Well, my husband tested positive for Covid. We went to the doctor’s on Friday for sore throats, fever, headaches, etc. I have ear infections, strep and sinusitis, but the Doctor is also treating me for Covid, since I probably have it. It’s that or test every few days. Touching my brain with a Q-Tip once is enough, thank you. Our daughter now has it and her MIL. The Royals are with their Daddy and will be tested Monday. We’ve gone nowhere for over a year and to be so close to vaccines and then to get it. Ugh. Elbow hugs! Stay Caffeinated.

After I saw your tweet earlier I got thinking that you all probably had it too. I’m so sorry and sending prayers. Have you been vaccinated yet? I mean I know you can still get it after vaccine but it’s supposed to be lessened. Our numbers are going up in Maryland. It’s nowhere near being done yet!

  2. ShootingStarsMag

Ugh, I’m so sorry you’ve all been dealing with Covid along with all your other issues! That’s awful. When I got tested for Covid in January (I had it), they also did a strep test and a flu test so it was not fun. It’s definitely a bummer to be so close to a vaccine and get it. I know that feeling, but hopefully you’ll all be okay soon and get a vaccine even sooner!

Oh Kim, I am so sorry you are doing poorly and that covid snuck in. It is so frustrating when you follow the rules and still get it. Hopefully it is a mild case you don’t end up in the hospital. I am jealous you got Isn’t it Bromantic. I have been pending for awhile now. Take care of yourself.

  4. Tyler H. Jolley

Oh man, Kimba! I’m so sorry you got it. I never said anything, but I actually had it the last two weeks of the year. I slept a ton–but to be honest, I’m a professional napper anyway. I hope you have a mild case. Get better!

  5. Jen at Introverted Reader

Oh no! I hope you all recover quickly and the Royals stay well. You were so close!

I find myself getting more anxious than I’ve been since the first couple of months of the pandemic as more and more of my friends and family get vaccinated and want to visit. I’m not vaccinated! Just give me a little more time until it’s my turn! Ugh.

    Take care!

  6. MarthaE

So sorry to hear your family got the Covid, especially so close to the vaccine as you noted.
I hope everyone recovers fully without too much downtime.
You had several reviews this week I want to check out.
Oh – a new Darynda Jones. I’ll have to get that soon.
Prayers being sent your way. Have a good week and enjoy your reading.

  7. Joyousreads

Oh, no. I hope you’ll all feel better soon. That sucks, isn’t it? You do your part all year long only to come down with this dreadful virus.

    Air hugs to you, Kimberly.

  8. Katherine

Oh no! I’ve known a few people who have gotten it recently and it just seems so unfair. I hope the Royals test negative and continue to feel okay. I hope you are all getting lots of rest and feel better soon.

  9. Sophia Rose

Well, when you put it like that… I shouldn’t tease. Wishing you all well and hope the son in law and Royals stay Covid-free while the rest of you get better.
I got A Good Day for Chardonnay and Isn’t It Bromantic, too.

Hopefully your week will get better, Kimberly!

  10. Sophie

I am so sorry that you all are sick Kimberly!!! I hope you’ll soon be out of the woods and completely healed. Sending hugs and positive vibes from Belgium!

  11. Lola

I am so sorry to hear your husband has Covid and you probably too. And your daughter and MIL as well. I hope you all recover smoothly. And that feels so sad when you’re staying home so much and still get it and so shortly before the vaccine too.

  12. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Oh no! That’s dreadful. I hope you all have a speedy recovery and that the Royals didn’t get it. It does suck that you follow all the rules and do everything you’re supposed to and you still catch it. Again, wishing you all a speedy recovery. <3

Nice new reads! Thinking I might need to just make myself more crazy busy and request the new Darynda Jones book. I am so behind on my TBR what with all these review books but I can't decide what to do about this one! Lol. Hope you enjoy all your lovely new reads!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

Oh no! I’m so sorry, Kim! I’m sending all my {{{posivibes}}} for speedy recoveries.

I didn’t know Sunny’s book was available so I hopped over to NetGalley to request.

I hope you have a safe and healing week, Kim.

  14. Vidya

So sorry to hear this… here is wishing all of you a speedy recovery….
Certainly sucks to be at this point in time and then get it..

  15. Greg

I’m sorry to hear that Kimba! Wishing you all a quick recovery and mild cases. It does suck to be so close and then have this happen. Take good care of yourselves… and yes not a fan of those tests. 🙁
