We started the week cold, but ended in the high 50s with plenty of sunshine. It was my long week, so this weekend I am playing catch up. I’ve got four reviews to write and a tour package to get together. Despite being a busy week, we managed a date night and had the Royals over for dinner. My weekend has been spent cleaning, catching up on work and the blog. I hope you had a wonderful week. We turn back the clock today. I don’t mind falling back, but would prefer we skip the whole move forward an hour in the spring. Elbow hugs! Stay Caffeinated.

Tyler H. Jolley
Dang, you had a busy week! I’m bummed Daylight Saving’s is over. I hate getting out of work and having it be dark. Oh well, worse things could happen. Hope you have a happy and healthy week, Kimb!
MarthaE
I think lots of us agree we would prefer to stay on one time instead of springing and falling. Sounds like a busy week for you.
Hape you have another good week and Happy Reading!
Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books
I wish we didn’t do the spring forward thing either… Really annoying. I’ve always wished we’d just stay on GMT here. Sigh.
I hope you have a good week! A Swift and Savage Tide is on my wish list but I’ve still got to read book one (which I own… just haven’t read.)
sjhigbee
We had our clock change last weekend and the evenings have closed in and got so much darker an hour earlier! So, like you, I wish we didn’t have the whole wretched business. Have a good week, Kimberly:).
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
Sunny and 50s in the fall is lovely — sweater weather! Sounds like you had a busy week. I enjoyed the extra hour of sleep this morning, but I’m not enjoying the early darkness — it’s 4:30 pm and the sun will set in half an hour.
I need to read those Kit Brightling books — they look like so much fun!
Sarah
Yes! Totally for skipping the whole jump forwards in Spring. I couldn’t really say where this week went, it just suddenly ended. Happy to hear you snuck in a date night. š
Rachel
I got a copy of Fated Blades, too and I can’t wait! Just read the first two last night and loved them.
Sounds like you’re having some nice Fall weather! I love the fall back, but like you I’d like to skip the spring forward! No thanks! Have a lovely week, Kimberly!
Vi @Inkvotary
We turned the clock back already during the last October weekend. It is such crap. Glad you could do some work. I wish I could say the same *sigh* Have a great new week and tell Clayton that he looks great with his new haircut. Happy reading.
Sophia Rose
Busy week for you and a good deal of fun mixed in. Last week was my busy one and this was the catch up. I got Fated Blades, too. Hopefully you get all your reviews and tours worked up.
Have a good week, Kimberly!
Wendy Williams
I live in Arizona where we don’t change the clocks and it’s so nice! I wonder when/if the rest of the country will follow?
Anne - Books of My Heart
oh it was in the 40s here for a few days and I am looking forward to the 70s again this week. The lowest highs here average around 50. I can’t believe it is November and I seem to always be playing catchup on my reading. You got some great reads in your haul!
sherry fundin
glad to hear you are doing well. it’s chilly here and i find, this year, i am okay with it. i love the heat, but my body no longer does, so doing away with 90 degrees is okay. maybe i can get outside and do some cleaning up
Louise Hallett
Our clocks changed last week – I’d rather skip the whole business because the extra hour isn’t worth the dark evenings! I really MUST get around to read Illona Andrews – I’ve heard so many good things about their work.
Lori Caswell
I am loving this weather in the 50’s. I wish it would stick around all month š
I too am working today but the shine shining in the windows seems to make it easier.
Have a fun week!!
Mary Kirkland
I would love a high of 50 right now. Looking forward to getting out of the 80’s soon.
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
I agree about not enjoying the spring forward time change. But I’d be okay if we just quit doing it. Although I do really like thinking I have an extra hour of sleep. Our weather was similar with colder during the week but warming up by the weekend. Have a good week!
Tanya @ Girl Plus Books
I got a chuckle from you saying the week started out cold but ended up in the high 50’s. To me, the 50’s *is* cold! LOL
Stormi
See I am the opposite, I would rather not fall back so we can have more daylight at night. I hate it being dark at 5pm because then what can you do outside, nothing. š I would rather they just spring forward and leave it like that instead of going back.
S. J. Pajonas
I would prefer if we moved forward in Spring and then STAYED THERE FOREVER. Lol. I hate that it will now be dark before 5pm. Sigh. But there’s always something for me to be cranky about when it comes to winter, so what else is new? Lol. Sounds like you had a good week! I hope everyone is healthy there. <3
Emily
Its been a cold but sunny week here. We changed our clocks on 31 October so had an extra long Halloween! Ive got the Richard Osman book coming for Christmas which I am quite excited about!
Jen at Introverted Reader
I agree that springing forward is so much more difficult. I wish we would just choose one and stick with it.
I’m dying to read Gilded so I’ll keep an eye out for your review.
Enjoy your week!
SJ
I wouldn’t be sad if they got rid of Daylight savings time. Fall is easier than Spring.
Lorna
Iām glad the weather is cooperating for you this week. Itās been cooler here and itās been going down to freezing at night. You stay so busy! I love that you all have date night still. This time change is messing with me already.
Lola
Sounds like you had a busy week, but that’s nice you got a date night in and had the royals over for dinner. We turned the clocks back last weekend, I don’t mind this change as much, but the change is spring is always so tough. I wish we just stuck with one time. Have a great week!
Tessa
Iām totally with you – spring forward is the worst. Hope you had a productive weekend, and have a great week!
A Voracious Reader
We were also chilly this week but temps are supposed to go back up to the 60s, even 70s. I hope so. I agree that the whole Spring Forward thing needs to just stop. DST is stupid.
jessicabookworm
Glad to hear you had a good, productive week and squeezed a date night and family time. ⤠Also pleased you enjoyed your audio copy of The Man Who Died Twice – I just finished reading my copy too. š
Dianthaa
Hope you have a good week!
We turned back the clock last week and I’m so miserable now that it’s getting dark so early, I just want to plop down and sleep at 6 pm.
Laura Thomas
Yeah, the time change is a pain when you lose an hour. The extra hour of sleep in the fall is good though. LOL
vvb
Have a good week š
Lover of Romance
I really hate these time changes haha it always takes some time for the body adjust to it.
Looks like you had a great week though. I am really curious about Fated Blades though.
Yvonne @ Socrates Book Reviews
I feel the same way as you do about the time change.
I hope you enjoy your books and have a great week!
Katherine
I’m so with you on the time change. I like the fall back but despise the spring forward nonsense. I’m exhausted and just generally discombobulated for months when that happens. We have very different ideas of cold as 50s is super cold to me but I’m glad you had a good week and got a date night in! Hope next week is wonderful.
Laurel-Rain Snow
I don’t like the back and forth time changes! It is easier to deal with the fall back, though.
Sounds like you’ve had a good week. Enjoy the upcoming one!
Maureen @ Maureenās Books
Iām happy to read you still got to do date night! Thatās so important!
The clock went back here last week.. and the kids definitely had some trouble adjusting to it. Ugh..
Have a great week and happy reading.
Kelly Lyn
I would like to keep the time in Daylight Savings permanently. I love having as much sun as possible at the end of the day.
Hope you have a great week
Greg
I’m the same way with the time change. Hope you have a good weekend!!!
