A SEAL's Oath

Wanted: one wife, one baby. Love not required.

Navy SEAL Boone Rudman has six months to find a wife and get her pregnant or he'll lose his chance to win 1,500 acres of prime Montana ranch land. So when he discovers Riley Eaton living on his new ranch, all grown up from the tomboy she used to be, he decides she'll do for his bride - whether or not she's got other plans.

Riley Eaton quit her job, sold her car, and moved to Chance Creek with her friends to pursue the dreams she'd put on hold for far too long. She has no idea her uncle sold the ranch out from under her - and has no plans to marry any time soon - but when Boone shows up, sexy as hell after 15 years in the service, she begins to wonder if her priorities are all wrong.

When duty turns to desire, Boone launches a campaign to win Riley's heart. But is it too little, too late? Or can he convince Riley to forget the past and create a future worth fighting for?

A SEAL's Vow

Navy SEAL Clay Pickett needs a wife, fast, or he'll lose the model sustainable community he and his friends came home to Chance Creek to build. He's got just the woman for the job in mind: sexy, sensitive Nora Ridgeway. Too bad she's not interested in rushing to the altar.

When Nora leaves her job as a school teacher to open a Jane Austen Bed and Breakfast with her friends - and finally get a chance to write her novel - she's relieved to escape the escalating threats of violence from an unknown student stalker, and more than a little interested in the Navy SEAL who's after her heart. But when trouble starts stalking her at Chance Creek, Nora begins to wonder if she's left her past behind after all.

Can Clay and Nora find a way to be together when everything is trying to tear them apart?

A SEAL’s Pledge

When Navy SEAL sniper Harris "Hawk" Wentworth stumbles on the ad calling for participants in a new sustainable community and TV show, he can't wait to join Base Camp in Chance Creek, Montana, and get started building a new future. After a lifetime of living on the fringes, always on the lookout for danger, he's ready to hang up his rifle and finally relax. And if someone else is willing to find him a bride, he's all for it.

Samantha Smith is willing to do anything to escape her long-time job driving the tour bus for the band her parents and sister play for. She's ready for marriage, a settled home - and motherhood. And she wants them all right now. She knows she could be happy at Base Camp, so when an episode of the reality television series ends with a call for a backup bride for one of the participants, Sam applies for the position - no questions asked. She's ready for whatever adventure awaits her.

When Harris picks her up at the airport instead of Curtis Lloyd, the man she was told she was meant to marry, Sam assumes Harris is Curtis's replacement - and if she's honest, she's relieved. The quiet, sexy sniper always caught her eye when he appeared on the show, and in person he's everything Sam's ever wished for in a husband.

SEALs and a Montana ranch; How could I resist? SEALs of Chance Creek: Books 1-3 Boxed Set written by Cora Seton & narrated by Noah Michael Levine delivered unique premise, romance and a little Austen.

Four friends, all Navy SEALs work out a deal to build a sustainable community, something the men are confident they can do. To get the word out about sustainable communities, they agree to be filmed for a weekly reality type show.

But their backer drops a few conditions as he dangles bait before them. They have six months to build their community and produce enough food to last the winter. Easy, right?

The catch? They’ll also have to marry and start families.

The bait? If they pull it off, they will get the title to the fifteen hundred acres of land…land that’s in their hometown of Chance Creek. If they fail? The land goes to a greedy developer.

A SEAL’s Oath

This story sets up the series and introduces us to the four SEALs, the heroine of this story, and her three college friends.

Riley Eaton loves beginning back in Chance Creek with her friends and living in the homestead her Uncle will bequeath to her one day. The ladies plan to spend six months pursuing their passions. I absolutely loved their idea, and would totally go for it. Fans of Austen will delight in their idea and the storyline.

Riley knows our hero Boone Rudman and his friends. In fact, they grew up together. Riley fell hard for Boone, but he’s only seen her as a little sister or tagalong friend. Truth is, Boone often thought of Riley.

The romance had its share of complications, but was also sweet with some moments of heat. There were some communication issues, but sheesh, how do you explain to someone the six-month challenge you have?

We get to know the other key characters and a few new ones. We begin to gain some knowledge of Base and how it will operate.

A SEAL’s Vow

This story belongs to Clay Picket and Nora Ridgeway. Nora left her teaching job out of fear and is slowly finding herself with the help of her friends.

Like Riley, Nora has to overcome her fear that Clay only wants to marry her because of a deadline, but Clay makes it clear from the beginning he only has eyes for Nora.

This delivered a suspenseful thread and family difficulties when Clay’s Dad shows up.

I slipped right in the story and enjoyed getting to know more about the other men and arriving women. The homes at Base Camp are unique, and I loved the design and concept.

The romance was sweet and heated.

A SEAL’s Pledge

I expected this to be one of the original SEALs stories, but this one belongs to Navy SEAL sniper Harris “Hawk” Wentworth. He answered Boone’s Ad. And while the community interested him, it was the prospect of a wife that had him signing up.

Without spoiling things, Samantha Smith was intended for Curtis Lloyd, but the other guy couldn’t be bothered to pick her up at the airport.

The tale that unfolds pits Harris against Curtis and Samantha has thirty days to choose before the wedding, but trouble is following Samantha.

This was good, and from the onset I was rooting for Harris, even if his insecurities drove me crazy. Miscommunication and tricks caused drama, but I never doubted the outcome.

It was good seeing development with Base Camp. I am looking forward to the next audio boxed set with SEALs of Chance Creek Books 4-6.

Noah Michael Levine narrated and gave voice to each of the characters. His female voices were believable, and I found his pacing and tone enjoyable.

This sounded familiar and then I realized I read one of hers in a different boxed set. I don’t blame you for wanting SEALs and a ranch. Love Levine’s narration work, too.
