Things are still a mess here. Mr. Caffeinated and I did escape to the Zoo for an afternoon with the Royals. It was good for all of us. Thank you for all the kind words and well wishes. I managed to read a little more and I am trying to listen to an audiobook but Zachary Webber keeps lulling me to sleep. I set the sleep timer and never hit reset. He has such a soothing voice… LOL ? I don’t even make it 10 mins in! I need to try and listen during the day. Stay Caffeinated!

Despite whatever is going on, I’m glad you’re getting good sleep! Lol. I really hope things start to look up. I’m really sorry for what you guys are going through. Stay caffeinated, Kimba.
Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
Sorry you’ve still been having a rough time!!
Anne - Books of My Heart
I’m glad you were able to get out to the zoo. My daughter and I have done multiple zoo trips. Henry Doorly was one of our favorites. Is that the one? Anyway, the day we were there was some kind of member appreciation day and they had all kinds of great Tshirts at good prices. I bought some great zoo shirts over the years and hope to make a quilt out of them one day. Have a great week! I hope to be back to normal by August 1 and can’t wait to see you at Book Bonanza.

Some audiobook narrators are just too soothing! That’s me listening to Harry Potter at night. Lol. It was HOT HOT HOT here too. I’m glad the weekend is done and now it’s back in the tolerable 80s.
sherry fundin
Hang in there. Glad you had a good time with the royals. 🙂
RO
Glad you had some time to relax a little at the zoo., and hope things start to get better soon. Hugs, RO
Michelle @ In Libris Veritas
I’m glad you escaped for a day at least, I hope things improve for you.
I love audio narrators with soothing voices, but I’m in the same boat…I usually end up falling asleep, lol.
Dani @ Perspective of a Writer
oooh you always seem to have a day at the zoo! I think its a super idea. i love animals and you can hit up just a section and never get enough. Happy Reading Kimberly
MarthaE
An empty mailbox is surprising for you but I am sure you have plenty of books to keep you busy. I hope family is coping through the difficulties. I continue to pray for you.
I hope this is a better week.
Lorna
Zoos are fun but it’s so hot here I can’t imagine going. I did enjoy seeing the pictures. Sorry things are a mess still. Our air is broken and I’ve been miserable. Had to go stay at friends tonight. Try and have a better week if you can.
Lover of Romance
Zachary Webber has such a soothing voice that it puts me to sleep too….which is why I listen to him while working out or cleaning hehe

I’m glad you were able to get to the zoo with the kiddoes. I’m sorry things are still a mess at home though. I hope you have a nice week.

Hope this week is better for you and yours. Take care.
Stefanie
I need to catch up so I hope to learn what you meant by the mess going on in your world. The husband and I have Google Home play rain or ocean sounds when we hit the pillows.
Crystal @ Lost in Storyland
I hope things get better soon! This has been a quiet week for me. The heat wave makes it hard for me to get anything done in the afternoon, which means more TV / reading time (and more reviews piling up on the back burner).
Mary Kirkland
Going to the zoo is always fun. We don’t have one here anymore since the old one shut down a few years ago.
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
I’m sorry things are still “a mess” as you put it. Sending warm and supportive thoughts to you and your family, and wishing there were more I could do. I’m glad you at least had a good day out with the Royals. Hang in there!
Leona
That’s why I can’t listen to anything while I sleep because the voices I like listening to are so soothing that I probably would never wake up on time.
Steph@paigesofbooks
Glad things are going well for you! I feel you on the heat wave.
Lola
That sounds nice you got to visit the zoo for a day out. That sounds nice how that narrator has such a soothing voice, but less handy that you keep falling asleep while listening.
Melliane
DIfficult to have an audio which makes you sleep I can understand that
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
Im sorry there hasn’t been much of an improvement in your situation, I do hope there is some progress this week. In the meantime, take care xx
LORI CASWELL
Hope things get better soon. I had some issues with the heat but am feeling better this week.
Stay Cool!
Samantha
Its too hot for the zoo here. We would just melt! Sending good vibes and hope this week is great!
Natalie @Natflix&Books
Still sending you all the good vibes. I don’t think I could listen to an audiobook before bed. I would definitely try to stay awake to listen. Hope things get better soon!
Sam @literarycritique
I went to the zoo two weekends ago, and boy was it hot! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!
bookworm
Also, I forgot to say “thank you” for hosting even though you’re going through a rough patch now. Sending positive thoughts.
Lillian @ Mom with a Reading Problem
I’m sorry things are still a mess. I’ll continue to keep you all in our prayers. The zoo is one of our favorite pastimes. It’s a great way to get out of the house and take your mind off things. Hope you have a good week (and things cool down! It’s SO hot here too!). ☺️
Jennifer | Book Den
Oh, the zoo sounds fun. My thoughts are still with you guys.

Glad you’re enjoying the audio book. I used to do that too, fall asleep while listening so I’d set the timer lol. A day at the zoo sounds nice. I keep seeing The Book Charmer around blog land.. Happy week!
sjhigbee
So sorry to hear things are still grim:(. And relieved that you were able to snatch a bit of time away with the Royals for a slice of fun. Hope things ease up soon. Hugsx
Jan @ Notes from a Readerholic
I hope things get better for you, Kimberly. It sounds like the trip to the zoo was a good break for all of you. I hope reading goes better for you this week. And that this is a better week for all of you.
Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra
I’m so sorry to hear that things still aren’t great there. I’m glad you got to take a little break from it though and visit the zoo. That sounds like fun. I hope things get better soon.
Jessica @ a GREAT read
A break to the TBR pile is always nice! Hope you can make a dent in it with this break! 😉

The zoo sounds like fun. I hope things get better for you. Take care.
Laurel-Rain Snow
I hope that all will improve for you there, and that your reading picks up. Thanks for sharing…and for hosting.
Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
I’m sorry that things are difficult there. The heat can be very dangerous, so please be careful. Let’s hope that this heat lets up soon. And that your mailbox fills up…an empty mailbox is a sad mailbox!
A Voracious Reader
It’s always fun going to the zoo. Well, except maybe not in this heat. Ugh. I hope things improve and soon. I’ll send some more posivibes to help it along.
Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books
Glad you had that little escape to the zoo!
I hope things improve soon.
Sam@wlabb
I need to get an audiobook read by this man with the lulling voice. I would kill to fall asleep in 10 mins. Glad to hear things are a little better.
Ronnie @ Paradise Found
I’ve been to the zoo with my family too a couple of weeks ago. Fun times. I’m glad you enjoyed it too!
Tressa @ Wishful Endings
We’re going to the zoo on Monday, so that should be fun. It’s our last hoorah with all the kids before my oldest starts back to school on Tuesday. We had a heat wave early last week through Thursday, but we only hit like 115/116 and not 120+ like last year, so I’m still not complaining. Lol! It’s below 110 this week and I’m hoping for some rain. Have a wonderful week!
Rachel
Glad to hear you were able to get away for a nice day at the zoo. Seeing the grandkids enjoy themselves is a sure way to lift spirits. Hope everything improves soon, Kimberly. 🙂
Anne @ The Reading Life
I’m glad that the summer heat is one thing that can unite the world during the summer period (because everyone suffers equally from it). I hope the air conditioner can make it better for you though! Have a great week!
Greg
Hang in there Kimba and take care of yourself. Sending lots of positive vibes your way.
Anne Clarence (The Reading Life)
Hey Anne here! I just want to let you know for the past few weeks I’ve been trying to comment on your blog but I can’t. It’s been a while now and for some reason, I just cannot comment on blogs that use Gooogle comments. I just want to let you know 🙁
Greg
Anne- thanks for letting me know! I’m sorry you haven’t been able to comment- it seems like I had that problem once before. Stupid Google comments lol- I really should change my commenting system, I guess. I’ll look into that. And in the meantime, thank you for trying to comment- I really appreciate that!!! 🙂
Siran
It was surprisingly (for me anyway) hot.
Laura Thomas
I’m happy you were able to squeeze in some time for the zoo. You all need it:) I always have to listen to books during the day. Otherwise I wake up and have missed the whole story. LOL
