Sophia turned seven this week and today is her birthday party. The Royals had eLearning on Friday and again Monday with the cold temperatures. It was nice not having to drive them to school. I’ve been digging into books in my TBR pile and devoured four this week. Of course, I should have been writing reviews. I have five to write this afternoon, after the party. I thought January would never end…one more day. We’ve got two February birthdays and I am counting down the days until Spring. I need to start my taxes soon too. Elbow hugs! Stay Caffeinated.

a belated birthday wish to Sophia! Hope she had a lovely party.. I do enjoy Beverly Jenkins books so need to check the one you list here

  2. Lorna

I loved Running Wild. Of course not quite as much as the first 3 but still. Iโ€™m ready for another Calla book. If I had 5 reviews to write quickly I would be crazed. lol I donโ€™t do well under pressure anymore. I think my age is catching up with me big time. Hope Sophiaโ€™s party went well.

Happy birthday to Sophia! I can’t believe she is 7. The schools here have gone back to virtual for the next few weeks too. Have a great week!

  4. Jenni Elyse

Happy birthday to your daughter! I like your little reading icons, with the mug and headphones. This is my first week participating. I hope my format is okay.

  5. Tyler H. Jolley

Four books in a week?! That’s amazing, Kimba! Happy belated birthday to Sophia!

Happy Birthday to Sophia! Hope it was a good party.
Sounds like you got in some good reading.
I hope you all stay warm and healthy.
    Happy Reading!

Happy birthday to Sophia! And five reviews in one day – wow! It takes me an hour to write a review (at least) — I’m too much of a perfectionist, I think. Good luck with your taxes; we need to do ours, too, but I don’t think we have all the paperwork yet.
    Have a great week!

    Happy Birthday Sophia!!!

This cold weather has been brutal. We didn’t venture out last week at all.

Stay warm and have fun with those reviews.

wow, seven years. happy birthday sophia. this week has been our coldest weather yeat here in florida. hope it doesn’t last very long. it stills amazes me that we were in the 70s through the christmas holidays.. my biggest reading goal this year…most of the books i read any more i got free, whether for review, through a giveaway, newsletters….i am going to do my best to review. last year, i read a lot and probably reviewed half of what i read, though i did rate all of them on goodreads. have a great week kim

Like you, I’m not a fan of January either, so I’m also glad to see the back of the long chilly nights and short gloomy days! Though I’m also a bit horrified at the speed with which 2022 is sliding by… The books you’ve lined up look great – and I hope you have a peaceful enjoyable week, Kimberly:).

I’ve really got to get more books from my TBR bookcase read and stop buying more! Glad you were able to get some of those read. My last job I missed being at work. With my new one I’d be okay if I had to work from home for e-learning, since I don’t get to do library stuff most of the day anyway. I’d rather do the virtual learning student stuff at home and sleep in a bit. Oh well. Have a great week!

Sounds like you had a great week. I have to write reviews almost as soon as I’ve finished the book – if I leave it too long I struggle as I’ve lost the “emotional” impact the book had.
    Have a super week!!

  13. Lover of Romance

Sounds like you are in for an exciting but busy day and hope that birthday party is a blast!!! January tends to always feel like the slowest month of the year right? But we are almost there haha

    Have a great reading week.

  14. Mrs. S

Oh I hope it’s a lovely birthday party! I know what you mean about reading instead of doing reviews. I have several to get done myself.

    Happy birthday to Sophia!

It’s nice that eLearning is an option now on miserable days

My bank is dragging its feet about sending out tax forms, which is frustrating me. I have everything else ready to send to our accountant.

    Enjoy your week!

  16. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Glad the week went well! And yay for reading TBR books! I keep hoping to read more of those this year too but Tuesday is such a big release day and I might be wanting to read a lot of those books before I move back to my TBR ones! Lol.

Nice new reads! I still need to start Kelley’s new series here! I’ve seemed to have fallen behind on her books and usually I’m so up to date on hers! I’ve a few anthologies of hers I want to read and maybe 2 back releases, then a few more of her newer releases. So very very behind! Lol!

Hope you enjoy the new reads!

Happy birthday to Sophia. Hope she has a nice day. Four books in a week is impressive. Good luck with your review writing. I’m looking forward to spring too. We’ve had a little sunshine here in the UK this weekend and it’s getting me excited. Have a great weekend.
