Margaritas for everyone! I cannot believe its May. Hello flip-flops and sunshine. For April I read/listened to 22 books and completed 81/200 book for the Goodreads challenge. I have been enjoying equal selections from arcs, audios and backlist. We’ve had family staying with us and it’s a bit chaotic. Hope you have a lovely week! Stay Caffeinated!

ooh, The Book Charmer looks very interesting; I’ve added it to my Amazon wish list. I don’t usually read YA but Annette Marie’s series looks good too.
Hope you have a good week, Kimberly x

  2. Lizzy

Oh, I just saw The Book Charmer (I think on Netgalley)! It sounds like a lovely read. Can’t wait to see what you think of it!

  3. Tyler H. Jolley

Wow, Kimba twenty-two books?! That’s awesome! We’re big Arrested Development fans so we celebrate both Cinco de Mayo and Quatro de Cinco. Lol.

  4. Lindy@ A Bookish Escape

Margaritas and flip flops sound great! I love May! It’s my birthday month, so it’s a little extra special for myself. I love that two of you new arrivals show bookish love! Great laundry meme! I’m on my third load as we speak! Have a great week Kim!

  5. Lorna

Cute random! I always feel like that about laundry. Looking forward to seeing what you thought of The Bride Test. I loved it. Hope you enjoy the rest of the time with your visiting family.

  6. MarthaE

I’m going to check a couple of your reviews. You had a good April in spite of being under the weather.
I hope you are enjoying your company.
    Your arrivals look good.
    Happy Reading!

  7. sjhigbee

Glad the weather is finally coming right for you:). It’s now turned a lot chillier and overcast, though we’re in desperate need of rain. Enjoy your family time.

  8. vvb

LOL – the laundry load. Love the look of the Book Charmer. Happy reading.

  9. Kelly

I’m impressed by the 22 books this month! That’s amazing. Congrats on your Goodreads challenge, too. Have a great week!

I’m planning on participating in the “finish a series” challenge too! I’m going to do one easy one (March, vol. 1-3, which are graphic novels), one medium one (David Levithan’s Every Day series, YA contemporary/sci fi), and maybe finish a mystery series too.

  11. Jen

I hope you are enjoying the sunshine for me. There are no flip-flops here. The weather is dreary, cool, cloudy, and rainy. I miss Spring. Have a margarita on the deck for me….

  12. Bea

Oooo, The Book Charmer is a tempting title and cover. I laughed at the laundry pic as it is so me. I procrastinate laundry so hard, lol.

Happy reading and have a good week,

What a wonderful april! I wish I could read 22 books in one month, I have so many I would love to get to. Hope May is just as great for you Kim
    Have a lovely weekend.

  14. Carole @ Carole's Random Life in Books

Where is this year going? It is so hard to believe that it is already May. It sounds like you had a good month in April especially if you have people staying with you. I hope you have a great week and enjoy your new books!

  15. Anna

I loved Emily, Gone! Such a beautiful story! Happy Cinco! Happy Reading! ๐Ÿ™‚

  16. Melissa (My words and pages)

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Oh margaritas sound so good. lol. Hope you are doing well. I hope the weather is finally turning to the warmer. But we are starting to get the April showers we didn’t get in April.*sigh* Oh well. I just hope it’s a dry summer.

  17. Rachel

We’ve been having great weather, yes flip-flops, here too! I do need to get a margarita in today! It’s always nice to be around family, but yeah, it can get hectic!

I’m currently reading Tightrope (I’ll come read your review when I finish)nand enjoying it, just finished Bride Test and loved it, I’ll be picking up Storm Cursed next! Can’t wait! ๐Ÿ™‚

Yay for Margaritas! You had an amazing reading month!
I like the cover on The book Charmer. Happy reading and enjoy your week ๐Ÿ™‚

You had a great week! So excited that it is finally Spring! I haven’t broken out the flip flops yet. ๐Ÿ™‚

  20. Mary @StackingMyBookShelves!

I am trying to get The Kiss Quoitnet done as I really enjoy it and what to have it done before things really start getting intense this semester. It seems like you have had a great April. Have a wonderful week!

  21. Lola

Sounds like April was a good reading month for you. And nice you got a good mix of books too. That’s neat you got those Annette Marie books in audio, I read the four books in the series so far and really enjoyed them. Might do a re-read with audio eventually too. I hope you have a great week!

  22. Yvonne

Spring hasn’t been all that great yet. Just alot of rain, but it’s good reading weather ๐Ÿ™‚ The Book Charmer looks good. I have to add that to my wishlist. I hope you have a great week!

Margaritas FTW! Good Luck with the family! Have a great week.

  24. Jolene Wilson

I am so excited to read The Bookish Life of Nina Hill. I loved her last book, Other People’s Houses. It was hilarious. I celebrated Cinco de Mayo last night. It has been a bit rough this morning lol. Lots of Coffee for me today.

  25. Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra

Wow, I can’t believe it’s already May either. My son only has 19 days of school left and it feels like we’ve just started. Enjoy all of your new reads. I have a couple of those on my TBR too and can’t wait to get to them. ๐Ÿ™‚

  26. Sophie

Flip flops Ha! I wish. The weather is now unseasonably cold and rainy here now!!! Now you read 22 books??? I am put to shame honestly with my meager 7 books LOL OK enjoy your cocktail and warm weather Kimberly ๐Ÿ˜‰

  27. Sam@wlabb

That laundry picture is more like the laundry I have to put away. I am actually great at the washing part. You have some good reviews coming up. I loved TBT, and can’t wait to see what you thought. My co-blogger is going to review Aurora Rising for the blog, but I hope to read it when I have more time.

I love the laundry basket picture — the caption is so true! I wish we were wearing flip flops but we are just getting out of sweaters here in Wisconsin. Maybe summer will hit us in August. Have a great week.

  30. trin carl

Love the picture of the laundry basket. I just spent time cleaning my room last night and now I just have the laundry to tackle.

  31. Deb Nance at Readerbuzz

The Bookish Life of Nina Hill and The Book Charmer books both look interesting to me. I shall take a closer look at them. Thanks for sharing them, and enjoy your time with family! Onwards and upwards to Laundry-World!

  32. Trish @ Between My Lines

It’s been a long time since I read that many books in a month! And I love how you got a good mix, I’m trying harder to do that lately. Otherwise I just end up reading all the arcs! LOVING the look of The Bookish Life of Nina Hill.

  33. Lindsi

I’m looking forward to your review of The Bride Test! It’s my MOST anticipated read this year. I loved The Kiss Quotient, and even managed to get my non-reading mother to read it. Obviously, she loved it too, and now she wants more book recs. Score!

Iโ€™m really happy itโ€™s May, too, even if itโ€™s still way too cool for flip flops ๐Ÿ˜€
I have somehow read over 50% of my Goodreads challenge (over 100 of 200), and Iโ€™m not sure how that happened.
I hope things will be less chaotic next week.
    Happy reading ๐Ÿ™‚

  35. Literary Feline

Looks like you have read quite a few books I have my eye on as of late! I hope you are having a nice visit with your company. My mom will be coming down in another couple weeks for a visit. It will be her first big trip since her surgery. Those Spellbound books are new to me, but, boy, do they look good! So do your other new books. I hope you enjoy them all! Have a great week, Kim!

  36. Greg

Family is always awesome to have visit but it can get chaotic haha! Happy margaritaville!

  37. Tressa @ Wishful Endings

I can relate to the chaos of having family staying with you. It’s always great to have them, but a little crazy too. We have my parents again later this week. Happy reading!
