My week was crazy and I am feeling a tad overwhelmed. On Saturday, we celebrated Clayton’s fifth birthday, and he had a blast! I am on target for my Goodreads goal, but I am not sure if I will hit it this year. I am at 174 of 200. I am at 108 for my Audiobook Challenge and hope to hit 125. I am just going with the flow and we will see what happens. I tried to visit everyone back this week, but some nights I didn’t get to sit down until after 9 pm and struggled to stay awake. I am now nursing a head cold, which ya’ll know is my normal November. Elbow hugs! Stay Caffeinated.

My brother is like you; winter has him in a constant grip of sniffles and colds and more, and I hope you feel better soon..
The three books on your new shelf look gorgeous!!

I feel for him. While working from home has kept me from coming down with pneumonia, I suffer all winter with colds. I went to the doctor today and have ear infections, strep and sinus infection.

I hope you feel better quickly. I am going through the same today, hoping it will be a one-day thing.
I set my GR goal a little lower this year and have met it with almost two full months left. I still plan to listen to some longer books.
Have a good week, feel better and Happy Reading!

Happy birthday Clayton! How is he 5 already? I’m so sorry your cold is getting worse. I hope you feel better soon. I love the cover for The Lady Tempts an Heir though partially because I would love a dress in that color! I hope you have a wonderful restful week.

  4. Louise Hallett

I didn’t have time to visit many blogs last week either – work kept me very busy. Glad you enjoyed some time with family! Happy reading and listening.

  5. Anne - Books of My Heart

No no to the head cold. Happy birthday to Clayton! I should have started the Max Abbadon at the beginning. Sigh. With the time change, I haven’t changed. I just go to bed an hour earlier and get up and hour earlier, so I’m at my same schedule even though the clock shows differently.

It was a tiring week for me, too! I think I’m track to meet my audiobook and GRs challenge, too. Good luck on your challenges. Hope you feel better, Kimberly!

Hi Kimberly! Life is hectic on my side as well and I don’t know how you get it right to read/listen to so many books an run your blog and still have a life. I salute you!

Hope your headcold is better soon. Looking forward to Ho-Ho-Ho starting this week1

Sorry for the head cold that sucks. Aww Happy Birthday to the little guy, 5 is such a fun age. Hope you have a great week.

  10. Sophia Rose

Already five, bet he’s getting big. This season gets me to feeling overwhelmed at times and being under the weather doesn’t help. Hopefully, you’ll hit your reading goals, but mostly for the fun of it and not the stress. Hugs!

I am sorry to hear you’re feeling overwhelmed and have a head cold. I hope you feel better next week. Happy birthday to Clayton!

  12. A Voracious Reader

I also had a crazy week. I’m getting zero reading done and that increases my crankiness. Hubby and Kyle waking up early each day doesn’t help. I hope we both have better weeks this week.

We all just do the best we can, with visiting our blogging friends, with meeting our reading goals. For me this year was just one long extension of 2020, so I’m choosing to give myself a little slack.

They are big reading reading goals! They are numbers I can only dream of ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ I set myself genre goals instead, a few a month then I don’t get pressurised! I average about 8 books a month.

  15. Juli @ A Universe in Words

Ooh that really does sound like a busy week! I might finally hit my Goodreads challenge of 100 books for the first time ever, so I have no idea where you find the time for all the reading you’re doing! Major props to you! I hope your headcold passes soon and that you have a great week ahead ๐Ÿ™‚

I really feel ya about the reading challenge, I actually changed mine because I originally had it at 350 but I know I won’t make it when I had my hiatus for half the year and I didn’t read that much during it. So I hope to make it close to 300 but we shall see what happens. I am just relaxing with my reading and seeing what happens there.

I hope you are able to reach your goals. Can you believe that it’s already November???

  17. Laurel-Rain Snow

You have had a very busy week, and the number of books you’ve read is amazing considering everything else going on.

I hope you feel better soon!
