Rain, rain go away. This past week it was freezing, windy and rainy. It got as low as 49° and we ended up turning the heat on for two days. It has warmed up again, but rain is predicted every day for the next ten days. Ugh! Family drama and heartache were on the menu this week. Mr. C and I need a vacation badly. How was your week? Stay Caffeinated!

Oh man, I hope the rain will go away and that the family drama can quieten down soon? You do sound like you could use a holiday (and a well earned one!)
Stefanie
So sorry you have had to deal with family issues. I’d take your rain as I love the excuse of just holing up at home.
vvb
Despite some sun, we had rain and cold windy days too in Northern California. Enjoy your newbies.
Barbara Strickland
staying caffeinated sounds a great idea.
JoLee @Wickedly Delicious Book Blog
Sorry to hear about your family drama. Hope everything gets better. Yes family drama will make anyone want a vacation. We were suppose to have rain Saturday but it ended up beautiful. Did get some Sunday. Totally Random cute. Oh I see a dragon book will have to check it out.
S. J. Pajonas
Ugh! That’s way too much rain. I would rather have rain than snow, any day, but sunny and warm is preferable to both! I hope you can get some time off soon. Vacations are so important. I missed mine this year because of the broken leg, and now I’m desperate to get away, too!
MarthaE
Sorry to hear you are cold and rainy. The summer heat has started for us.
I’m with you looking for a vacation.
You’ve got new books I need to check out too.
Happy Reading!
Nise' (Under the Boardwalk)
We have that same weather pattern here. Hope the drama calms down, it is never fun.
ShootingStarsMag
I hope you get some unexpected sunshine! Cold, rainy weather is not fun. I’m sorry to hear there’s been some drama and heartache in the family. I hope things get better soon!
Lorna
We’ve had a lot of rain too. It’s in the high eighties today and going to get hotter later in the week. A tornado touched down and did damage about 15 minutes from here on Friday during a really bad storm. Scary. Sorry about your family drama. I know that feeling, but I guess everyone’s drama is different. Hang in there!
Sam @literarycritique
Weather has been iffy here, too. My week was busier than I would have wished. I took my car to the autoshop multiple times and fought with mechanics demanding they pay for a rim they claim they didn’t damage. In the end, I won. But it was ridiculous. I’m just glad it’s over
Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer
It’s been raining here for several days! I’m sick of the rain!!
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
Too much rain! That’s only going to make the Midwest flooding worse. Is it still flooding around where you are? I hope you’re staying safe and dry. The weather has been lovely here, except for a few thunderstorms. But I’ve working long hours, so I haven’t had much time to enjoy it.
The comment about Dove soap and Dove chocolates gave me a much-needed laugh!
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
It’s cold her too, but still warmer than it is for you.
I hope you get a break from the drama
Have a great reading week
Wendy @ Falconer's Library
I’m sorry your week was so hard. I hope the sun, literal and metaphorical , returns soon.
As always, I love your “random’ joke!
Kelly
I’ve been having rain here, too, but it hasn’t gotten as cold as it is where you are, thank goodness. Sorry about the family drama; I hope it gets better soon. Happy reading!
Lily
sorry for the family drama ): vacation sounds wonderful. I hope everything works out for the best Kim
Tanya @ Rantings of a Reading Addict
Sorry to hear about your family drama and heartache. That with your crappy weather would have made for a miserable week. Hopefully this week will be better for you!
Tressa @ Wishful Endings
We’ve had fabulous weather. Not rain, but much cooler temps and cool breezes. We’ve been trying to enjoy it since it’s usually 90 – 100 degrees here by now. I hope you get some sun among the rain this week!
Rachel
It’s been raining here in Southern California, too. Not a summery Memorial Weekend, that’s for sure. Boo on family drama! Hope you and Mr. C get to getaway soon!
I’m looking forward to your Summer Reading post! 🙂
Angela - Angel's Guilty Pleasures
Sorry to hear theirs family drama. That’s no fun! I can relate on the rain. We had some nice days then more rain came in. I tired of it. Love the book haul. I hope you enjoy!
Mary Kirkland
Family drama can be the most stressful. We got to 86 yesterday but it’s supposed to be in the 70’s for the next few days. 70’s in May, I love it. The average high for this time of year is 90, so I’ll take this cooler weather.
Sophia Rose
Yep, that’s our forecast, too.. Wishing you well and the strength to make it through all you have going on before your trip.
Oh hey… that Cheringham one is on my wish list. I’ll look forward to your thoughts on that.
Have a good week, Kimberly!
LORI CASWELL
I am so sick of rain too! We have have had sun the last 2 days but. more rain is in the forecast
Have a great week!
Jennifer | Book Den
Happy long weekend. I hope the rain isn’t too bad for you guys!
Jolene Wilson
Family drama is the worst. Hope things get better.
Sarah
It’s been rainy here too. I couldn’t say what it’s going to do for the next few days though; I don’t trust the weather people to predict further than a few hours in advance. Even then I take what they predict with a grain of salt.
Vicki
Sorry to hear about the family drama and heartache &, the cold & rainy weather! I agree, Dove chocolate does taste better than the soap 🙂
Lillian @ Mom with a Reading Problem
Ugh! I’m sorry about the weather. I’ll happily send you our sunshine and heat for a little rain. We are supposed to hit a record high today. I can’t remember a time ever that we were in the high 90’s in May ? Hope you enjoy your three day weekend.
Genesis @ Whispering Chapters
Aww, I hope you and Mr C can get a break soon. Thankfully in Tennessee it’s been warm and sunny, when it’s usually rainy and cloudy for days! So I totally know how you feel. I hope this week is better for you!
Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra
I’m sorry to hear about the bad weather and especially about the family drama. I hope things get better soon and that you and the hubby get that much-needed vacation soon.
sjhigbee
Sorry about the family heartache:(. Been there – got the T-shirt… Doesn’t help when the weather is so dire, either! That is properly cold… I hope it all improves very soon and you and Mr C manage to get your holiday sometime in the near future.
Lola
I am sorry to hear you had such bad weather this week with all the rain. Hopefully next week is better. The weather sure has been weird here too with ups and downs, this was a warm week again with little rain, but who knows what next week will bring. Sorry about the drama and heartache. I hope you can get that vacation soon. Have a great week!
Yvonne
I’m sorry about the family drama and weather. I hope it gets better soon.
Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
Sorry about the rain, but even sorrier about the family drama and heartbreak–I’ll be praying for resolution and a sense of peace for everyone involved!
Snow White & The Dwarves
Eek hope it warms up for you! I’m with family for a few weeks and tornadoes just keep popping up!
Mary Reiss
Hope you are doing well. I plan on hopping around today. Have a great Sunday and week!

I’m so sorry to hear about the family drama. Been there, will probably deal with it again. We’re enduring high temps and humidity here in NC. This is bullshit. NC is supposed to be a temperate state, but it hasn’t been that way for about a dozen years now. I hate it.
I hope the forecast changes and you have dry weather soon, Kim!
Nick
Sorry to hear about the poor weather and the family drama, Kim! You should definitely plan on a fun vacation to take your mind off things. It’s supposed to rain here as well for the next few days and I’m not looking forward to it! >.<
Sophie
I am so sorry to hear about the rain and the family drama Kimberly! I hope next week will be better for you weather wise and family wise!
And thank you for featuring my post this week!
Sam@wlabb
Sorry to hear about the cold weather and drama. I hope this coming week is a vast improvement for you and the Mr.
Liz @ Bent Bookworm
Ooooh nice haul for this week! Hope you enjoy your 3-day weekend. I’m sorry to hear there was drama this week…family drama sucks.
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Our weather has been rainy as well, but not to the point where we need the heat on. It’s all AC from here on out! I hate summer. Lol.
Nice new reads! These are new to me ones but I hope you will enjoy them all!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!

Tanya @ Girl Plus Books
Oh no, sorry to hear about the family drama. 🙁 I hope things get better soon. And it definitely sounds like time to get away from it all!
Anne - Books of My Heart
Well I’m on vacation and I might need a vacation to get over the stress of traveling, finding healthy food, etc. I love to travel but it takes lots of energy. I hope this week is better and not as rainy as predicted. At home, it looks like a heat wave of 90s all week.
Cynthia
I am so sorry to hear about your family Dramamine. I hope that you will enjoy your weekend regardless ?
Samantha
Sorry you had a rough week! Bad weather and family drama is a bad combo for sure. Hang in there!
Marsha Spohn
Oh, I’m so tempted to “borrow” your Dove comment since I have a bag of Dark Chocolate Dove Promises on the shelf behind me right now. *grin*
I’ve loved reading the Sunday Post and today I decided to actually begin taking part. I know I was longwinded this first post and hope that can be forgiven – but I was just so excited to be doing it. Thanks for hosting this chance for bloggers to get to know each other and their blogs a bit better. 🙂
Kimberly
Feel free to use it 🙂

I hope your weather gets better soon and those vacation days will be here before you know it. Just hold on!
Stephanie Jane (Literary Flits)
Sorry to hear about all your rain. Depressing weather 🙁
We’ve had alternating heavy rain or glorious sunshine this week so have managed to get out and about sometimes
Grace @ Rebel Mommy Book Blog
Oh boo to the rain and drama. Hope you can enjoy the weekend. Have a great week ahead!!
Flora
So sorry you’ve had family drama and heartache this week, Kimberley, I’m looking forward to summer holidays too.
I loved Sophie’s discussion post about forgetting stuff in our favourite books – so glad I’m not the only one. Lol!
Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books
I’m with you on needing a holiday! However, we’re just starting to warm up and it’s currently that hot sticky way that makes sleep hard and allergies rage. 🙁
Natalie @Natflix&Books
We are definitely squarely in air conditioning season already. Hope the family drama subsides. Mirder On Thames looks interesting. Happy reading!
Trish @ Between My Lines
Sorry to hear about family drama and heartache, never pleasant. And I hear you on needing a holiday, me too!
Lindy@ A Bookish Escape
Hopefully the weather and things on the home front improve this week! Enjoy all of your new arrivals! I hope you and Mr. C end up getting that much needed vacation!
Siran
Have a good (rest of the) weekend
Dani @ Perspective of a Writer
I love a little rain but stormy weather just puts you under. I hope your family drama will resolve itself! Sending good thoughts your way. Happy reading and listening Kimberly ❤️
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookworms
We finally got spring, and while it has rained at least every other day, we’ve had son sun every day.
I hope the family drama calms, and that you and Mr. C can get some rest.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading. ?
Laura Thomas
I’ll try to send some nice weather your way! Been sunny and hot here. And I agree, Dove chocolate is way better than their soap. LOL
Greg
Oh no! Family drama and lotsa rain- no fun. It’s been rainy and stormy here too, although today we (finally) had a nice day. Hope you have a nice long weekend Kimba!
