A new month with lots of activities. Beginning this Friday with the #HoHoHoRAT and ending Thanksgiving weekend with Book Bonanza. I hope you’ll join the blog festivities.
For the month of October I read/listened to eighteen books. As of October 31st I’ve reached 189 of 200 for my Goodreads 2019 Goal.
What a week for book hauls. Like library requests, everything came in on the same week! The Royals got the ick and so naturally I got sick with the gunk. We had snow flurries and freezing temps but thankfully nothing stuck to the roads. I am drinking tea and honey and resting by the fire. Stay Caffeinated!

I hope the readathon and event will all go well! And that the Thanksgiving in real life will too, as I think you do celebrate it. There’s definitely a lot of new books and I hope you will enjoy them all x
S. J. Pajonas
I’m a week behind on my blog reading! I’m sorry to hear you’re sick with the ick. I hope you feel better soon!
Chanzie
Oooh what a nice Haul!! Alone in the wild, Ren and Spellbound look awesome <3
Hope you feeling better and happy reading.
Lorna
Sorry to hear you and the Royals are sick. I’m not sick(knock wood) but I’ve decided I want to start drinking hot tea and bought two boxes. We’ll see if I stick to it. I love ice tea so… So anyway keep drinking the tea to soothe your throat and get better! And btw it’s freezing here at night especially.
Mystica
I like the sound of My Oxford Year but so far have not been able to track that one down.
Lisa R. Howeler
The weather change is leading to gunk in our throats lately too. Hope you are feeling better. Wow on the books! So many good ones!
Karen Alderman
We had our first brush of cold weather last week and I had a sore throat yesterday but it seems to have passed. WHEW!
I’m all caught up on review books and can’t seem to figure out what I want to read right now.

Sounds like it will be a fun, festive month on the blog!! I’m sorry to hear you got sick though – that’s never fun. Feel better soon!

Christmas in Vermont looks like a good cozy one for the season. Enjoy.
Kristin (Book Sniffers Anonymous)
Sorry to hear you guys got sick. That is never fun. Our weather here as been all over the place. A couple of days ago it was below freezing at night with a high of 50’s, and then yesterday 90 degrees! LoL
Lizzy
Ooooh I can’t wait to see what you think of The Bromance Book Club! It sounds like such a riot.
MarthaE
You had a good reading month even through a difficult month.
Nice mail box with lots to read/listen to.
Happy reading and listening!
Michelle @ Book Briefs
YOu are so close to hitting your year goal! That is awesome! I am a few books behind pace to hit my goal of 200
Laura @ Library of Clean Reads
I have to try one of Kelley Armstrong’s mystery thrillers. Hope you feel better soon!
Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer
Did you catch just a cold or was it the flu? Either way, I hope you’re feeling better.
Falling back an hour didn’t help me a bit as I’ve had a migraine for the last two days.! Nevertheless, I going to attempt to finish reading Met Her Match by Jude Deveraux tonight.
Lindsi
I wasn’t even thinking about the #HoHoHoRat! Has it already been a year since the last one? I feel like this year went by really fast. I’m also envious of how organized your blog seems to be! You always have posts scheduled for the next week, and I rarely no what will post the next day, haha. 😉
Lindsi @ Do You Dog-ear? ?
Carole @ Carole's Random Life in Books
Kids tend to get sick so often and love to share their germs. I know that you don’t need to be sick anymore so I hope you are feeling better. I hope you got to sleep in this morning. The time change just meant that I got up with the dogs at 4:30 instead of 5:30 so I don’t think it did me any good 🙂 Have a great week!
Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
Oh no! You’re not allowed to get sick again!! 🙁
Maureen @ Maureen's Books
Yikes! We’ve had some things going around here too. Started with our baby girl, and now we both had it..
I can’t believe it’s November already! I can’t wait for #HoHoHo to start.. but boy where does the time go.
Have a great week Kimberly and happy reading!
Heidi
The gunk is going around, my son has it this week. I didn’t realized the latest Danika Dark book was out. I haven’t listened to the last one, I really need to buckle down.
Mary Kirkland
Oh no sorry to hear you got sick too. My grandson and ken got a cold this week as well.
Maire @ Stringchronicity
Sounds like you’ve had a busy week, and busy month to round it out! Hope you feel better soon. 🙂
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
Sorry to hear you’ve been sick again! I hope this one clears up soon. You certainly got plenty of new books to keep you reading as you recover!
Laura Thomas
That is a great haul this week. I hope you are all on the mend, Kimberly:)
sherry fundin
i have got to check out dannika dark. i wonder if i have any of her books. i have seen her around for a long time, but i don’t think i
ve read anything
Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books
Sorry you got sick! I hate it when people share their germs… My mum brought some to visit last week and I’ve spent this week feeling nasty. 🙁 Fingers crossed this week sees us both shake it!
I love the cover of the Crossbreed novel! So pretty. I still haven’t read that series but it’s one I want to tackle next year. I’m beginning to accept the fact we have less than two months left of this year and I can’t read everything I want to in the time I have… So next year it is!
LORI CASWELL
We had snow here that stuck, about six inches 1 day. It is now mostly melted except in the shady areas. I was so not ready for that.
Have a great week and hope you feel better quick.
Anthony @ Keep Reading F orward
I think I’m coming down with something as well. I noticed yesterday and I was not ready for it. It came out of nowhere. It is getting cold here as well. Today my car was actually frosted when I had to leave! The ground was frozen as well! Now it is sunny outside, so I would imagine it is warming up now.
Anne
Oh cold and the ick. I hope you get some warmth and rest today! Drink lots of fluids I also got the pile oh ARCs with everything coming to me. I want the new Rockton but I want it on audio, so I wait. I want to read that An Alaskan Christmas but I have it from the library. I am not reading Christmas books until around Thanksgiving this year. I’m behind so it works. Have a wonderful week with health and energy and great reads!
Anne – Books of My Heart
Sarah
Sorry to hear you are sick. I’ve been lucky so far but have been drinking the tea and honey myself trying to keep it that way. I feel like my whole office is sick, so I feel like I won’t be lucky too much longer.
Sophia Rose
Ooh, sorry about the sickies.. It is really going around. We had our first snow flurries, too I got the new Rockton one, too.
Have a great week, Kimberly!
Jan @ Notes from a Readerholic
I’m so sorry you’re sick again, Kimberly. Hope you get well soon.
You got some great looking books. I’m so looking forward to Alone in the Wild and I want to check out the Christmas/winter books since I love reading them this time of year.
I hope you get better and have a really good week.
Lola
That’s a nice amount of books you got through this month. I read 14 books in October. I am still struggling a bit with the sickness I got. Sorry to hear you and the royals got sick.
Nice haul you got this week. I still have to continue that Kelley Armstrong series as I only read book 1, but really enjoyed that one. I even have book 2 already, just need to be in the right book to pick it up finally. Have a great week!
Sophie
Kimberly I am sorry to learn that The Royals and then you have been sick! It seems a theme as I’ve been nursing my 20 years old son the whole night! And about ARCs and arrivals all coming at the same time, I feel you! I hope next week will be better health wise.
Yvonne
Sounds like October was a good reading month for you and you’re doing great with your Goodreads goal. I hope everyone is feeling better. Have a great week!
Erin @ Cracker Crumb Life
I can’t wait to read Alone in the Wild!! I love that series. I didn’t know it was out – I need to get it. 🙂
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
Rest up in front of that fire, stay warm and well!
Wishing you a great reading week
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Seems like this is the week to get sick! Luckily I’m staying away from it as much as I can! Lol. Hope you and the Royals feel better soon!
Nice new reads! I am still behind on Kelley’s series and likely won’t get caught up in time to read an advanced copy of this one, so I had to pass! I keep adding to my review pile as it is and my reading speed has been hindered greatly this time around. So yeah. Not good! Lol. Hopefully I’ll be able to find a balance soon.
Hope you enjoy the new reads!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!

Oh, no! I hope the gunk goes away soon! And the dreaded “s” word can just take a hike, too. I hope you have a warmer gunk-free week, Kim!

I hope you’re all feeling better. 18 books is amazing! We’ve had frost here in the mornings and I am so not ready for snow. Enjoy your week!
Danica @ Shelves of Spines
October was a good reading month for me too! Temperatures are dropping here with snow right around the corner.
Enjoy the fire and I hope you get well soon!
Vi @Inkvotary
To be honest, I envy you. Eighteen books! Wow. I wish I could say that too.
Natalie @Natflix&Books
Temps really dropped here, too, although no snow thankfully. Stay warm and feel better!
Tanya @ Girl Plus Books
Snow flurries… my little Southern brain cannot imagine such a thing in November. LOL But tea by the fire sounds heavenly! 🙂
Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra
Yikes, snow already? No thanks, lol. I hope that you’re feeling better soon and enjoy all of your new reads. Alone in the Wild sounds really good.
Amy
You have a busy November ahead of you! Everyone seems to be ill this weekend but tea and honey sounds like a delicious solution 🙂
Happy reading!
Genesis @ Whispering Chapters
Everyone is getting sick this week! I hope you feel better! Drink lots of water, stay away from sugar, eat citrus fruits and take Echinacea and Golden Seal. I did that and I was only sick for 14 hours.
Irena BookDustMagic
Ohh, the snow is already falling at your place?
Sounds amazing, and take care of yourself, drink tea and keep warm like you said you do!
I signed up for HoHoHo readathon today. I knew I wanted to participate but wasn’t around the blogosphere this past month, but I guess I made it on time.
Now with my reading slump being finally over I can’t wait to read all the festive books, since they are my favourite!
sjhigbee
So sorry to hear you’re gunked and I hope you soon feel a lot better. The weather sounds horrible – glad you are snuggled up in front of the fire with hot drinks… Have a good week, Kimberly:)
Ailyn Koay
ah! nicely done. I have been sluggish in the reading department lately myself. now i’m doing nanowrimo it’s even slower
Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms
So many good-looking books here, Kim! I hope you’ll enjoy them.
You guys switched to winter time today, right? We did that last weekend, so I’m finally over it (and so are the dogs).
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.
Tabatha
Overnight Service looks great! I love Blakley’s novels, so I will def be reading that one! I also plan to take part in both activities you posted 🙂

I’m sick too, infected by grandchildren as well. Hope we both get well soon!
I need the new Rockton! I can’t wait. Hope you enjoy This Earl of Mine as much as I did. 🙂
Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library
Oh I’m sorry to hear you’ve caught the ick. Hopefully you will feel better soo . I’m thrilled about the extra hour. I always love that fall back and I’m the oddball that doesn’t mind the lack of daylight.
Siran
Congrats on gettinh closer to you Goodreads goal!!!
Greg
Yay for fall back! I love the extra hour… 🙂 And ugh to being sick. Same here with snow flurries and cold… thankfully nothing stuck, but seeing snow on Halloween was not fun!
Can’t wait to see how Alone in the Wild is…
Hope you feel better!
