This week Sophia fell sick, and it ended up being the flu. I got the funk but not the flu, nor Covid. Thank you for vaccines and boosters. No fever, but I had all the fun stuff. My oldest and Princess Hazel both tested positive for Covid last Sunday. They had symptoms that very much mirrored the flu, but are feeling much better. Clayton turned six this week…. I can hardly believe it. The HoHoHo Readathon is in full swing and I am loving it. If you haven’t signed up, you still can. Deets in the sidebar. Stay Caffeinated.

Isn’t it weird that all different illnesses are hitting your family at the same time? These viruses are crazy how they jump around. Some people get one but not other. We live in strange times.

Yes. I finally went to the doctors after 3 weeks of trying to treat head cold on my own. It’s a sinus infection and apparently ears too. I just assumed ear pain was pressure from head cold.

Hope all the funk, the flu, and the COVID disappears soon and you enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving… Your post reminded me that it has been a while since I read a new Nora Roberts…

Sorry to hear about your family’s health issues.
I planned for #Fraterfest and enjoyed it. Maybe next year my life won’t be so hectic going into the holidays and I can join in HoHoHo.
I like the looks of both of your new books.
    Happy Reading!

There is so much going around right now. It’s that time of year I guess. I hope you are all feeling better. I have never read a Nora Roberts book, but I definitely want to. I bought one of her books a long time ago. I think it’s time to read it! 🙂

Sometimes it is scary how time flies. Belated happy birthday Clayton! Here in Germany we still need to do a test when we show flu like symptoms. The fear, that there could be a new covid wave is high. But most restresults show it is only the flu or the sniffles. Ah well… Hope you all will recover soon and have a great weekend and new week. Happy reading!

I am sorry your place got so sick. But yeah there are definitely other illnesses out there other than covid we still need to be mindful of. Hope you all get better soon. I see that you added a Nora Roberts to your library, hope you enjoy!

Sorry to hear you and others in the family have been sick! There’s a lot going around these days (Covid, flu, RSV…) I hope everyone feels better soon. And happy birthday to Clayton!

Also, enjoy The Choice! I can’t wait to read it… but I’m going to have to. I put it on my Christmas wish list, so the family rule is, I can’t buy or read it until after Christmas. Next time I will know better, and just preorder myself a copy!

Omg no! 🙁 I’m so sorry to hear you and your family are still unwell. Did Clayton have a good birthday in the end? I was concerned he’s still be feeling under the weather for it. Still, it sounds like you’re really trooping on.
I saw the Nora Roberts book there – I LOVE her! Absolutely fantastic author, I hope you like it xx

Ugh, being sick is no fun! Hope everyone is getting better in time to enjoy the holiday this week! Blood is Thicker than Lots of Stuff is a great title! I love that! I almost signed up for the readathon, but just have a few too many review books signed up and still trying to do some NaNoWriMo if possible. Hope you have a good Thanksgiving week!

It’s definitely that time of the year when we start to experience the seasonal viruses. I’m sorry to hear your family is sick – my family is sick too. I hope you enjoy your new arrivals and have a wonderful week ahead.

  12. Vicki

Sorry about everyone who has been sick, hope they are better soon. My mon’s name is Hazel 🙂

    Happy Belated Birthday to Clayton!

I hope you all have a great week!

  13. Emily @Budget Tales Book Blog

I hope that everyone gets well soon. Where do the years go?!

I love the snow background on your blog. My mum has said that we will probably never see proper snow again due to global warming. I have chosen to ignore that!!

I hope that you have a healthier week this week.

  14. Katherine

Happy birthday to Clayton and I’m so glad to hear that everyone is feeling better but what a rough time of it you’ve all had! I think I’m going to buy a copy of The Choice. I’ve waited in line for the audio at the library for the previous two books but I can’t wait that long for this one! Have a wonderful week!

  15. Greg

Glad everyone is feeling better. the flu, Covid… ugh. And happy birthday to Clayton. I love the snowflakes on the blog, BTW. Seems appropriate since we’re having a blizzard here, practially. Lotsa snow.

Yay for the HoHoHo! Hard to believe it’s almost holiday time already. 🙂
