 🙂

    Have a great week!

  16. Katherine

Happy birthday to Sophia and what a fantastic sounding girls day! Snow days here usually end up with nothing but our world kind of shuts down if we get more than a 1/2 inch or so of snow! Have a great week!
