During the month of June, I managed 21 books/audios. I am at 125/200 for my Goodreads goal and 71/100 for the Audiobook challenge. I changed up something on my blog. Did you notice? You can’t see it on your mobile device. The Royals are here for the weekend and we’ve been grilling, watching Hamilton on Disney+ and enjoyed some small fireworks and the fire pit. There may have been S’mores. Stay Caffeinated.

I noticed the difference with the banner and the logo! I love that it includes earphones because of how much you love audiobooks now as well. I also really am curious about mexican gothic so I hope you enjoy it.
S. J. Pajonas
Love the bigger logo! That’s fun!! We enjoyed Hamilton too, and there was a distinct lack of s’mores here. Boo!
I only had 1/2 one and thought I’d go back later for the second half, but the locust swarmed in and there was nothing left but crumbs and an empty marshmallow bag!
Tyler H. Jolley
I love the headphones! They’re a great addition to your logo, Kimba! Glad you guys had a great forth. It’s been weird around here but we’re making the best of it.
LOL, yes, I thought it was fitting. Weird is right..stay safe!
I am really looking forward to Mexican Gothic! I loved Gods of Jade and Shadow. 🙂
Lindsi @ Do You Dog-ear? ?
Me too. It will be my next listen! I am currently listening to the sequel to Bird Box. Oh lord!
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
I hope you enjoyed your celebration with the Royals
Wishing you a great reading week
Thank you. We had a good time, but I ended up with a sinus infection, which is no doubt allergy driven. I hope you had a good weekend!
Lover of Romance
Yay I am so happy to see the change, I love it. The headphones are such a nice touch. Hope you had a wonderful time on the 4th celebrating with your family!!
Thank you, Bonnie. I am happy with them.
Great book stats so far! I’ve read 99 of 170. 12 books ahead. I’m glad you were able to see some family otherwise known as the Royals. Hope you have a good rest of the week!
They live here half the week, but yes we had a fun time. My hubby grilled bacon-wrapped sirloin and we had corn on the cob. It was nice to forget the shitstorm that is 2020 for a weekend.
Smores sound good. I do like the headphones.
Tanya @ Rantings of a Reading Addict
I love the headphones in the new logo! They look great! I’ve always tried to figure out how you got that image to sit there in that position! LOL
Magic!! LOL, no it is a custom theme that drops the image there.
Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
I’m glad you are able to enjoy being with your family this weekend.
It was nice to unplug and enjoy. They all live here but everyone was off from work which made it nice.
I’ve had my eyes on Mexican Gothic for awhile now. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts! I hope you have a great week!
I am excited to listen to it Lori. Hope you get it soon 🙂
I like the earphones with the books. Is that what is new?
Great job on 21 books for the month and 71 audios. I am at 49 of 75 audios so I am in good shape there.
Enjoy your time with the royals and happy reading!
Yes Martha, you got it. It’s a small change but fits. Excited to hear you are on target for your goals!
Aj @ Read All The Things!
Congrats on finishing 21 books, and have tons of fun with the Royals. Someday I will see Hamilton. Have a great week!
Thanks Aj. Have a great week!
I’m always so envious of how much reading/listening you accomplish each week!
It has to be so great having the royals over and being able to celebrate with the family! You’re creating those memories that they’ll always hold dear.
Thanks Ethan. We had a good time. I have a head cold now though which is making me mizzy. Hope you had a wonderful 4th.
Headphones? I know I should pay better attention. 😉
Smores!!! Love those. Now, I want to do some up.
Looking good on your challenges.
Have a great week, Kimberly!
Yes..you got it. I ate 1/2 of a smore..it was worth it!
Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer
June wasn’t a good month for me. Hopefully, I’ll have more time to read in July.
I hope July rocks for Billy!
Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books
Is it the headphones on the logo? I’m pretty sure it was just books before. (PS I like it!)
Glad you’ve had a good weekend with your family. You’re absolutely bossing the reading goal so far this year!
Yes… you nailed it Nicci. It was a small tweak but makes sense since I listen so as much as I read.
I hope you enjoy (or have enjoyed) Mexican Gothic as much as I did.
I am hoping to listen later this week!
Anne - Books of My Heart
We had s’mores too! with gluten free crackers which I think are the best I’ve ever tasted and dark chocolate bars. Congrats on your June reading. We all do what we can right now. Enjoy your week!
Ooo yes, dark chocolate would be nice.
Thanks for hosting, have a great week!
You too my friend!
Hope you had a lovely holiday with the Royals. We haven’t watched Hamilton yet but I’m really looking forward to it. Hope you have a great week.
I am on my second watch and love it!
Yay for smores!! Love the headphones with your logo!
Thanks Samantha. I figured it was time 🙂
S’mores, yum! We watched Hamilton as well and really enjoyed it! Congratulations on your progress toward your goals! Enjoy your week!
I am watching it again now. So good. Of course I had to request the book .
Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
Love the new little set of headphones on your header—very appropriate for your blog. 🙂
Heard good things about Mexican Gothic. Enjoy. Happy s’mores 😉
Me too, I am looking forward to listening.
Sounds like you had a lovely, chilled holiday and wow 21 books/audiobooks, that is the same amount I’ve read the WHOLE year, so far!! And yes, I’ve spotted the headphones you’ve added. Take care and happy reading! ?
Yay glad you spotted them. It was a chill weekend, well as chill as it can be with over an sugared five and three year old grandchildren!
You had a great month for reading in June! Glad you are enjoying the holiday weekend. Hope you have a great week!
Thanks Yvonne. Have a fun week!
Tanya @ Girl Plus Books
Twenty-one reads in June is amazing! Sounds like a wonderful weekend… especially those s’mores. 🙂
Yes, I had a half of one and it was worth the calories!
You’re doing great with your reading/ listening! I like the new addition of the headphones on your logo. Have a great week!
Thanks Lola. Have a fantastic week!
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Ooh nice! I like the new tweaks! Glad you had a nice holiday too! Smores sound delightful. I can’t remember the last time I got to have one of those! I’m usually dog-sitting when my parents go camping.
Nice new reads too! Some new to me ones here. I hope you enjoy them all!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Thanks Jessica. Hope your week ahead is a good one!
Mareli @ Elza Reads
Goodness gracious Kimberly! You are doing wonderful with your Reading Challenge. I’m also just over halfway, but my challenge is only 54 books, so that doesn’t really add up to much.
Hope you will have a wonderful week ahead!
It’s the enjoyment not the quantity that truly count.
That sounds like a lovely 4th celebration. We were lowkey too. I’m excited for Mexican Gothic. Happy reading!
Me too I will listen later this week.
Is it the headphones? I’m behind on my reading. First time that’s happened. Have a lovely time with your family, Kimberly:)
Nailed it Laura. It was subtle but fits.
Hope you had a great fourth. I love the holiday but not a fan of the fireworks. I was up till midnight with my fur baby who was shaking so bad. Usually it’s not that bad but I think everyone bought out all the fireworks and we live in the country so no shut off time. 🙁
Have a great week and happy reading!!!
Awe, yes they aren’t fans. We only did them on Friday and Sat night from 8:30 and were cleaned up and done before 10. We didn’t do them last year but the Royals are at the age where they love them. I don’t like the super load boom ones and don’t appreciate them being set off except for the two days.
Laura @ Library of Clean Reads
We’re half-way through the year so it’s a good idea to check how our reading is coming along. Thanks for the reminder. You seem to be doing great! Enjoy your new books, I’ve been seeing Mexican Gothic all over the place.
I am looking forward to listening to it. Hope your week is amazing!
I haven’t been over here as much as I should, and so sorry, but the headphones by the books may be different??(lol) Yay to grilling and fireworks, but I have to admit I’m no fan of grilling. I declare every person I know who cooks on a grill almost burns it all to a crisp, then they throw on a ton of barbecue sauce!(lol) How come no one grills like Bobby Flay? Happy weekend and hugs, RO
My husband isn’t Bobby Flay but he grills a mean steak. We had bacon wrapped filets. So good. I made twice baked potatoes, corn on the cob and steamed broccoli. My daughter and the Royals made a lovely cake for dessert.
Stacy Renee @ LazyDayLit
I love the new change! I think it reflects your reading preferences perfectly!
Have a great week, Kimba! 🙂
Thanks Stacy, it was a small tweak but that was exactly what I was going for.
Sounds like a wonderful weekend – I hope the weather behaves! And your reading stats as ever, are truly impressive, Kimberly:)). Have a lovely week.
The weather was hot but delightful. Hope your week is picture perfect!
SJ @ Airin' my dirty laundry
Sounds like a fun weekend. Congrats on those numbers for June. You were doing some reading and listening. 🙂 Hope you have a great week!
Thank you. I hope you have a great week!
Hamilton, I’m so excited to watch it finally!
Have a good week!
It was so goooood. I hope to watch it again today.
You changed your logo – like it! Glad you had a happy 4th of July. It is unbelievable that we are already at the start of the second half of 2020. Stay safe and well and happy listening!
Thanks Vi it was subtle but since I review 50% audiobooks I thought it was a nice addition.
Your stack of book on the right with the headphones, right? Hope you and the Royals had an excellent 4th of July! 🙂
Yes Rachel. Hope you had a lovely weekend!
Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms
I can’t see what you changed 😮 I guess I’m not very observant.
I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend with the royals. The firepit and s’mores sounds very nice.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.
I added headphones. They are leaning against the books holding my coffee.
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
You added headphones to your logo — did I get it right? 🙂
Hamilton and s’mores — I’m envious! Seriously, though I hope you loved every minute of them.
And you’re doing great on your challenges! I’m letting myself off the hook for some of mine, due to the pandemic (or rather, the emotional effects of it.) But maybe I can catch up, at least on some challenges.
LOL, yes! Since I listen to at least 50% of my reviews I figured I needed to add them.
A few people mentioned Hamilton today.
It was wonderful, and now I want to read books set in the period.
Hamilton and S’mores sounds perfect. I am planning to watch it today, I am all excited for it. I hope you are staying safe, pal.
You are in for a treat! Enjoy.
Enjoy your week, with great looking books ahead. I like your new book stack on the header, with the nod to audiobooks.
I am also looking forward to reading The Girl from Widow Hills. The Lost and Found Bookshop is one I need to add to my shelves, too.
Have a great week, and stay safe.
Both were good…enjoy Laurel
Maureen @ Maureen’s Books
Happy 4th of July Kimberly! I hope you had a fun day.
I’ll have to check your blog on my laptop tonight 😉
Stay safe and happy reading.
LOL. Thanks Maureen. Hope the week ahead is a good one!
Enjoy the Royals and hope you have an awesome 4th! Congrats on your goals so far!!!
Thanks Greg. Hope you had a nice 4th.
