Welcome 2023! Wishing you all a happy, healthy and prosperous new year! Our holidays have been a blur of activity with the grandchildren home for winter recess. I binge watched The Witcher: Blood of Origin. So gory and good. I met my Goodreads goal and came in three books ahead 203/200. For the Audiobook Challenge, I managed 118 audiobooks. Stay Caffeinated.

You don’t keep track? How to remember if you read a book or not? Or is it, that you don’t track yearly totals?

      • Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

Oh yes, I definitely track my reading! And I do note the format I read. But at the end of the year I guess I note how much I read overall and don’t break it out by format. I did go back and check, though, since I was curious and my audio total was 52. 🙂

Congratulations on your goals! The new Simone St. James book looks great and I’m adding that to my TBR. Have a wonderful week and happy New Year!

    • Kimberly

It’s one of her backlist titles. I grabbed An Inquiry Into Love and Death with a gift card this weekend.

Thanks Sophia. Your numbers were impressive. I haven’t reached those since pre-grandkids…lol Happy New Year!

  2. Rachel @Waves of Fiction

I haven’t been on the computer much for the last couple of weeks taking an unscheduled blog break. So busy. I just made my Audiobook Challenge of 100 books! Down to the wire there with completing the last one last night! I’ll be doing up my final check in post combining it with my sign up for the 2023 sign up. Thanks again for hosting! Hope you enjoy the rest of the holiday, Kimberly!

  3. Terrie @ Bookshelf Journeys

Congrats on your reading goals – there’s a sense of satisfaction when you reach it, isn’t there? Hope you have a fabulous year of good reading in 2023.

Agreed. I honestly didn’t think I would. Every month I was behind, but the HoHoHo readathon and books on my tbr pile pushed me. Happy New Year.

Happy New Year! You had an awesome reading year! I like the Witcher show and looking forward to the next season.

  5. Greg

    Happy New Year!!!!! *confetti* lolol

I haven’t watched any of the Witcher stuff but my kids know all about it ! 🙂

  6. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Glad to hear you had nice holidays! And yay for meeting your challenges!

Nice new reads! I need to add this new St. James novel to my list! I remember seeing it at some point and thought it sounded good! Though I am starting to get a little stab of guilt every time I add a new TBR book and old ones continue to go unread and all that! Lol.

    Happy Reading!

    Here’s my StS

  11. Lorna

I’m jealous you have a new Simone St. James book! I watched the first season of Witcher back when it first came out. I haven’t watched the second season. It’s gory huh? I don’t remember a lot of details. Anyway, Happy New Year again.

I’ve already devoured Silence for the Dead. The others won’t need a review until May, so I am digging into my January/February tbr pile.
