This has been a crazy week. I hope yours was better. I am behind on writing reviews but I have been reading/listening to escape the craziness. Friday kicked off the first day of summer and hopefully we will see some sun this week. The past week has been mostly rain and thunderstorms. Last night the sky was lit with lightning and rolling thundering. Stay Caffeinated!

I hope you will be able to get ahead on the reading and reviewing again soon! You honestly do so much so don’t stress it too hard <3 Also, The Bromance Book Club looks brilliant. Hope you enjoy it x
Stefanie
We have muggy, grey skies today. During our wet winter we never really had lightning and thunderstorms. It’s nice to have a break from the hot sun today.
Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
The Good Omens thing made me laugh too, but I haven’t seen the responses on Twitter—I’ll have to go check those out.
Oh, and I just noticed that your notification at the top of the blog says, “This site uses cookies. They go great with coffee!” So funny!!!
Tyler H. Jolley
Last week was a tough week for sure in the Jolley household. My eldest left for his two year mission to Columbia. I know he’ll do awesome, but it’s so hard to say goodbye. Have a great week!
Kimberly
{{Hugs}} That had to be hard, but I am sure he will do awesome things.
Lindy@ A Bookish Escape
I’m glad you had an amazing reading week! Crossing my fingers that you get more sun! The Bromance Book Club looks so good! I really want to read it! Happy Reading Kim!
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
I had a fantastic vacation in Minnesota last week. Luckily, the weather was better than what you experienced. I see you got The Seeker this week — me too! Can’t wait to read it.
theorangutanlibrarian
Ridiculous that people would want to cancel good omens! Great wrap up! Thanks so much for sharing my post!
Barbara Strickland
Cold here but hoping to move further north in the next month or so. Love scarves, gloves and winter coats until the cold hits and I think, sun come back.❤
Maureen @ Maureen's Books
Sorry to hear you’ve had a crazy week Kimberly. I hope this one is better. Here the weather has been pretty good.. Only two more days of my vacation left so I’m going to enjoy it as much as I can. Happy reading!
vvb
The Bromance Book Club looks like a fun one. Enjoy.
Lorna
That’s the thing with vacations, there’s so much that has to be done when you get back. It’s rained a lot here lately as well. We have a week of in the nineties coming up after tomorrow. I’m not a fan! Here’s to less craziness this week!
MarthaE
I hope this week will be better for you. Enjoy your reading/listening and new books.
Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library
I’m sorry to hear about your crazy week though I can definitely relate. I hope next week is much calmer and you enjoy your reading!
Anne
WE haven’t had as much rain but instead the heat.. 90s for this week. I hope I can manage it with all the moving over the next month. I can’t comment on some of your posts because I haven’t read the books yet, so I won’t until I have. There are about 5 reviews of the Lemon Sisters for me to read but I’m listening to it now. Have a great and dry week!
Lin
We have had many storms here, too. I do love a good southern storm though (as long as I’m home and not driving in it).
Flora
Our weather here has been a bit thunderstormy 😉 when will our summer start?!? ? I can empathize with avoiding the craziness by immersing in some great stories, I’ve done a bit of that myself this week.
I hope you have a great week, Kimberly. X
Erin @ Cracker Crumb Life
I love a good summer storm (although not severe ones). And The Romance Book Club looks good!
Gayathri
I wish it rained here too, even thundering seems good right now. I have been trying hard to be more productive these days. I hope you get some cool down time too.
Tanya @ Girl Plus Books
We’ve had plenty of rain here, too, this week but I don’t mind at all. We need the rain and O just love a good thunderstorm. I’m super excited for The Bromance Book Club and hope to start it soon.
Sassy Brit @ Alternative-Read.com
Sorry you’ve been so busy (and wet!) We had a lot of rain here too!
Here’s to a better week xxx
Jessica at Booked J
Woo! I just added The Bromance Book Club to my TBR the other day and I’m so excited to get to my eARC. It sounds so fun! And oh gosh, I think I’ve been living under a rock so I have NO idea what this Good Omens thing is (like, I know the book and the show, I mean, I don’t know the recent drama or whatever?) so I’m like scratching my head in confusion. Here’s to hoping this week is less crazy for you!!!
Kristin
Hi!!! I’m sorry you had a crazy week – booooo!!! But I LOVE your meme/comic!! So funny!!!
Hey… I’m counting linkups and right now you have 47… but then I see comments at 23. Things that make you go hmmmmm…. 🙁
Mary Kirkland
I’ve been reading a lot of keep my mind off all the crazy family drama going on in my life right now. Hey, at least we have books.
Tanya @ Rantings of a Reading Addict
Can’t wait to see your review on Moonstruck! I need to get that written today sometime, but I grabbed some new craft materials and am anxious to do that!
A Voracious Reader
Our weather has been crap, too. Man, I miss the days of nice weather. *huge sigh* I hope this week is better, Kim!
Samantha
Sorry you had a crazy week! Hopefully this week is calm! That banter on twitter between Netflix and Prime was GOLD! And the idea that people were trying to ban something on the wrong network…hilarious!
Sophia Rose
Bummer about the nutso week. Your weather was definitely going crazy, too. I definitely can’t complain about our weather. Sixties and seventies, low humidity, and mostly sunshine. Woohoo!
I got Bromance Book Club, too. Looks fun!
Have a great week, Kimberly!
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
Darn made a linking error..sorry!
I hope summer weather arrives for you soon., it’s cold and rainy here..but it is winter.
Have a great reading week
trin carl
Rolling thunder sounds great. Hope you have some great umbrellas, I’ve seen some pretty cool ones used in Japan.
Michelle @Because Reading
Netflix twitter and Instagram is hilarious. I love when they all get together and joke on each other. Wendys does that too. I think it’s great that they have such hilarious people running their social media pages.
This week was crazy for me too but I wasn’t able to get a lot of reading done. The kids are almost done with school and then I can relax since no crazy projects, lunches or homework to deal with.
I hope this week is awesome for you Kim! Happy Reading! xx
sjhigbee
Hm… we’ve just celebrated the summer solstice, which in theory means we are halfway through, however in practice – the hottest part of summer generally is yet to come. I hope the downpours and thunderstorms soon melt away, Kimberly!
Lillian @ Mom with a Reading Problem
Happy Summer 😀 I’m hoping for a drier week but not holding my breath. It was crazy for us too. I’ve read good, but I’m behind on reviews too. Maybe we can catch up this week? I haven’t watched Good Omens yet (mainly because I’d like to read the book first) but the whole petition and the joking between Netflix and Amazon has me wanting to watch it. 😆 Hope you have a great week!
LORI CASWELL
I am loving the summer weather and am happy if the thunderstorms hit during the night. I am looking forward to some summer family fun! Have a great week!!
Jennifer | Book Den
I love a good summer storm. 🙂 Hopefully this week will be better for you!
Mandy
I’m not a fan of busy weeks I feel like I spend the whole time rushing. However, I do find that I get so much more done when I’m constantly running. I wish we had the thunderstorms, it’s been hot during the day and going to only be hotter.
Lola
We’ve had quite some sunny days here already. I hope you get some sunny days there soon too. And that’s nice you’ve been reading and listening a lot, let’s hope you can get caught up on the reviews soon. Have as great week!
Nick
We’ve had lots and lots of rain here as well. I hope this week will be calmer for you and you get some of those reviews written. I got The Bromance Book Club too and I look forward to reading it. It sounds so charming! Have a good week, Kim!
Stormi Johnson
Sorry to hear you had a crazy week but thank goodness for books or escapism! I just heard something about the petition about Good Omens yesterday but haven’t really read anything. It’s not something I am interested in watching or reading but wouldn’t ban it. Why can’t people just not watch it if it offends them?
Have a great week and happy reading!
Stormi
Sam@wlabb
Glad you are able to find a way to get through the week. We had some much rain, I didn’t think it would ever end.
Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra
I hope the upcoming week is less crazy for you and that you have some good weather. I’m so excited to see you got The Bromance Book Club. I can’t wait to hear what you think of it!
Melanie Simmons
Rain, so much rain. Just when you think the rain has stopped for a few days, we get inches. So crazy. I’m behind on writing reviews and visiting other blogs. And, well reading. I’ve got three eARCs waiting on me (which almost never happens) and I just can’t get into reading right now. Listening to a ton of audiobooks though. Have a great week.
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookworms
Our weather has been all over the place! It’s been raining and thundering every other day, but in between, it’s been SO hot. I can’t wait to leave for Spain at the end of the week – as there at least, we have the sea breeze.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading xoxo
Yvonne
I’m a bit behind on reviews too. I hate when that happens. The Bromance Book Club looks really good. I hope this is a better week for you.
Vi @Inkvotary
Well, unlike you I was able to write and schedule some reviews and other posts *smile*. But our weather was kind of the same during the past week. One day warm and bright sun, during the night rain and lightning. The next day we had bad storms and some flooding. It is crazy! And the following week we are expecting around 103 degrees. Insane.
Best wishes
Vi
Genesis @ Whispering Chapters
For us, these past two nights have been storming with wind at 75mph! It’s been crazy! I’m hoping for some sun real soon so we can go to the lake. Hopefully you get sun, too!
Berls
Sorry you had a crazy week – hope this week is better for you! We’ve already had summer temperatures for a while, lots kd sun – and usually I enjoy it, but 7 months pregnant me is taking a hard pass on the heat ?. Have a good week!
Laura Thomas
Summer is here too. I’ve been enjoying the pool when I should be writing reviews. Behind on those myself. LOL Have a lovely Sunday, Kimberly:)
Sophie
OMG Kimberly I hope next week calms down for you! We also had thuderstorms here and next week is set to be stuffy with temperature above 95°F!!!
Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books
We are due to have some thunderstorms too. We’ve had such a lovely hot week, I don’t think I’d mind them as long as they come after Monday when my broken guttering gets fixed!
I’m also behind on reviews… Actually, I’m falling behind on everything but I’ll catch up eventually!
Have a good week.
Jackie Briere
It’s been raining here too. I watched a few episodes of the Good Omen on Amazon Prime. I mean it’s okay but I got bored with it tbh. It couldn’t have been less originally thought out. C’mon the antichrist? I got bored with those two trying to find the 11-year-old. I hope you have a good weekend regardless 🙂 *sending sunshiny thoughts your way*
Lindsi
I can’t wait to read your thoughts on The Bromance Book Club! I haven’t seen any other reviews for it yet, but the synopsis sounds fun! We’ve been having terrible thunderstorms, too. I really hate when my phone wakes me up screaming, “TORNADO WARNING!” I hope sunshine finds you soon!
Lindsi @ Do You Dog-ear? ?
Laurel-Rain Snow
I hope you have a better week…and I love the look of your books. Thanks for sharing.
Anne @ The Reading Life
I love nothing else more than a thunderstorm, food, and books. Imagine being buried under my stuff animals and blankets with amazing snacks and an AMAZING book, listening to the rain outside. That to me is the definition of happiness. I hope you enjoyed it! Have a great week!
Rachel
I got a copy of the Bromance Book Club too (I forgot to include it in my post, lol) and I’m thrilled because it sounds good. I loved A Merciful Promise and was sad to say goodbye.
It’s been a crazy week for me too, so I missed the whole Netflix/Amazon thing. Just now looked and had a laugh. 🙂
Dani @ Perspective of a Writer
Seems like this summer is all set to be stressful and too crammed with stuff to do! I hope your week gets better ❤️
Natalie @Natflix&Books
Hope this week calms down! It was super wet all this week where I live, too, but the same came out today and it was gorgeous out. Magic for Liars looks fun. Happy reading!
Greg
Ooh hope your weather improves! We’ve been having a lot of rain and storms too to start off June, but the last week has been kinda nice. Hope some of that rolls your way! 🙂
Moonstruck and Phoenix Unbound both sound good.
