We enjoyed our time on the island. The scooters were loads of fun and an easy way to explore the island from end to end. We enjoyed walking the shoreline, hiking and took a three hour tour exploring Lake Superior and the different cave’s near Devil’s Island.

You go girl on that scooter. Does it almost feel like riding a bike?
Kimberly
They can only do about 40 miles an hour, but they are loads of fun.

Love your catch up.
S. J. Pajonas
So glad to hear you enjoyed your time away! That island looks beautiful!
Lindy@ A Bookish Escape
What beautiful pics Kim! It’s nice to get away, and then nice to be back home! I know what you mean about catching up. I always dread the loads of laundry that have to be done when returning home. I can’t wait to see what you thought of The Lemmon Sisters! I love Jill Shelves. Satisfaction Guaranteed and Moonstruck look good! Happy Reading Kim 🙂
Lorna
Moonstruck! I can’t wait. And I hope you enjoy Time After Time. I probably would have broke my neck on the scooters but I bet it was fun! Glen you made it home safe!
Tanya @ Rantings of a Reading Addict
So glad you had a good time on your trip! I get so excited every time I see the Moonstruck cover. I’m listening now, but I can’t wait to hear what you think! Hopefully you’ll get all caught up and back into routine quickly. It always seems so hectic when you first return from a vacation.
Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books
Gorgeous pictures! I’m glad you had a good trip and you’re not wrong about catching up after being away being the hardest!
The cover for Satisfaction Guaranteed gets me everytime I see it! Beautiful man with a cat… I’m in heaven, lol.

Beautiful pictures. Your trip looks like it was a good one. We are going to get home late Monday and then it’s back to work. One of those times I might need a vacation from vacation.
Happy Reading/listening!
Erin @ Cracker Crumb Life
Oo Lake Superior is beautiful! I have only viewed it from the Upper Peninsula though. I had read the Lake was high – did it seem so when you were there?
It looks like a wonderful trip!
Kimberly
Yes, it was very high. Even the Captain who took us out to explore the caves on Devil’s Island remarked about how high the water was. The worst part..a storm was coming in the afternoon we left and they were expecting significant rainfall. The only upside was that it might blow away the flies which were bloody awful.
ShootingStarsMag
Ahhh…an island stay sounds really nice. I’m glad you had a nice time!

Wendy @ Falconer's Library
Scootering sounds like fun! I’ve never tried it, and an island vacation seems like the perfect venue.
Sam@wlabb
It’s so nice to get away, but there is always so much to do when you return to real life. It looks like it was really beautiful where you were. Great pictures.
vvb
Hope the catch up goes well. Time After Time is looking good. Reminds me of Cyndi Lauper’s song. Enjoy your new ones.
Jackie
Oh my, that hot guy with the kitten caught my eye. The audiobook is intriguing. I’ve heard so much about Lauren Blakely but I’ve never read any of her books. I got her confused with Jennifer Laurens of whom I have read. I am happy that you got to spend some quality time with your hubby. Looks like you had a good time apart from the long island tea 🙂 Lol I wish I had a scooter.
Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra
I’m glad to hear you had a great time on vacation. It looks like a really nice place to visit and the scooters look especially fun.
Flora

Glad you had a great trip but I agree, coffee is best at home. Except I did love the instant coffee I had in Japan. I am going to ask my son to bring some home with him.
