March seemed months long, but I only managed 13 books/audiobook and had 1 DNF at 25%.
The littlest Royal; Clayton is potty training. He mastered #2 almost 6 months ago, but struggles with number one. Yesterday he stayed dry all day and I let him pick out underwear from Amazon. He wanted Batman. So we go on, and I pull up a six pack with an image. I ask him if he wants this one. He says “No, that one,” and points at one of the individual images of the six-pack. I giggled and said, “What if Nonna buys you all of them?” (meaning all 6 pairs) He jumps up and down dancing and shouts, “All of them?” I nod, and he takes off running through the house telling anyone who will listen he is getting all of the Batman! It’s the little things in life. ?
Elbow hugs. Stay Caffeinated.

I love that Clayton was so delighted with getting them all π Such an adorable situation and I hope the potty training endeavours continue to go well.
Tyler H. Jolley
Love the potty training story. Are you both home or is your husband still reporting to work? I’m home and it’s kinda strange, but I think it’s preparing me for retirement. Ha ha.
S. J. Pajonas
Aw. What a sweet boy. I remember potty training both of my kids. I’m glad that’s far behind me now until I’m a grandparents one day. π Hope you’re doing well!
Carla
I am looking forward to seeing what you think of The Book of Lost Friends. It is on my TBR, but I have to wait for it at the library. Also thanks for the link the Can you Read a Series in a Month. I have Finish the Series as a challenge, so maybe I will tackle on of them in May. Hope you are doing well and keeping safe, Kimberly.
Maureen @ Maureen's Books
Awww that’s so cute. And what a smart idea to reward him with ‘big boy’ underwear. Our little girl has been trying to sit on her dolls potty. So I bought her a ‘real’ one. But she doesn’t seem to be to interested in it yet. But since she is only 1.5, she’s got time! π
It definitely are the little things that I seem to enjoy the most too at the moment.
I’m excited about ‘Issued’. It sounds so good!
Have a great week Kimberly! Happy reading.
bookworm
aww too cute about the potty training. Glad you are well. 13 books is a good number. I haven’t been able to read much lately.
Ethan
I think we all get a pass on not being a productive in March.
Yay to Clayton though! Such a huge step forward!

I recall the joys my lil ones (now teens) had over getting these little things in life. Now those little things have shifted, but I am glad there are still other little things that make them scream for joy!!
sherry fundin
i have been reading a bunch of books from my tbr too. i’m not really in the mood for reviewing, but am doing it anyway, though i am trying to limit the review books. good thing i blogged ahead
vvb
Yay for the little things in life – like Batman undies π
Christy
Just swinging through to get your Amazon link & wanted to say … you’re doing marvelous, sweetie! π Now to go buy books lol
Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library
Oh that last part of potty training is definitely difficult! I don’t miss it though it is so much easier if you have a willing kid. Both of mine were but i had friends whose kids were perfectly happy in diapers and that was a nightmare! So cute about his excitement over the underwear! I miss that age sometimes! If we ever leave the house again I had good luck with having my son wear underwear and then putting a pullup over it until I was really confident he was fully trained. He still felt like he was wearing underwear so he was good about remembering to go to the bathroom but if he got distracted or forget there wasn’t an embarrassing accident and his clothes weren’t ruined. Though probably by the time we’re out of quarantine Clayton will be a potty trained pro! Have a great week!
Angela (Angel's Guilty Pleasures)
It’s so adorable when kids get excited. I’m glad some of us can find joy in the little things. Have a good week and stay healthy.
Sophia Rose
That’s cute! Enjoy all those freebies and your TBR pile for a little while. π
Kristin (Book Sniffers Anonymous)
I’m glad that someone is enjoying life at the moment. I feel like we all need to find the positive in small things. Even if it’s that you’re about to get a cool pair of Batman underwear. I ordered deodorant the other day (because there’s no way I’m going to Walmart at this crazy time) and got way too excited that they’d shipped my order and it would be here this coming week. This is what life has come to, being excited about underwear and deodorant shipments. LoL Stay safe!

It IS the little things. It always is, but sometimes we forget. Speaking of little things, this week has been the annual Blogo-Birthday at Reading Reality and ALL THE GIVEAWAYS are still open!
sjhigbee
Ah… it’s such hard work, but these are the moments that make it worthwhile. I’m feeling bereft as I haven’t seen my daughter or the grandchildren for over a fortnight and I’ve no idea when as we are all social distancing. Hope you are keeping well and have a peaceful, healthy week, Kimberly.
Sophie
Elbow hug to you too Kimberly! And as you said: it’s the little things… You’ll maybe be happy to know that I have already reached my Stenographer goal in your Audiobook Challenge 2020! I did my quarter update and surprise surprise! So I changed my goal to binge listener LOL. Stay safe!
Mary Kirkland
Aww that’s sweet.
Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra
Awww, that’s so cute. It really is all about the little things in life these days. Hope you and your family continue to stay safe!
Stephanie
I love the Batman undies story, so cute. It is a good reminder that we need to appreciate the little things. Hope you are well.

oh man! I love your Clayton story! That’s what life is about, right there. You are reading some good books. I think I am escaping more into books but having more trouble finding ones I can fit to the current moods.
Have a wonderful week! Be kind and take care of yourself!
Angela
Aww, hooray for Clayton! It definitely is all about the little things these days.
Yvonne
Seems like many of us had a hard time reading in March for obvious reasons. I’ve seen many DNFs around the blogs. I’ve been fortunate and not had any, but it’s been a struggle to concentrate on reading.
Take care and stay safe!
Lola
It’s good you still got some books read/ listened even though it was less than previous months. How fun to hear how he reacted to getting underwear. It’s definitely those little things that can make a day at times. Have a good week!
Samantha
How cute that he was so excited about undies!! Ah to be young again!
Amy
March honestly felt like it was an entire decade and I’m so glad it’s April now. I don’t think I’ve ever been happy about it being April before but 2020 has been a very odd year!
Aww, Clayton obviously loves Batman! It’s nice to have small moments of joy like that.
Happy reading!
Stormi Johnson
Especially right now it’s those little things that can be so great!! π Hope everyone is safe and healthy! Elbow hugs!
Have a good week and happy reading,
Stormi
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Heehee! Definitely gotta love that age when the simplest of things makes them soooo happy! I miss that age! Lol.
Yay for not adding to the TBR pile! My haul (of physical books) was half keeper, half TBR so I didn’t feel too bad about adding two ebooks! Especially when one was free! Lol! Hope you enjoy your reads for this week!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!

I still need my coffee but it sounds like you had a relatively succcesful week. It is indeed the little things!
Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer
I’m trying to say caffeinated. I’ve already had one cup early this morning.
Have a good week full of reading!
A Voracious Reader
March does seem like it was a million days, but it’s been going fast for me. I’m sure April will, too. Hubby seems determined to kill me by projects. lol But at least they’re finally getting done. Clayton is hilarious! We haven’t seen the grandkiddos since this crap started and it sucks. *sigh* But we’ll get through this. I hope you have a Batmantastic week!
Deb Nance
Wonderful story. It’s the little things. It sure is.
Vi @Inkvotary
Sounds like your grandson is enjoying Batman *smile* Hopefully he will enjoy wearing them when you get them.
Natalie @Natflix&Books
It’s nice you still get to be with the royals! I’ve been adding new books with abandon. I should just read my TBR. Oh, well. Stay safe and happy reading!
Tanya @ Girl Plus Books
Sounds like we could all take a lesson from little Clayton. π My reading has slowed down, too, despite being home all the time. Concentration is the issue, I think. But I’m still enjoying what I do read so that’s the main thing. Hope you have a good week, Kimberly. Stay well.
Trish
Aw littlest Royal is so cute, isn’t it the little things that really cheer up these days. Stay safe Kim.
Sam@wlabb
I am very impressed that the prince got #2 first. That is a stumbling block for many, other than nighttime accidents. Glad to hear it is going well.
Tressa @ Wishful Endings
That brings back memories… love it! I’m so happy I never have to potty train again, but I do miss the times when the kids were younger and the little things were so exciting. Elbow hugs back! π
Gayathri
Clayton sounds adorable. It is definitely the little things. I hope you are all safe.
Rachel
Kids have a way of making us smile and laugh even in these times! So cute! Stay safe and well, Kimberly! π

What a cute story about Clayton and the Batman underwear.

Aaaaw, how cute of Clayton. Their enthusiasm at that age is adorable.
Impressive that you didn’t get any books, wow!!
Stay safe, and happy reading!

What a wonderful story about Clayton and it made me smile, thanks ?

That’s a charming story about Clayton. Aren’t they fun at that age? Have a great week and stay caffeinated — and safe.
