Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.  See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

A new month with lots of activities. Beginning this Friday with the #HoHoHoRAT and ending Thanksgiving weekend with Book Bonanza. I hope you’ll join the blog festivities.

For the month of October I read/listened to eighteen books. As of October 31st I’ve reached 189 of 200 for my Goodreads 2019 Goal.

What a week for book hauls. Like library requests, everything came in on the same week! The Royals got the ick and so naturally I got sick with the gunk. We had snow flurries and freezing temps but thankfully nothing stuck to the roads. I am drinking tea and honey and resting by the fire. Stay Caffeinated!

Sorry to hear you and the Royals are sick. I’m not sick(knock wood) but I’ve decided I want to start drinking hot tea and bought two boxes. We’ll see if I stick to it. I love ice tea so… So anyway keep drinking the tea to soothe your throat and get better! And btw it’s freezing here at night especially.

Sounds like it will be a fun, festive month on the blog!! I’m sorry to hear you got sick though – that’s never fun. Feel better soon!

Ooooh I can’t wait to see what you think of The Bromance Book Club! It sounds like such a riot.

  4. MarthaE

You had a good reading month even through a difficult month.
Nice mail box with lots to read/listen to.
    Happy reading and listening!

I wasn’t even thinking about the #HoHoHoRat! Has it already been a year since the last one? I feel like this year went by really fast. I’m also envious of how organized your blog seems to be! You always have posts scheduled for the next week, and I rarely no what will post the next day, haha. 😉

Kids tend to get sick so often and love to share their germs. I know that you don’t need to be sick anymore so I hope you are feeling better. I hope you got to sleep in this morning. The time change just meant that I got up with the dogs at 4:30 instead of 5:30 so I don’t think it did me any good 🙂 Have a great week!

Yikes! We’ve had some things going around here too. Started with our baby girl, and now we both had it..
I can’t believe it’s November already! I can’t wait for #HoHoHo to start.. but boy where does the time go.
Have a great week Kimberly and happy reading!

  8. Heidi

The gunk is going around, my son has it this week. I didn’t realized the latest Danika Dark book was out. I haven’t listened to the last one, I really need to buckle down.

  9. Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books

Sorry you got sick! I hate it when people share their germs… My mum brought some to visit last week and I’ve spent this week feeling nasty. 🙁 Fingers crossed this week sees us both shake it!

I love the cover of the Crossbreed novel! So pretty. I still haven’t read that series but it’s one I want to tackle next year. I’m beginning to accept the fact we have less than two months left of this year and I can’t read everything I want to in the time I have… So next year it is!

We had snow here that stuck, about six inches 1 day. It is now mostly melted except in the shady areas. I was so not ready for that.

Have a great week and hope you feel better quick.

Oh cold and the ick. I hope you get some warmth and rest today! Drink lots of fluids I also got the pile oh ARCs with everything coming to me. I want the new Rockton but I want it on audio, so I wait. I want to read that An Alaskan Christmas but I have it from the library. I am not reading Christmas books until around Thanksgiving this year. I’m behind so it works. Have a wonderful week with health and energy and great reads!

Sorry to hear you are sick. I’ve been lucky so far but have been drinking the tea and honey myself trying to keep it that way. I feel like my whole office is sick, so I feel like I won’t be lucky too much longer.

I’m so sorry you’re sick again, Kimberly. Hope you get well soon.

You got some great looking books. I’m so looking forward to Alone in the Wild and I want to check out the Christmas/winter books since I love reading them this time of year.

I hope you get better and have a really good week.

That’s a nice amount of books you got through this month. I read 14 books in October. I am still struggling a bit with the sickness I got. Sorry to hear you and the royals got sick.

Nice haul you got this week. I still have to continue that Kelley Armstrong series as I only read book 1, but really enjoyed that one. I even have book 2 already, just need to be in the right book to pick it up finally. Have a great week!

  15. Sophie

Kimberly I am sorry to learn that The Royals and then you have been sick! It seems a theme as I’ve been nursing my 20 years old son the whole night! And about ARCs and arrivals all coming at the same time, I feel you! I hope next week will be better health wise.

  16. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Seems like this is the week to get sick! Luckily I’m staying away from it as much as I can! Lol. Hope you and the Royals feel better soon!

Nice new reads! I am still behind on Kelley’s series and likely won’t get caught up in time to read an advanced copy of this one, so I had to pass! I keep adding to my review pile as it is and my reading speed has been hindered greatly this time around. So yeah. Not good! Lol. Hopefully I’ll be able to find a balance soon.

Hope you enjoy the new reads!

    Here’s my StS

I hope you’re all feeling better. 18 books is amazing! We’ve had frost here in the mornings and I am so not ready for snow. Enjoy your week!

  18. Amy

You have a busy November ahead of you! Everyone seems to be ill this weekend but tea and honey sounds like a delicious solution 🙂

    Happy reading!

Ohh, the snow is already falling at your place?
Sounds amazing, and take care of yourself, drink tea and keep warm like you said you do!
I signed up for HoHoHo readathon today. I knew I wanted to participate but wasn’t around the blogosphere this past month, but I guess I made it on time.
Now with my reading slump being finally over I can’t wait to read all the festive books, since they are my favourite!

  20. sjhigbee

So sorry to hear you’re gunked and I hope you soon feel a lot better. The weather sounds horrible – glad you are snuggled up in front of the fire with hot drinks… Have a good week, Kimberly:)

  21. Ailyn Koay

ah! nicely done. I have been sluggish in the reading department lately myself. now i’m doing nanowrimo it’s even slower

  22. Tabatha

Overnight Service looks great! I love Blakley’s novels, so I will def be reading that one! I also plan to take part in both activities you posted 🙂

  23. Rachel

I’m sick too, infected by grandchildren as well. Hope we both get well soon!
I need the new Rockton! I can’t wait. Hope you enjoy This Earl of Mine as much as I did. 🙂

  24. Greg

Yay for fall back! I love the extra hour… 🙂 And ugh to being sick. Same here with snow flurries and cold… thankfully nothing stuck, but seeing snow on Halloween was not fun!

Can’t wait to see how Alone in the Wild is…

    Hope you feel better!
