It was a crazy week. Our weather went from record breaking heat followed by storms and lows. We are taking it one day at a time still. My reading has been a reflection of my emotions. I had 4 books and 2 audiobooks going this week and completed one. Don’t laugh but Mr. Caffeinated and I started Game of Thrones. Yes, Season One, Episode One. LOL The cable company gave him HBO for free for two years so here we are…. eight years late to the party. Stay Caffeinated!

Oh, you’re much better off binge watching GoT. I wish I had waited and watched all at once. My cousin did and she was better able to follow the plot and all the characters, whereas I just kept forgetting who everyone was and what they were doing because I had to wait between seasons!
Olivia Roach
Don’t worry! I have still only seen season one of game of thrones and need to catch up with the rest of the series at… some… point. I did like it! I just got distracted 😛
Sam @literarycritique
omg! I hope you enjoy Game of Thrones! The last season is touch and go if you heard, but I think for it being separated from the books, it was good on its own!
Leona
I’m so excited for that Fraterfest Readathon! I have so many books I want to try and read/listen to that would be perfect for it!
Jonetta (Ejaygirl) | Blue Mood Café
Hope you love How to Love a Duke in Ten Days as much as I did! My first Kerrigan Byrne and definitely not my last. Enjoy!
Tyler H. Jolley
You are not alone, I’ve never seen a single episode of GOT! I had a busy week, my MG book releases in a few weeks and I have SO.. MUCH. TO. DO. I hope you have a great week with awesome weather, Kimba.
Lizzy
Hugs. Still thinking of you often. Hope this week is better and that you find a book you can just immerse yourself into!
Fran @ Fran's Corner
suppose the weather is all over the place everywhere right now. Here in UK we’re having another heat wave (the third in just a few months), and it’s been alterning with storms and heavy rain.
I loved GOT, the only thing I can say is ‘Don’t get attached to ANYONE’ lol!

Sometimes reading seems disjointed. Hope things are getting better in your world.
I found GOT hard to get through (sex and language) but after the first season I was hooked by the story and primary characters
Happy Reading and Watching.
Laura @ Library of Clean Reads
You’re not the only one who hasn’t seen Game of Thrones!! Just this weekend I was thinking of starting to watch it, but I settled for Poldark instead. Enjoy your new books.
vvb
Yay – Game of Thrones! You’re in for a wild ride. Enjoy.
Rachel
I LOVED How to Love a Duke in Ten Days, and Sapphire Flames. I’ll have to check out your review once it posts. Enjoy Game of Thrones. I still haven’t read or watched the story. 🙂
Jessica at Booked J
I always get inexplicably excited when I see someone is starting Game of Thrones. I hope you guys enjoy it! AND WOO! Free HBO for two years! Hope the week ahead treats you well!
Sophia Rose
Yeah, the heat was oppressive until those storms rolled through. Glad for the break.
LOL, sorry, I’m laughing anyway about the Game of Thrones start. I still haven’t read or watched them… except the grand finale. Ha! I blame my husband for insisting I see it with him even though I hadn’t watched any of the previous episodes or seasons.
Oooh, got the same haul books. 🙂
Have a great week, Kimberly!
Jackie Briere
I didn’t know you hadn’t seen Game of Thrones. I was definitely hooked for a while but this year with the finale I wasn’t impressed. The show writers just didn’t do justice however spectacular the visual effects (with the dragons, White Walkers etc) and the hard work that went into making this TV show. Jon Snow will always be a favourite character as well as all the visual beauty of the North. I really hope GRR Martin gives a better ‘writing’ experience. UGH! I Can’t! With all due respect, it was what seemed like an impossible task, to finish filming a series without the writing expertise of author George Martin. I am mad about it because Game of Thrones deserves better. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did. I’ve seen it from beginning to end at least 3 times.
Anyway, I hope you have a great week!
Marti @ Bookish Treats
The weather has been crapy where I live too. I started Game of Thrones this year as well! My sister is in love with the show and forcing me to watch it. I’m finishing season 3 now.
Have a great week!
Mary Kirkland
I’ve never watched Game of Thrones but I heard it was good except for the ending.
Vi @Inkvotary
It seems we are getting your heat now *smile* Summer is coming back here and we see temperatures rising every day. Oh yes, Game of Thrones. I watch it occasionally but am not up to date with it.
Kristin @ Addicted to HEA
I’m really curious what you’ll think of Game of Thrones. You’ll probably love it 😀 And if you fall in love, maybe you’ll listen to the book? I’d LOVE to talk about that!
We’re enjoying the low temps right now so thanks for sending them along! Here’s to another week and one more book!
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
I”m not laughing–I haven’t even started GOT yet! I hope things calm down for you, and that you’ve got support with whatever you are dealing with. Hugs, and hang in there!
Lindsi
I never finished GoT! I think I made it through the first two seasons. I hope you guys enjoy it! I cannot believe it’s almost time for the Fraterfest Readathon! I feel like time has been zooming by since June. I hope you have a lovely week!
Lindsi @ Do You Dog-ear? ?
Kelly
Weather drives me nuts! I hate how it can be hot one day and then cold the next. I want it always to be a beautifully mild temperature. Have a great week!
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
I still haven’t watched anything but 2 episodes of GoT, it’s just not for me, but I hope you and hubby enjoy it. I hope the weather evens out, it’s officially the last week of winter here.
Have a great reading week
Daniela Ark
Hope things get better soon Kim! GoT is the perfect way to distract yourself! Never too late! 🙂
LORI CASWELL
We have not watched one episode of Game of Thrones . . . yet 🙂 I hope you enjoy it.
Have a great week.
sjhigbee
Urg! That weather sounds crazy unpleasant! We were also very late to the GoT party in that I bought the first 6 seasons for Himself’s birthday last year and bingewatched them, before acquiring Season 7 and then watched S 8 along with everyone else. I’m fascinated to hear how you get on with it – while I love Martin’s writing, I couldn’t get on with A Song of Ice and Fire, though I love the TV dramatisation…
Yvonne
I haven’t watched Game of Thrones yet, but I do have HBO and probably should try it. Hope you enjoy it and have a great week!
A Voracious Reader
I’ve read very little and it sucks. Hoping things get back to some kind of normalcy soon, so I feel ya on that front. The boys watched GoT, but I’ve seen bits of it. Enjoy!
Stormi Johnson
We have had some weird weather here too! Hope you enjoy Game of Thrones it was never of interest to me but at least you know not to be impressed with how it ends because of the groaning of the masses. 🙂
Have a great week and happy reading!
Stormi
bookworm
Enjoy Game of Thrones, I still haven’t watched it but it looks good.Have a nice week ahead and yes, taking it one day at a time is all we can do.
Sophie
Well Kimberly your weather was definitely crazy! And if you are beginning GOT now I bet that we won’t see you online very often because it’s completely addictive! Have a great Sunday!
Natalie @Natflix&Books
Some of my favorite shows are on HBO, including GoT. I’m also in the middle of several books but am struggling to finish any of them. Hope things get better.
Jessica @ a GREAT read
I never watched it myself, so you’re not totally far behind! Lol.
Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones. I hope you enjoy them both!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Anne
I’m still trying to catch up from moving and being out of town. I know exactly what I want to do and WANT to do it. But I need more hours in a day. I have yet to watch Game of Thrones although I intend to watch it.
I am enjoying the lower temps, it’s more conducive to yard work lol I hope you have a great week and get comfortable with some good books!
Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra
Too funny, I hope you both enjoy Game of Thrones! That’s a pretty sweet deal getting HBO free for two years.
Samantha
Wow HBO for free for 2 years!! Thats cool! I haven’t watched GoT at all. My husband did though. I just finished reading How to Love a Duke in 10 days and its a tearjerker. I loved it!
Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
It has been odd here, too. I’m glad you are taking it one day at a time. I think that is all we can do.
Lola
We had some unexpected warm weather suddenly at the end of this week. Your weather sounds crazy with the high and lows. It can be hard to find the right book when you’re emotions are all over the place.
Hey at least you can binge read Game of Thrones as all the episodes are out already. I haven’t watched it and I am sure you’re not the only one who is only starting it now. Have a great week!
RO
LOL! Don’t feel bad, you’re not alone. I’ve heard all kinds of wonderful things about Game of Thrones, but have yet to see it. Grab your popcorn and tea for a bingefest! Hugs, and hope your day is amazing! RO
Genesis @ Whispering Chapters
I hope you and Mr Caffeinated are enjoying Game of Thrones!!! That’s awesome 🙂 I’m glad you get some time out to be distracted and spend time together 🙂
Laurel-Rain Snow
I still haven’t watched Game of Thrones. I hope you like it.
Enjoy your week, and may it be better than last week.
Nick
Being 8 years late is good! You can now binge-watch the show and not have to wait 2+ years between the seasons. 😀
Siran
I am debating if I should start GOT too.
Tressa @ Wishful Endings
We haven’t watched Game of Thrones either, so I hope you enjoy it! And hopefully this week has better weather and reading for you. 🙂
Dani @ Perspective of a Writer
8 years late isn’t too bad! Better late then never ??????
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookworms
Better late than never, right? We haven’t watched any Game of Thrones yet, so you definitely have us beat 🙂
I hope next week will be better when it comes to reading! I miss you <3
Laura Thomas
I have several books I’m reading at the same time too. Can’t seem to get one finished. LOL I love GOT and plan to rewatch the entire series again soon!
Greg
Oh this is your first time through Game of Thrones? Wow hope you guys enjoy! You have lots of binging ahead haha! The weather has been kinda different here too the past week.
May have to do FraterFest this year- looks fun!
