Welcome November. In October, I read/listen to 29 books. I ended the month at 207/200 for Goodreads and 125/110 for Audiobook Challenge. I went with the Royals and their Mommy to get their flu shot. Clayton did well, Sophia … oh my. It didn’t take long before they were all smiles again. They were Bat Girl and Batman for Halloween. I am behind on writing reviews, but caught the first episode of season two of the Mandalorian. Is anyone else anxious about this week? Maybe I should switch to decaf for a bit. LOL Be kind, stay safe and Stay Caffeinated.

I’m so behind on visiting blogs. Probably just my mood. Or something. But I did save this to read. My email is unreal waiting for me to wade through it. Shots and children are usually not fun. I used to work in a pediatric clinic years ago. Brings back memories.
You’re doing great on your reading numbers. I think I’m at 156 of 170. Even though I read 202 last year I kept my number low this time. I’m glad I did because all the covid stuff has made it harder to get into reading- it’s better now-not so much when it first started.
Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books
You had a great reading month! Hope you enjoy Damned Souls… I loved how the author ended the series. (But I’m so sad it’s over!)
Over here, kids up to about 11/12 get a nasal spray for their flu vaccination. I wonder why it’s actual jabs in other places? Anyway, I’m glad it went okay for the Royals. 🙂
ShootingStarsMag
Aw, poor thing – I’m glad the flu shots are over and done with at least. I got mine, so cross that off the list. LOL
This is going to be such a stressful week. I imagine I’ll be watching lots of Christmas movies. LOL

I’m so anxious! And everything feels apocalyptic right now. Just gotta get through this week! Maybe we’ll see some relief by Friday. <3
Melliane
Yay for Annette Marie and for the new Alex Verus. Some nice series! Happy reading!
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
Way to go on your challenges! Since you didn’t mention your knee, I hope it’s doing a lot better. I bet the Royals were adorable in their costumes. Did they trick-or-treat, or just dress up?
I am incredibly anxious about this week, yes. I’m going to minimize my time online if I can, and try to do calming activities like reading, knitting, and spinning.
MarthaE
Sounds like you are feeling better. I am glad you are getting to spend time with your family.
Congratulations on making your goal with plenty of time to spare.
I think we will be glad when Tuesday passes… let’s hope there is a decision sooner than later.
Enjoy all of your reading!
Nise' (Under the Boardwalk)
So hard for the littles to get their shots. Will be glad when it is all over so we can go into the holidays with less stress (let’s hope). Congrats on reaching your goal. With October’s reading, I surpassed my goal.
Anne - Books of My Heart
Great book haul! You’ve finished up most of your challenges now you can just relax and enjoy your reads.
Carla
I am always behind on my reviews Kimberly. I am getting excited about all the upcoming fun. I think The Last Bookshop in London is on a lot of shelves this week. I hope we all enjoy it.
vidya
I caught up on Mandalorian too! but behind on reviews and visiting blogs as well.. so need to catch up this week
Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
So many people have been talking about The Mandalorian. Sounds like I need to watch! 🙂
Sarah
I don’t know how you balance life and reading. Already over 200 books and 2 months left in the year still, that is awesome! I’m struggling to get to 50 books read this year.
Sophia Rose
I guess it’s a Sophia thing. I wasn’t the best patient for shots either at her age. 😉 Sounded like a fun Halloween. Way to go getting your two challenges finished early.
Have a good week, Kimberly!
Mary Kirkland
I remember having to take my daughter to get shots, not fun. We bribed her with going out to eat or the petting zoo afterwards when she got older and that always helped. lol
vvb
Yes, that anxious vibe. Hope things go well next week.
Sophie
You amaze me with the number of books you’ve read Kimberly!!! And I will cross all my fingers and toes for your election! Have a good week and stay safe. xoxo
sherry fundin
yes, i am anxious about this week and have everything crossed. congrats on your goodreads and i too am behind on reviews. just part of the times i think
Hannah
Whoa, congrats on surpassing that Goodreads goal! I’m still twenty books behind…haha. Hope you have a great (and safe!) week as well!
Mary @KitNKabookle
Ah yes, this week. 😉 Congrats on your Goodreads challenge, and have a great week!
Yvonne
Bat Girl and Batman must have looked adorable.
Yes, definitely anxious about the upcoming week.
Have a good week!
Laura @ Library of Clean Reads
Still amazed by how much you read/listen! I love the look of The Last Bookshop in London.
bookwormjillk
Yes, super anxious!
Jan @ Notes from a Readerholic
Yes, I’m anxious about the coming week (or weeks). I hope it goes well. I’m glad your daughter and the Royals got their flu shots. And I remember my kids’ reactions to the flu shots. Oh, my!
I hope the next week is a good week for you, Kimberly.
A Voracious Reader
Hubby and I are going in a minute to get our flu shot. We’ll watch The Mandalorian today since we’ve been busy. I can’t wait! For The Mandalorian, not so much the flu shot lol I hope you have a great week, Kim!
Kimberly
Hahaha. Hopefully you got the shots and enjoyed the first episode 🙂
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Glad to hear everything went well this week. Hope this week will be just as calm.
Nice new reads too! All totally new to me ones. Hope you enjoy each and every one of them!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Kimberly
Thanks Jessica 🙂
Samantha
I have almost hit my goodreads goal of 100 books and I am psyched! I’m thinking I might just switch from coffee to sedatives this week!
Kimberly
Ha… well I will be taking anti-anxiety meds to be sure.
Ruby Jo
Next week is going to be brutal for everyone. Hopefully this will all end soon and we can go back to our regular lives. I am behind on everything, reading, posting, commenting. I am at least caught up on my shows, so that’s good. Decaf is something I wish I could use, but I need my daily fix, otherwise I am not human at all. Happy reading and have an awesome week!!
Kimberly
Yes, I won’t drink decaf. I have cut back to only 2-3 cups of the good stuff a day.
Lola
Neat that you got so much books read/ listened this month and are doing well with your challenges. I see you got Damned Souls and a Sangria! I really enjoyed that series and thought it was a good ending to the series. i hope you’ll enjoy it. Have a great week!
Kimberly
Glad to hear that Lola. I cannot wait to listen!
Natalie @Natflix&Books
I’m terrified of this week. I wish I could watch it from under the covers.
Kimberly
I think many of us feel that way.
Michelle@BecauseReading
My daughter is 12 and we still have a hard time with shots. She cries and protests, I have to threaten her to get her to stop so she can get the shot. Julia feels Sophias pain. lol
This will be the first year ever, that I am very nervous about an election.
Have a great week, Kim! Happy Reading!
Kimberly
Aww, my husband was a terror with them as a child. Agreed, too much is on the line and I truly feel like we are divided more than ever.
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
I hope the Royals were able to enjoy their Halloween.
I’m anxious about this week and I don’t even live in the US
Wishing you a great reading week
Kimberly
Thank you, they did and I was pleased by everyone’s efforts to social distance and let kids be kids.
sjhigbee
Aw… poor Princess! Eliza had a nasal spray for her flu vaccination – much better for the littlies! Huge congratulations on such an impressive number of books read and listened to during October:)). I hope the coming week is a good one, Kimberly.
Kimberly
Yes, those were easier, but now they get the shots. Although putting nasal spray up her nose isn’t any better..lol
Angela
I feel like this election season has been so long, and now all of a sudden Election Day is just two days away! It’s crazy!
Kimberly
Yes, and I hope it doesn’t drag on for months.
Vi @Inkvotary
Here in Germany, there is no TV channel that does not air special documentaries about the current US president, the election and the former Vice president. We will even have a special coverage of the election day *sigh* Glad you could read so many books or listen to them. Stay safe and well and happy reading!
Kimberly
This is an election that will impact everyone.
Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms
I think most of the world is holding its breath for next week…
My family and I are still in quarantine / isolation, so we are just hanging out here, doing our thing. Today I’m devoting myself to vacuuming and ironing (thank goodness for audiobooks!!), and I’m going to go back the Rock Chick wormhole, as I need comfort as much as possible, and those books are it for me 🙂
Have a wonderful Sunday, Kim. Stay safe and healthy 🙂 *hugs3
Kimberly
I am praying. Thankfully work, family and the Royals will keep me busy..that and audiobooks. I tell myself I won’t glue myself to the TV on Tuesday, because we probably won’t have answers but I am probably fooling myself.
Heather
I’m behind too, commenting, writing posts, blog visiting, housework!
Have a good week and there is no harm in the occasional decaf!
Kimberly
It is good to know I am keeping good company and reminds me to go easy on myself.
Flora
I’ve been drinking decaf for months now ?
Kimberly
LOL. I have not, but I did reduce my intake from 6 cups a day to 2.
Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer
Happy Belated Halloween!
Kimberly
Same to you Billy!
Iza
The flu shots are important, this year especially. I’m sorry little Sophia didn’t like it :/
29 books ! Oh my ! Your “Last bookshop in London” looks interesting. I’ve borrowed a book at the library, “The book charmer” that I know absolutely nothing about, but the cover and the title were very engaging !
Have a great week – and yes, maybe decaf is a good option. Stay safe 🙂
Kimberly
It was hard but necessary. As she gets older, hopefully it will be easier.
Maureen @ Maureen’s Books
Aah Batgirl and Batman.. so cute!
You’ve got some great reading done I see.
Have a great week and happy reading.
Kimberly
Thanks, Maureen.
Laura Thomas
I’ve just went through two hurricanes in a month so yes, I’m anxious. LOL It sure has been a strange, long year:) I’m looking forward to the holidays and time with family.
Kimberly
Yes… we have a lot to look forward to in the next few months 🙂
Jen at Introverted Reader
Poor Sophia. I had to get a second shot for some travel (remember the days when we could travel?) and I was at the health department with a tiny little girl getting some shots. That was *epic* crying. I don’t have kids so I’ve never seen anything like it. I seem to remember asking how many they gave her when it was my turn and they hadn’t even managed to give her one. She was so upset they had to send her home.
I’m excited to start the new season of The Mandalorian!
I don’t know whether to be excited that the election is almost over or to be scared. I just know that I’m really stressed about it. I keep reading that we probably won’t know the results that night. I won’t sleep a wink.
Enjoy your week!
Kimberly
Yikes, thankfully, she got it done. I have a feeing it will be a long week.
Rachel
Oh shots for the kids are the worst! You feel so bad, but it’s for their own good. But still…
Yeah, I’m anxious about what happens too. I hope we don’t have a civil war or anything. I don’t remember things ever being so contentious in this country in the past. I just have to stop watching the news. It stresses me out too much.
Kimberly
Yep, my heart races just thinking about it and seeing comments on both sides gives me anxiety.
Laurel-Rain Snow
Wow, you had a great month! Enjoy November…once we get past the anxiety this upcoming week brings.
Thanks for sharing, and stay safe and well.
Kimberly
We’ve got Royal Clayton’s birthday and Thanksgiving.
Greg
Happy Halloween! I am definitely nervous for this week. 🙂 Hoping for the best! And I really need to get Disney Plus, I keep hearing how good The Mandalorian is.
Take care and be well this week!
Kimberly
Yes, praying hard. If you have Verizon phone, you can get the first year for free.
