It was a long week. Both Mr. Caffeinated and I felt a little off. The up and down temperatures certainly didn’t help. One day I needed to turn on the air and the next we were freezing. Ah the joys of Spring! The Royals spent Saturday with us. We got a sandbox, planted flowers and played until Nonna & Gee-Gee needed naps!🤣Hope you had a good week! Stay Caffeinated!

I’m pretty sick of the up and down weather too! I visited my sister who lives 2 hours east and 2 hours south of me. Sunday we left her with about 30° weather and snow just pelting down (no accumulation) and by the time I got home it there wasn’t a trace of anything and it was 54°. Needless to say I’m ready for a steady stream of 60s and 70s.

Hope you’re having a great week!!

Happy fake Spring, Kim. Your weekend sounds fun with the littles. It’s beautiful and springy here today but it was very cold all weekend! Don’t know what jacket to wear, LOL.
I look forward to your reviews but especially Relative Fortunes. That looks intriguing.

This time of year in Colorado is nothing but dry skin and dressing in layers. I feel your pain! Congrats to the royals on the new sandbox!

  4. Genesis @ Whispering Chapters

Love that quote! I am a houseplant with complicated emotions for sure 😂 And that’s great you had a wonderful weekend. Naps are a must for everybody. Naps are awesome! Have a good week!

I do hope you get to feeling better. The changes of temp is difficult.
You got some good looking new books. Happy Reading!

Our weather has been wonky, too! From cold and rainy to HOT. I just want sun and to sit by the pool!

  7. Angela - Angel's Guilty Pleasures

Hope your weekend was great. Our weather this week has been windy, but sunny and warming up. I got to turn the air off in the afternoon, but back on at night since it still gets cool. Have a great week. Happy Reading.

  8. Lorna

We have the up and down weather here as well. And one of the people I live with just came down with a horrible cold. Keeping fingers crossed that I don’t catch it or her elderly parents! Love the random!

  9. Lindsi

I love that! “You’re basically a houseplant with complicated emotions.” Haha! I always feel better after spending time in the sunshine. I’ve noticed the kiddos are more manageable when they’ve been outside, too. The sun is healing, especially when it’s been raining nonstop for days!

I hope you have a wonderful reading week, Kimberly!

As you said Kimberly so is the joy of spring! One day we wore T Shirts the next our winter coat again!!! I hope the weather will be warmer next week for both of us!

  11. Kelly

My weather is all over the place, too. But this week I’m on spring break, so the weather can do what it wants, and I’ll be perfectly content! Love the quote! Have a great week!

  12. Samantha

The weather is up and down here too! Add in the pollen and I am over it all! But, before you know it, I will be complaining about the heat, so what can you do?! Haha! Have a great week!

The weather has been crazy, but lots crazier where you are! I hope you and Mr. Caffeinated feel better this week. The pollen has been getting to Mr. Bookwyrm and me, but I do love this time of year — all those lovely flowering trees and bushes!

Yes, spring can be like that. LOL shorts one day and parkas the next.

I grabbed A Merciful Promise, too.

    Have a great week, Kimberly!

  15. Anne - Books of My Heart

I hope this week is more level in weather. We’re having warmer temps 70s but lots more rain now. It’s raining all weekend.

I got A Merciful Promise but I don’t know the others in your haul. Enjoy! Have a wonderful week.

We are experiencing the same up and down temps here in NJ, but at least I wasn’t caught up in that massive storm the midwest got. That would have put me over the edge. Sandbox and flower planting — you are the fun grandparents.

I hope you’re feeling better. That sounds like the perfect Saturday with the little ones! Enjoy your books, The Ghost Hunter Next Door sounds fun.

  18. Jolene Wilson

I am hoping to buy plants and flowers this week. We have had some warm days but cold nights. Hopefully, spring is finally here. Enjoy your books! The Kendra Elliot book looks good. Look forward to your thoughts.

  19. Nick

It’s been surprisingly nice here. It’s cooler in the mornings, but it warms up by midday. Can’t say I’m unhappy though watch me complain and get cranky in a few weeks! So cute that you and the grandkids spent the day together and had fun! 🙂
Ooh your book haul reminds me that I need to read The Warrior!

  20. Melissa (My World...in words and pages)

Oh the weather. It is really messing with our sinuses here. It’s starting to turn toward the nicer though. 🙂

  21. Lola

Sorry to hear both your and your husband felt a bit off this week :(. We had some of thsoe up and down temperatures here as well this week, it was weird how some days were warm and other days we turned on the central heating again. Sounds like you had a fun day with the royals :). Have a great week!

  22. Stormi Johnson

Yeah, April is being really weird. It was 80 one day and 50 the next and the nights are pretty nippy! 🙁 You got some great looking reads!!

Have a great week and happy reading!

  23. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Yeah our weather is going up and down as well! Today’s high is 45 Tuesday we’ll be back at 81 then by Friday we’re back to 55. If I can manage not to get sick by Easter it will be a miracle! Lol.

Nice new reads! Totally new to me ones but I hope you will enjoy them all!

    Here’s my STS

    Have a GREAT day!

  24. Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra

We’ve had lots of up and down temps this week too. I never know how to dress for the day and usually leave in the morning dressed for winter but am in short sleeves with no coat by the time evening rolls around again, lol.

  25. Deb Nance at Readerbuzz

Oh, dear, I’m sorry to hear that both you and su esposo were under the weather. It sounds like you enjoyed your little munchkins a lot…grandchildren are the best, I think.

  26. Trish @ Between My Lines

Our Spring weather is being mischievous too, teasing us with a glimpse of how lovely it can be, and then being all winter like again. Planting flowers together sounds fun. And I hope you both feel better this week.

  27. RO

That meme is perfect! So sorry that you guys weren’t feeling well, and hope that this upcoming week will be better. Hugs and Happy Sunday! RO

This weather has been playing with our health too! How fun to spend quality time with your grandchildren! I bet they had a lot of fun with the new sandbox! My daughter enjoys spending quality time with her Nana and Papa as well 🙂

  29. Rachel

Love the random! And love those Royals, but boy do they wear you out. Oh, naps! Yes!

    Can’t wait for A Merciful Promise! 🙂

  30. Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookworms

I hope you and the Mr. are both feeling ‘on’ again, Kim!
Spring is quite fickle here, too. It’s warm one day (making me sneeze like nobody’s business) and then cold again the next. Some days, I even need to scrape ice off my car before I can go to work…
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading xoxo
