Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.  See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

Our Thanksgiving dinner was on Saturday, and we had the full feast. While it was just my children and the Royals, I made everyone’s favorite sides and we had turkey & ham. On Thursday, we decorated the tree and put up the outside lights. My ankles are swollen and I’ve got oodles of reviews to write, but I am reading and binge watching season two of Virgin River. The #HoHoHoRAT ends tomorrow, I hope everyone had fun. Be safe, be kind, and Stay Caffeinated.

Hey Kimba! I’m so glad to year that you had a successful Thanksgiving. Ours was great too. The eldest came home early from college and we were happy to have the family together. Looks like you had a great turn out for the HoHoHoRAT!

  2. Lorna

Sounds like a really good family time. I cooked for my two friends and I and just did a turkey breast and sides. I am so done with turkey after 3 days of it! I’m sorry about your ankles. That can’t be comfortable. It’s pouring rain here and 5:30 am. I’m going to say goodnight now! Looking forward to the Vow review.

Glad to hear your holidays are off to a good start 🙂 Love that cover for War Widow, enjoy.

I’m glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. Nothing wrong with celebrating it a bit late — we’ve done that once or twice. I hope your ankles “deflate” soon. I hate having swollen ankles and feet.

Oh, Virgin River! I still need to watch the first season. And I’m very excited for the Bridgerton series, too.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving. I’m glad you had a nice day. My family has most of our Christmas decorations up, and it’s all very nice and cozy.

Sounds like you had a great Thanksgiving Kimberly. I got my decorations all up as well, hopefully it will bring some cheer to everyone, myself included. I also binge watched Virgin River and now am waiting to make sure there is a season three in the works.

Sounds like a lovely Thanksgiving with family. We were able to have the full meal with my husband’s sister and her husband. Got our lights and greenery up today, but I’ll have to do the inside and tree this week when the snow storm keeps me in.
Been loving HoHoHoRAT with my book stack and the fun activities. Reminds me, I need to get my Instachallenge post up still. 🙂

    Have a good week, Kimberly!

I binge watched season two of Virgin River yesterday! I like the scenery, the actors, and I feel like they got Mel’s cabin and Jack’s bar right. I wish they stayed true to the book plots, though. Glad to hear you enjoyed your Thanksgiving! 🙂

It sounds like you were able to have a wonderful Thanksgiving, always fun to get all the delicious food in right? I do want to watch that Virgin River series. I have enjoyed the books.

We’re unfortunately probably not putting up a tree this year due to our project in the basement. The basement is now all over the upstairs so we can have room to work. I’ll probably still put out some of the smaller decorations though.

Sorry to hear about your swollen ankles. I hope they will soon look normal again. Glad to hear you and your family could enjoy Thanksgiving. I am making plans to be together with my parents on Christmas. We are two households and with the stricter rules now I might need to go into a ten day selfisolation before I can be with them on the 24th. Thank you for hosting the HoHoHo! Happy reading and stay safe and well.

I wish we celebrated Thanksgiving over here in the UK, I feel like it sounds like something I would really love! Your feast sounds amazing.

I have also decorated my bedroom with a tree and lots of little decorations, and some warm fleece teddy polar bear bedding. It’s my birthday tomorrow so I’m trying not to think about Christmas until i’ve been on my holiday haha, but I’m just too excited.

Take care and get your feet up to help those ankles!! 🙂 x

  13. Lola

Sounds like you had a great thanksgiving! We also set up the tree this week, it’s always nice to have it standing again. Have a great week!

  14. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving with your family. It seems like everyone’s had a nice quiet holiday at home which is nice. Our Thanksgivings are usually small anyway, so nothing was very different for us. It was just the post-dinner plans that were altered. Instead of going out to see more family (or shopping for me) we all stayed home and watched a movie on TV…instead of just popping it in the DVD player so we didn’t have to sit through all the commercials. Lol. I offered to do it at least twice but no one seemed to jump on the idea. Lol.

Nice new read! That’s a new to me one. I hope you enjoy it once you get to read it!

  16. Berls

Sounds like a lovely week – we had our Thanksgiving on a different day too and I found myself thinking it’s much better earlier. Then I have more time to relax after the feast.

Take care of those ankles – put them up while you binge watch ?. Hope you have a great week!

  17. jessicabookworm

So good to hear you had a lovely, albeit quieter, Thanksgiving with your family and that you’ve been able to put your decorations up. I am planning to put mine up next weekend. ? Take care, rest those ankles and happy reading this coming week. ?

  18. sjhigbee

Glad your Thanksgiving feast went off so smoothly, Kimberly. I hope your ankles soon return to their normal size – in the meantime, I hope you are able to continue putting your feet up and enjoying your books and TV shows!

  19. Laura Thomas

Sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving. And I also did some decorating Friday, got some reading in and am right now binging the new season of Virgin River:)

  20. Laurel-Rain Snow

Your Thanksgiving sounds perfect! And I also binge-watched Season II of Virgin River. It was great.

Enjoy your books and the upcoming week. I love the look of The War Widow.

  21. Tressa @ Wishful Endings

I’m so glad you had a good Thanksgiving, even with the swollen ankles. I had so much computer week and late nights this week that mine were swelling up too. We hope to have decorations and lights up next week. Happy reading this coming week!
