Things are still a mess here. Mr. Caffeinated and I did escape to the Zoo for an afternoon with the Royals. It was good for all of us. Thank you for all the kind words and well wishes. I managed to read a little more and I am trying to listen to an audiobook but Zachary Webber keeps lulling me to sleep. I set the sleep timer and never hit reset. He has such a soothing voice… LOL ? I don’t even make it 10 mins in! I need to try and listen during the day. Stay Caffeinated!

Despite whatever is going on, I’m glad you’re getting good sleep! Lol. I really hope things start to look up. I’m really sorry for what you guys are going through. Stay caffeinated, Kimba.

  2. Anne - Books of My Heart

I’m glad you were able to get out to the zoo. My daughter and I have done multiple zoo trips. Henry Doorly was one of our favorites. Is that the one? Anyway, the day we were there was some kind of member appreciation day and they had all kinds of great Tshirts at good prices. I bought some great zoo shirts over the years and hope to make a quilt out of them one day. Have a great week! I hope to be back to normal by August 1 and can’t wait to see you at Book Bonanza.

An empty mailbox is surprising for you but I am sure you have plenty of books to keep you busy. I hope family is coping through the difficulties. I continue to pray for you.
I hope this is a better week.

Zoos are fun but it’s so hot here I can’t imagine going. I did enjoy seeing the pictures. Sorry things are a mess still. Our air is broken and I’ve been miserable. Had to go stay at friends tonight. Try and have a better week if you can.

Zachary Webber has such a soothing voice that it puts me to sleep too….which is why I listen to him while working out or cleaning hehe

I need to catch up so I hope to learn what you meant by the mess going on in your world. The husband and I have Google Home play rain or ocean sounds when we hit the pillows.

  8. Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard

I’m sorry things are still “a mess” as you put it. Sending warm and supportive thoughts to you and your family, and wishing there were more I could do. I’m glad you at least had a good day out with the Royals. Hang in there!

That sounds nice you got to visit the zoo for a day out. That sounds nice how that narrator has such a soothing voice, but less handy that you keep falling asleep while listening.

  10. Natalie @Natflix&Books

Still sending you all the good vibes. I don’t think I could listen to an audiobook before bed. I would definitely try to stay awake to listen. Hope things get better soon!

Also, I forgot to say “thank you” for hosting even though you’re going through a rough patch now. Sending positive thoughts.

Glad you’re enjoying the audio book. I used to do that too, fall asleep while listening so I’d set the timer lol. A day at the zoo sounds nice. I keep seeing The Book Charmer around blog land.. Happy week!

So sorry to hear things are still grim:(. And relieved that you were able to snatch a bit of time away with the Royals for a slice of fun. Hope things ease up soon. Hugsx

  14. Deb Nance at Readerbuzz

I’m sorry that things are difficult there. The heat can be very dangerous, so please be careful. Let’s hope that this heat lets up soon. And that your mailbox fills up…an empty mailbox is a sad mailbox!

  15. A Voracious Reader

It’s always fun going to the zoo. Well, except maybe not in this heat. Ugh. I hope things improve and soon. I’ll send some more posivibes to help it along.

  16. Tressa @ Wishful Endings

We’re going to the zoo on Monday, so that should be fun. It’s our last hoorah with all the kids before my oldest starts back to school on Tuesday. We had a heat wave early last week through Thursday, but we only hit like 115/116 and not 120+ like last year, so I’m still not complaining. Lol! It’s below 110 this week and I’m hoping for some rain. Have a wonderful week!

Glad to hear you were able to get away for a nice day at the zoo. Seeing the grandkids enjoy themselves is a sure way to lift spirits. Hope everything improves soon, Kimberly. 🙂

  18. Anne @ The Reading Life

I’m glad that the summer heat is one thing that can unite the world during the summer period (because everyone suffers equally from it). I hope the air conditioner can make it better for you though! Have a great week!

Hang in there Kimba and take care of yourself. Sending lots of positive vibes your way.

Hey Anne here! I just want to let you know for the past few weeks I’ve been trying to comment on your blog but I can’t. It’s been a while now and for some reason, I just cannot comment on blogs that use Gooogle comments. I just want to let you know 🙁

      • Greg

Anne- thanks for letting me know! I’m sorry you haven’t been able to comment- it seems like I had that problem once before. Stupid Google comments lol- I really should change my commenting system, I guess. I’ll look into that. And in the meantime, thank you for trying to comment- I really appreciate that!!! 🙂
