What a week. Tuesday afternoon my fever still hadn’t broken, and it still felt like I had swallowed a cup of glass shards. This can’t be right I thought. I’ve been on meds since Friday and even had an extra shot in the arse. Nope, not right at all. The doc changed my meds and I am improving. I spent my week working, sleeping and devouring books & audios.
I am loving the Witcher audiobooks, enjoy Supernatural, Evil, and the Magicians on the television. I want to try the new series Troop Zero on Prime.
A snow storm, followed by ice and high winds kept us indoors this weekend. I have reviews to write clear into March but after work related stuff I am wiped out. Lord help me. Then Facebook reminds me all my Januaries are the same.?I am ready for Spring. I hope you are faring well! Stay Caffeinated.

I’ve been loving your updates as you’ve gone through The Witcher audiobooks. I think I’ll wait till about the second season before I jump into the books, plus I’m debating on whether I should listen to them or read the physical books.

Ugh. So sorry to hear that you were under the weather for so long EVEN on meds! That’s criminal! I often have a hard problem with my sinuses in January and February too. It’s tough going every winter. Can’t wait for spring!
Carla
I am so behind on reading blog posts due to my company. I am so sorry to hear that you have been so sick Kimberly. I hope you are feeling better now.
Melanie Simmons
I’m glad you’re meds are finally kicking in. It’s really cold here too. I woke up to 12 degrees, feels like 2. It was 60 degrees last week. I hope those meds keep working and you have a better week.
Tyler H. Jolley
Dang Kimba, well, I can say you’re consistent! I hope you get this illness out of the way for the rest of the year. Reviews into March? That is impressive! Happy reading and writing!
Kimberly

I finally read Chanel Cleeton for the first time, so The Last Train to Key West is one I’m looking forward to!
Glad you’re feeling at least a little better!
Olivia-Savannah Roach
It’s good that you spotted the medication wasn’t working so that it could be changed! I am glad you’re on the mend now but don’t rush into things too soon and keep taking it easy until you are fully recovered <3
Lindy@ A Bookish Escape
I’m glad to hear that your health is finally improving Kim 🙂 I usually get really sick every January too! It looks like you got some great new books to add to your shelves! I was eyeing The Somerset Girls. I think it sounds like a good story, and I enjoy Lori Foster’s books. Happy Reading!

Sounds like whatever you have is resistant to the first antibiotic. I’m glad the new one seems to be working. Hope you feel better soon — especially your throat!
Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library
You have had a time of it when it comes to illness! I’m glad that the new round of meds is working. Hopefully you’ll feel better soon. I’m not a fan of cold (not even North Alabama version) so I’m heading south soon! I think your version of cold would kill me. The Somerset Girls is really calling my name! It looks gorgeous and so summery.
Tiffany @ I Was Angelized_1st
I’m sorry to hear you’re still not feeling well. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
MsArdychan
I also got The Last Train To Key West! I have really liked Chanel’s writing, and the time period (1950-60 Cuba) is so full of intrigue! I have high hopes for this next one.
Lizzy
Ooof. I hope you feel completely better this week! The winter bugs are hard to shake, I got one a couple of days after New Year’s and am still coughing. Try to go easy on yourself!
Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books

Samantha
Sorry you are still sick! Hopefully by next weekend you are back to healthy! Its been too warm here for snow, which makes me super sad!
Sophia Rose
You win! I was just wallowing this morning because my head cold became an infection and stuck around, but glass shards in the throat? I don’t have that. I want to watch Troop Zero, too. Right now the fav on TV is Masterpiece Theater’s new line up.
Oh nice, the new Chanel Cleeton!
Ha! Love the name of his blog. Must go check it out.
Feel better soon, Kimberly!
Rachel

Your week sounds like my week. I am getting better but now I think I just got a cold on top of the infection I had. This new year has been fun so far. 🙂
I hope you feel better!
Have a great week, Kim! Happy Reading!

I am so, so sorry for how sick you have been. I had strep throat in March 1997 and thought I would die. I don’t understand how you can accomplish so much when ill. Drink lots of fluids and try to rest when you can.
You got quite a haul this week. Enjoy!
LORI CASWELL
I finally have to admit I am coming down with a good head cold. I am also so ready for Spring!

I was really wanting to read The Witcher series until I watched the show on Netflix. Now I have zero interest. 🙁 Maybe it will come back at some point.

My partner is reading the Witcher books right now and really enjoying them too 🙂 I hope you enjoy The Tenant as much as I did. I thought it was pretty good and well translated.
Hope you feel better!
Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra
I’m glad to hear that the switch in meds is making a difference. I hope you enjoy all of your new reads and that you’ll feel well enough soon to start getting those reviews written.
Stormi Johnson
I am thinking about trying Witcher books to help explain the show! It was nice eye candy but I was so confused through most of it!
Hope you get to feeling better soon! Hate that you are having snow storms but glad they have stayed away from here. I want to be excited for Spring but after last years storms I don’t think my heart can take another Spring like that so I am a bit anxious about Spring getting here. 🙁
Lola
That sickness is really sticking around for a long time. I hope the new meds are helping and you feel better soon. At least it sounds like you have some good audiobooks and tv shows to keep you company. Have a great week!
A Voracious Reader
I hope those new meds are still kicking plague ass. I hate January. It’s such a crappy month. I hope you have a much better week, Kim!
Andreea
You are enjoying a lot of shows I want to try – although Supernatural has so many seasons and it is a bit intimidating.
Kimberly
We have never missed an episode and actually watched it the old fashioned way with commercials. We even set up a VCR when we went on vacation. ? Now we DVR and watch each episode on Saturday night.
Natalie @Natflix&Books
Yikes! That sounds like a rough week indeed. Glad you’re on the mend. Happy reading!
Amy
I’m glad you’re on the mend after changing your meds! Get well soon 🙂

Oh Kimberly I am so sorry to hear that you’ve been so sick the whole week! I hope the new meds really kick in and help you out! Now about The Witcher audiobook, is it the exact title of the audiobook? Because I need new recs for your challenge 😉
Kimberly
No on my Facebook page I posted the reading/listening order it begins with The Last Wish.
Gayathri
I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook memories too! Apparently I read too many books according to them. Well, who would have thought !
I am glad you get to savor all those books and series! But I hope you are feeling better soon!
Siran
Too bad there was snow like this at Christmas. Hope you feel better soon.
Laura Thomas
I’m starting to catch up on some of my reviews and need to get back to blogging ahead. The weather here is warm and rainy. I won’t complain as cold is not my thing. LOL I hope you continue to improve and feel like yourself again soon, Kimberly:)
Laurel-Rain Snow

Wow sounds like a rough week, and whatever you have was really hanging on. Hope you are much better now. We’re having the same here with snow and ice- it’s kinda nasty out!
I need to get back to the Magicians- I watched the first two seasons but that’s it.
Take care this week Kimba!
