In case you missed it, our daughter’s test came back negative. She is feeling better. The Royals got a kitten named Rosie and are loving their new friend. The FraterfestRAT is in full swing, my knee continues to improve and working from my recliner has reduced the swelling. Funny how my foot swells if I walk around or do too much. It’s almost as if it is warning me to get off it. ? It’s cold, looks like fall is settling in. Be kind, be safe and …. Stay Caffeinated.

Sounds like things are looking up with you and your family. I hope your knee continues to feel better daily. I am looking forward to your reviews next week, I have a couple of those books on my list coming up as well. Have a great week Kimberly.

  2. vidya

glad you and your daughter are doing good..
most of the books in this week’s list are new to me, except for two – the 12 dates of christmas as well as the robyn carr novel..

  3. Katherine

Funny how the swelling works like that! Hope you are listening to it. So glad your daughter’s test was negative. And how exciting for the Royals. There is nothing cuter then a kitten! Have a great week and stay off that foot!

  4. sjhigbee

So glad to hear your daughter’s test is negative – and that your knee is improving. I hope the coming week’s trajectory continues upward, Kimberly:). Have a great one full of good books!

  5. Anne- Books of My Heart

I’m glad things are coming along well but I hope your Knee improves more. It’s still nice here but I see it has snowed in MN where I used to live. I’ll stick with the 75-80 temps we will have this week to continue with my fall garden work. Enjoy those new reads!

  6. Sophia Rose

What a relief about your daughter’s test and fun about the new kitten. Frustrating about not being as mobile right now, but hopefully it will continue healing for you. The new Alice Hoffman looks good.

    Have a great week, Kimberly!

  7. Lover of Romance

Glad to hear about your daughter. I am loving the cooler weather, its so nice. Not ready for winter, but fall weather is pure perfection. I wish it lasted all year. 🙂

    Happy Sunday!

  8. Nise' (Under the Boardwalk)

Hope your daughter is feeling better and that you are up and walking on the knee without any swelling soon! Hard to believe we are halfway through October. Lighthouse on the Lake looks good.

  9. Mary Kirkland

I’m looking forward to it getting cooler here. It’s still 90. Stay off that knee. I have osteoarthritis in my knees and hips so I get to hurting and have to stay off it at times too.

    Sounds like a good week!
I’m glad your daughter’s test was negative. I saw a picture of the Royal’s new kitty on Instagram and it’s adorable!
Good news on the knee! Fingers crossed it keeps heading in that direction for you.

  12. Lola

That’s great news that your daughter’s test came back negative and that she’s feeling better. How cute that the royals got a kitten. And I hope your knee continues to improve.

  13. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Really pleased to hear your daughter’s test was negative, that your knee is improving and that your family have a new kitty to enjoy! I’m afraid there has been a positive text in my year group at school, so all staff and pupils are now self-isolating – One silver lining is that my cat is very happy to have me home all day! ? Take care and happy reading! ???

  15. Erin Beard

So relieved about your daughter’s test. I saw that you commented back about it last week but never had the chance to update my reply. Great news!

Magic Dark and Strange looks awesome!

  16. Stormi Johnson

Glad to hear your daughter tested negative. Hope your knee gets better soon but at least you can recline and work! 🙂 I think Fall is finally settled in here too boohoo…lol.

Have a great week and happy reading,

Yay for a negative test, a kitten, and a healing knee! Funny how our bodies “yell” at us, right? lol Woke up to 39º outside this morning. It’s chilly in the house! Should I turn on the heat? Hmmmm… I hope you have a great week, Kim!

  18. Mareli @ Elza Reads

Aaaaah Magic Lessons! I can’t wait to read it!

I’m thoroughly enjoying the Fraterfest Read-a-thon. So glad we joined.

Hope you will have a good week and good luck with your readathon!

I’m so glad your daughter wasn’t positive and you’re doing better! I wish it would get a bit colder here… we still hit 100 this last week and this week it’s still all 90s. That’s still 10 degrees warmer than we normally are. I hope this week continues to be an improvement!

  20. Maureen @ Maureen’s Books

I’m glad to read your daughters COVID test came back negative. That must have been a big relieve.
I’m loving the fall vibes! It feels so cozy and I’m loving it!
Have a great week and happy reading.

  21. Laurel-Rain Snow

I am glad your daughter’s test was negative!

Your books look so good…I also got Return to Virgin River this week. A very popular book that I can’t wait to read.

Enjoy your week, and I hope your knee gets better soon. Stay safe and well!

  22. Jackie

It looks like you have been a busy bee this week regardless of your knee. I wish you wellness and recovery.

  23. Greg

Oh Kimba I’m so glad your daughter’s test came back negative. Yay!! Glad she’s doing better. And a new kitty? That’s always fun. 🙂

The Kelly Powell book looks fun, I have to read her first one yet. Be well this week!

      • Greg

I don’t think so? Songs from the Deep is her first one (I think) and I think it’s separate from Dark & Strange. I’ve been meaning to read it for forever…
