This is the Royals last week of school, but Mr. C and I are escaping for a few weeks. On Wednesday we are driving to Florida to see my mother, whom we haven’t seen since pre-covid and will visit our son, who lives about forty-five minutes from her. After our visit with them, my husband booked us a bed-and-breakfast in NOLA. We have some scheduled sites to visit that we missed the last time we stayed. So many of my favorite books are set there and while I am not interested in Bourbon St, we love the history, manors and atmosphere. Elbow hugs! Stay Caffeinated.

Sounds like you have an amazing adventure in the upcoming few days. Do you guys listen to audio books together? Glad you are able to get out and visit your family. Looks like you had a great week!! Enjoy your trip!!

Oh, jealous of the NOLA trip! Even though I know it is probably horribly hot there right now. And I get the not being interested in Bourbon street. I mean I was glad to go once, but now I like to go to the city for the history and other things. I’ve got one more week of school too, but I actually have 5 extra days in my contract after all the rest of the teachers so I’ll be still in for a little longer. Have a great trip!

What an exciting trip you have ahead! I’m glad that you finally get to visit your Mom after so long as well as your son. Have a great time in NOLA too! Have a wonderful week ahead Kimberly!

  12. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Oh that sounds like fun! I’m not a Bourbon St. kind of gal either but I have to admit, I love NOLA! There’s such history there and I love learning about the different haunted sites down there! Lol. I’ve been twice–for bookish events, though I did go a few days early for one of them that I got the 24 hour highlights of NOLA! Plus my event did a few things too that allowed me to see the city! It was amazing! I’ve read quite a few books set in NOLA as well and I always love seeing things I recognize pop up in the books as well! Hope you and your husband have a blast!

Nice new read! That’s a new to me one but I hope you enjoy it!

    Here’s my StS

I have always wanted to see NOLA, I hope you have a blast enjoying the rich culture down there, it’s one of the most unique cities we have in the states. So happy you get to visit your mother, long time not seeing each other so I hope the visit is a joy-filled one.
