In case you missed it, our daughter’s test came back negative. She is feeling better. The Royals got a kitten named Rosie and are loving their new friend. The FraterfestRAT is in full swing, my knee continues to improve and working from my recliner has reduced the swelling. Funny how my foot swells if I walk around or do too much. It’s almost as if it is warning me to get off it. ? It’s cold, looks like fall is settling in. Be kind, be safe and …. Stay Caffeinated.

Great news about the negative test. I had to get tested myself last week and it was negative. Quite the relief!
Tyler H. Jolley
Glad everyone is on the mend in your world! Cold is settling in here too. The nicer days are getting to be fewer and fewer. Be well!
Angela (Angel's Guilty Pleasures)

Yay to the negative test for your daughter! That’s fantastic news! It’s also gotten cold here but I don’t mind it as long as it’s sunny. 🙂
Sounds like things are looking up with you and your family. I hope your knee continues to feel better daily. I am looking forward to your reviews next week, I have a couple of those books on my list coming up as well. Have a great week Kimberly.
glad you and your daughter are doing good..
most of the books in this week’s list are new to me, except for two – the 12 dates of christmas as well as the robyn carr novel..
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
Yay for your daughter’s negative COVID test, and for your knee doing better! And congratulations on the Royals’ new kitten. I’ll bet it’s adorable! I miss having a cat. Take care, and keep resting that leg!
Funny how the swelling works like that! Hope you are listening to it. So glad your daughter’s test was negative. And how exciting for the Royals. There is nothing cuter then a kitten! Have a great week and stay off that foot!
Glad to hear her test was negative! That must be such a relief to you all!
So glad to hear your daughter’s test is negative – and that your knee is improving. I hope the coming week’s trajectory continues upward, Kimberly:). Have a great one full of good books!
Laura @ Library of Clean Reads
Seems this was a good week for you all around. A new kitty must be exciting for everyone but especially the kids. I like the look of Lighthouse on the Lake. Enjoy your new books and audiobooks.
Anne- Books of My Heart
I’m glad things are coming along well but I hope your Knee improves more. It’s still nice here but I see it has snowed in MN where I used to live. I’ll stick with the 75-80 temps we will have this week to continue with my fall garden work. Enjoy those new reads!
What a relief about your daughter’s test and fun about the new kitten. Frustrating about not being as mobile right now, but hopefully it will continue healing for you. The new Alice Hoffman looks good.
Have a great week, Kimberly!
Happy to hear about your daughter’s test! A new kitten is so much fun. I just love a purring kitten! Glad to hear your knee is getting better. 🙂
I’ll have to check out your review for the Ruth Ware mystery.
Lover of Romance
Glad to hear about your daughter. I am loving the cooler weather, its so nice. Not ready for winter, but fall weather is pure perfection. I wish it lasted all year. 🙂
Nise' (Under the Boardwalk)
Hope your daughter is feeling better and that you are up and walking on the knee without any swelling soon! Hard to believe we are halfway through October. Lighthouse on the Lake looks good.
I’m looking forward to it getting cooler here. It’s still 90. Stay off that knee. I have osteoarthritis in my knees and hips so I get to hurting and have to stay off it at times too.
I’m looking forward to reading a couple Christmas novels this year! Stay safe and hope you’ll feel better soon!
Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books
Sounds like a good week!

Glad the test was negative! And that your knee is feeling better (and communicating with you). We got a cold snap here, but supposedly it’s going back up into the 60s this week, so who knows what season it is. Take care and have a great week!
Happy to hear about your daughter and yay for kitties. Happy reading!
I’m glad your daughter’s test was negative. I’m sure that is a huge relief! Have a great week and keep resting!

I am jealous of your cold weather. We have chilly but it’s damp cold. I just want fall chilly!
If the universe wants you off your knee you stay off that knee! 🙂

Really pleased to hear your daughter’s test was negative, that your knee is improving and that your family have a new kitty to enjoy! I’m afraid there has been a positive text in my year group at school, so all staff and pupils are now self-isolating – One silver lining is that my cat is very happy to have me home all day! ? Take care and happy reading! ???
So relieved about your daughter’s test. I saw that you commented back about it last week but never had the chance to update my reply. Great news!
Magic Dark and Strange looks awesome!
Glad to hear your daughter tested negative. Hope your knee gets better soon but at least you can recline and work! 🙂 I think Fall is finally settled in here too boohoo…lol.
Have a great week and happy reading,
A Voracious Reader
Yay for a negative test, a kitten, and a healing knee! Funny how our bodies “yell” at us, right? lol Woke up to 39º outside this morning. It’s chilly in the house! Should I turn on the heat? Hmmmm… I hope you have a great week, Kim!
Mareli @ Elza Reads
Aaaaah Magic Lessons! I can’t wait to read it!
I’m thoroughly enjoying the Fraterfest Read-a-thon. So glad we joined.
Hope you will have a good week and good luck with your readathon!
I’m glad your daughter is okay. It’s such a stressing time, waiting for the results to arrive. The Royals got a kitten? That’s so cute!
Hope your knee keeps improving.
Dianthaa @ Dianthaa Dabbles
So glad your daughter is ok!
I’m really curious about The Hollow Place by T. Kingfisher myself, I keep meaning to read some of her stuff but haven’t gotten round to it yet.
Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms
I’m happy your knee keep improving, Kim 🙂 And yeah, your foot is apparently on your knee’s team here 😉
I love that the Royals got a kitten. So cute.
Have a wonderful week ahead, happy reading, and stay safe and healthy, too <3
Glad to hear your daughter is feeling better!!
Tressa @ Wishful Endings
I’m so glad your daughter wasn’t positive and you’re doing better! I wish it would get a bit colder here… we still hit 100 this last week and this week it’s still all 90s. That’s still 10 degrees warmer than we normally are. I hope this week continues to be an improvement!
I’m so glad to hear your daughter is feeling better and so is your knee. Hope you have a great week!
Maureen @ Maureen’s Books

The cover of Magic Dark and Strange is beautiful!
Enjoy your week!
I am glad your daughter’s test was negative!
Your books look so good…I also got Return to Virgin River this week. A very popular book that I can’t wait to read.
Enjoy your week, and I hope your knee gets better soon. Stay safe and well!
It looks like you have been a busy bee this week regardless of your knee. I wish you wellness and recovery.
Oh Kimba I’m so glad your daughter’s test came back negative. Yay!! Glad she’s doing better. And a new kitty? That’s always fun. 🙂
The Kelly Powell book looks fun, I have to read her first one yet. Be well this week!
Wait is Powell’s book part of a series?
I don’t think so? Songs from the Deep is her first one (I think) and I think it’s separate from Dark & Strange. I’ve been meaning to read it for forever…
