It is freezing, even for us! It snowed this weekend with more coming today & tonight. It’s the perfect weather for reading by the fire. I declare today a pajama day! This week all the books & audios arrived in my Inbox. We celebrated my son’s birthday by ordering in dinner and there was cake. I’ve got the beginnings of a cold and hope it is short-lived. Elbow hugs! Stay Caffeinated.

We lucked out and missed the super cold weather by a smidge. I see like half the US has been plunged into arctic temperatures. This time of year is always rough. Stay warm, healthy and happy reading!
Katherine
I declared Sunday a pajama day too! Happy birthday to your son and cake is always a good decision! I hope the cold is already on its way out and you are feeling better. Have a great week!
Mary Kirkland
I wouldn’t mind a little snow. It’s been nice here. We actually have the door open.
vidya
belated birthday wishes to your son…. and hope your cold is short-lived..
my daughter will be celebrating her birthday soon..
vvb
Stay warm with this set of newbies.
MarthaE
Looks like you had a busy week. HB to your son and I hope you all enjoyed the cake.
Don’t let that cold get you down.
Lots of good books came your way with the snow. 🙂
Happy Reading!
ShootingStarsMag
Being cozy with a book sounds fantastic. I’m curious what you thought of In the Garden of Spite!
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
Ugh I’ve had a cold this week, it knocked me flat for a few days.
Lots of great books in your mailbox this week
Wishing you a great reading week, stay warm
Jen at Introverted Reader
Happy birthday to your son! Cake sounds good right now. Who am I kidding? Cake *always* sounds good!
Stay warm! Enjoy your week!
A Voracious Reader
{{{posivibes}}} that the cold goes away, both the illness and the weather. Hubby came home from Iowa just in time. It’s diamond-cutting-nipples there right now and this coming week. Stay warm!
sjhigbee
Urg! I HATE the snow and even we have it forecast… So I hope you have managed to have your pyjama day and nurse the cold into extinction. Wishing your son a belated birthday – it sounds a nice, cosy way to celebrate it. Have a good week, Kimberly:)
Tressa @ Wishful Endings
We have a lovely week of low to mid 70s and I’m hoping to enjoy it as much as possible as we’ll be warming up and turning the AC back on in about a month. I hope you get better quickly and stay warm!
S. J. Pajonas
We got so much snow too! And more today. Ugh. So not a fan. When’s summer again? 🙂 Cake and takeout sounds perfect for a birthday.
Anne - Books of My Heart
I REALLY hope the cold doesn’t take root. You have a great book haul! I’m in my PJ pants. I miss people from Minnesota but not the weather. I can always take a ski vacation if I want that weather except in a place with better skiing hills.
Laura @ Library of Clean Reads
I hope you’re enjoying your pajama day! I’ll have to check out your review of Four Winds. And I’ve had my eye on The Paris Library for awhile. Enjoy your reading and listening!
Maya @herbookishdesires
It is also really cold where I am at! I have been wearing two pairs of pants lately because I just can’t stand it when I am cold – I also don’t mind being all bundled up ? Pajama days are the best kinds of days! Hope you and yours are doing well, staying warm and staying healthy!
Angela
Best wishes for a speedy recovery! It is nice to watch the snow fall!
Jinjer
Oh no, a cold! Yuck. Hope you feel good enough to read by the fire! Take care and get well soon!
Stephanie Jane
You’ve got snow too? We’ve only had rain here – and lots of it! I’ve included a flood pic in my post.
Never mind. Pyjama Day it is!
Belated Happy Birthday wishes to your son 🙂
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
Happy birthday to your son! We have snow here, too, although it’s just above freezing, so it’s not sticking to the roads much, just grass and trees. Sure is pretty, though. Definitely a good day for a pajama day. Looks like you’ve got plenty of new books for curling up by the fire to read!
Lori Caswell
It is so cold here. I would rather have the snow 🙂
Lisa Mandina
It got freezing here too! And we got more snow. Not a ton, but enough to be a nuisance. Yesterday was a pj day for me, and today will be until I have to get dressed to go to watch the Super Bowl with my immediate family at my brother’s house for my niece’s birthday tonight.
Rachel
I love Pajama Day! Sorry to hear it’s so cold, but I do love an excuse to read by the fire! Enjoy!
Trap and Trace looks interesting. I’ll have to check it out. 🙂
Samantha
We got snow last week and there is suppose to be some more coming later this week! Bring it on!!
Jamie @ The Fantasy Princess
It has been cold here too and we got about 5 inches of snow this past week. Shadowed Steel looks good, will have to check out the series. I hope your cold is gone fast and you feel better. Have a great week!
Stormi Johnson
It’s pretty cold here too and this week is going to be pretty cold. It will be the first time our highs don’t get any higher than mid 20s and the nights in single digits. I am so ready for spring!
Mar @ BOOKIVERSE
Sorry I added one bad link, the “Mar @ BOOKIVERSE” links to this site instead of mine. That’s what happens when you blog before coffee 🙂
Sounds like you had a good time at your son birthday. I hope you enjoy your PJs day and don’t get a cold. We are getting at least 8″ here too so I’ll follow your lead!
Jessica @ a GREAT read
We had a spit of snow last night. Naturally all day yesterday everyone was in a panic. But it was also likely super bowl related shopping as well. Hard to tell. Lol. It was probably both. Hope things clear up there soon for you, your cold included!
Nice new reads! I might wait until Penguin offers me Chloe’s new book! Love her books in this world. Though my review books are overwhelming me lately. Every time I get close to clearing the list I add 2 more! Lol. Happy Reading!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!

Happy birthday to your son! And I hope your cold is short-lived. I hope you stay warm and read lots of good books this week, Kimberly!
Lola
We got some snow here too, as well as some icy wind. It does look pretty outside. I hope you have a fun pajama day and that your cold will be over soon. Nice haul you got this week! I hope next week is a good one.
Erin @ Cracker Crumb Life
A pajama day sounds fun! Days like that are needed sometimes!
sherry fundin
it’s been a bit chilly here with rain. snow is pretty, but i am content to see it on tv instead of living in it. hope you feel better and a happy birthday to your son. hope you enjoy all your new reads
Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
I hope you stay warm during this cold time, and I (especially) hope you are able to get the start of a cold under control before it gets worse.
Diana @ Book of Secrets
I’m looking forward to reading The Four Winds! It’s bitterly cold & snowy in KC too. I was just telling my husband that wow, we haven’t had any days near zero yet this winter. Ha, ha. I jinxed it!
Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books
Sounds like a perfect pyjama reading day! I’m so envious of everyone’s snow… The UK is half covered in the stuff at the moment but, of course, I’m in the part that doesn’t have a single flake! *sigh* I’ll keep hoping…
Hope you have a good week and dodge the cold!
Lynn Williams
I hope your cold is short lived and the snow too – although it does make for less guilt free reading time in front of the fire.
Lynn 😀
Heather @ RandomRedheadedRamblings
Have a lovely pyjama day! It’s been snowing on and off for the last week here, I’m glad I’m working from home!
Have a good week.
Tessa
It sounds like your books arrived at the perfect time. Happy PJ Day!

I hope your new week is warm and cozy with lots of books. I loved The Four Winds and The Wrong Family, and want to read my copy of Layla soon.
Thanks for sharing, and stay safe.

Happy Birthday to your son! I hope you won’t get too much more snow.
Feel better and have a great week!
