Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.  See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

I am slowly building up my scheduled posts. I have approx a month’s worth of reviews scheduled. All thanks in part to a reading and listening binge. The hard part is stopping to actually write some reviews.

Wednesday it was 76° outside. Mr. Caffeinated surprised the Royals and I by taking the day off. We used our Zoo pass for the first time this season. We had a blast. Everyone came home to take naps! The weather turned cold for the rest of the week but it was fun getting a taste of spring. Stay Caffeinated!

Sorry I’m behind on commenting. I love going to the zoo! Of course, now I can’t do the walking like I did when I was a lot younger, but I have lots of good memories. I bet it was nice to see 76 after the winter you have had! I have Say You Still Love me waiting and I want read it, but have others that I need to do first. One of my favorite authors.

  2. Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library

Oh how wonderful! The zoo is my favorite place and it sounds like the temperature was perfect. I bet the Royals loved it! I really loved The Goodbye Cafe – far more than I expected as Allie wasn’t my favorite character. Hope you’re having a great week!

  3. Melanie Simmons

I love going to the zoo. I’m a volunteer at the Columbus Zoo, so I get to go out and talk to people about the animals and their struggles in native locations. It’s a lot of fun. I’m ready for the spring to get here. I think we are finally there. I hope you’re having a great week.

Oh yay! It sounds nice to have gotten out and about. 🙂 We’ve had some warm days here too and I wish I was outside spending time in the sun. I could use some sun!

I love going to the zoo and it’s so much more fun with little ones! I’m down for the nap, too. Ha ha. ?

Our weather did the same thing and we had snow this morning. ?

I hope your week started out well. ?

  6. Lily

woo hope spring gets here quick, tired of the cold weather. We had a day in late 60s and that was nice
yay for binge reading. So lucky, you hit your stride! I am hoping I can get there myself this year

  7. Olivia Roach

I feel you! It’s always so fun and easy to read and read and read, but the breaks to write the reviews come a little harder to me too. I am glad you’re enjoying building back up your ahead schedule though. And yay for a new Patricia Briggs book!

Spring, the temptress of warm weather. It draws you in, tricks you into thinking winter is over . . .and BAM, it snows and freezes. Have a great week, Kimba!

  9. Mina

I swear, I’m going to tear up every time I see the Boys or watch Supernatural until the next season. Then I’ll be crying rivers of tears. Lol

I have the same problem with writing my reviews! I have so many pending in my drafts section, it’s sad.

  10. MarthaE

I sort of envy having a month’s worth of posts ready. I’m lucky to get two ahead.
Glad to hear you had a nice day out with the Royals and a taste of spring.
Oh – You got Storm Chased! Lucky – Enjoy.
    Happy Reading!

  11. vvb

Haven’t been to a zoo in ages. Sounds like a good thing to do on a nice warm and sunny day. Ooo, enjoy the new K.A. Tucker.

  12. Angela - Angel's Guilty Pleasures

That’s great you went to the zoo. Spring Break is this week and we are planning some adventures to science, animal, and more stuff around the area. I’ve been reading a lot and not reviewing too. My bing is on ^_^. Have a great week.

  13. Sophia Rose

Good timing to pick a sunny and warmer day off. Zoo day sounded fun.
Yay for the reading and post writing binge!

  14. Kelly

I’m so happy the weather is turning warm! Where I live, it doesn’t get as cold as other places, but I’m still miserable. The sun and warmth are really doing me good. I’m impressed that you’ve got a month’s worth of reviews ready! That’s amazing!

  15. ShootingStarsMag

Glad you had a fun day at the zoo. I had some nice, Spring weather last week but it’s cold again. Sigh. Hopefully it warms up some as the week goes on! I could use some more outdoor time.

I can’t believe we only have one more season of Supernatural left! It is going to be so sad, but I’m dying to know how it is going to end!

The weather is so strange, gorgeous one day and cold and miserable the next. I’m getting tired of it and ready for some consistency! Have a great week!

  17. Lindsi

Did you see the Supernatural announcement? It’s going to be their last season! 15 seasons is an insanely long run, and a ridiculous amount of time spent doing the same show (have you compared what they looked like then and now — crazy!).

We had one day in the 70s too, and then the temperature dipped, but at least it is staying above freezing this week. The zoo is fun! I have always been lucky to have a great zoo close by (now I have Philly and the Bronx zoo). Glad you had a great time.

It has been warm and sunny for the last two weeks. Quite unexpectedly, a cold front blew through yesterday and the temperatures dropped thirty degrees! What?!

    Have a great week.

  20. Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard

The zoo—what a lovely day out! And naps sound like an excellent idea. I’m glad you got a taste of spring before it got cold again. We had a few lovely warm days, too. It’s cool again now, but I think spring is really here.

Have a wonderful week and enjoy your new books! I know you’re feeling a little better if you’ve gotten that far ahead in your posting schedule.

Naps are the best! Sounds like you guys had a great outing to the zoo. You two are wonderful (caffeinated) grandparents! Looking forward to this week’s reviews. Now off to catch up on last week. 🙂

Oh wow. You finally got nice weather.. The zoo is always fun. Nice to have a listening/reading binge and a nice lineup in reviews. 🙂 I need to get my list scheduled again. 🙂

  23. RO

Yay! What fun it must have been to hang out at the zoo, and glad the weather was perfect! Glad everyone is feeling well these days! Hugs…RO

  24. Samantha

It was actually kind of warm here this week. Then Saturday night, it rained like crazy and this morning the high is 31. Oh well, we had a moment of spring. It is suppose to be in the upper 60’s by the end of the week at least!
    Enjoy your new books!

76 degrees! Yay! Spring has arrived in your neck of the woods. Happy reading! ? ?

  26. LORI CASWELL

Spring is springing here too but there were a few snowflakes in the air yesterday. I am so ready for the warmer temps.

    Have a great week!

  27. A Voracious Reader

It looks like we may have put it in Spring Drive here. Hopefully it stays that way and doesn’t shift into Summer. It would be nice to get a month (or dare I hope two?!) of Spring before we get into the 80s. *fingers crossed* I hope it stays Spring-like for you Kim!

  28. Anne - Books of My Heart

Definitely getting the reviews written is harder than the reading. Wow, from snow to 76! We have a much narrower temp range, which is why I moved here. I love the zoo! In fact, I have T-shirts from when we visited your zoo, Have a wonderful week!

My kiddo is on break this week, and I think we might head to the zoo tomorrow morning! 🙂

All of your new arrivals look fantastic – I love the Mercy Thompson series! And Supernatural, such sad news. #TeamDean I am going to miss watching the show, but I comfort myself that I have so many seasons to rewatch!

  30. bookworm

Yay to Spring arriving and the day to the zoo sounds fun. Enjoy your week and happy reading 🙂 A months worth of reviews scheduled is awesome!

  31. Lola

That’s great you had a taste of spring and got to visit the zoo! We’re having some nice weather here this weekend and I hope it stays for a while. Thta’s nice you got a bunch of books listened to and are building up your scheduled posts again. Have a great week!

  32. Jolene Wilson

Wow 76 degrees! Glad you got out to enjoy it. All your books are new to me this week. Shows you that I haven’t been around for awhile lol. Have a great week.

  33. Sophie

I know what you mean by a taste of spring Kimberly! We also had some gorgeous days here soon followed by cold! Let’s hope you’ll get more beautiful days to enjoy the zoo! Happy Sunday!

  34. Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra

Yay for finally getting a taste of spring. I’m sure the Royals loved seeing all of the animals. And that’s amazing that you’ve managed to get so many reviews scheduled. I struggle to stop and write them when I’ve got a good binge read gong on too.

  35. Natalie @Natflix&Books

I’m definitely ready for spring. We’ve had a couple of nice days, but it’s supposed to drop back down today. The Goodbye Cafe looks great. Happy reading!

  36. Lindy@ A Bookish Escape

Wow! I can’t believe you have a months worth of review posts! I am so jealous? How do you find time for so much reading, reviewing, commenting n other blogs, and a social life? I need some tips 🙂 I love K.A. Tucker and am looking forward to your review on Say You Still Love Me. Storm Cursed looks good! I’ve been in the mood for some good fantasy/paranormal reads 🙂

  37. JoLee @ Wickedly Delicious Book Blog

Mr. Caffeinated is a sweetheart. Always fun times to go to the zoo. I have 2 weeks of reviews pre posted.. Have not read a K.A Tucker book in a while. Love her stories. Wow is Supernatural still on. I was hooked for the first few seasons. We have had beautiful weather and this morning woke up to a little bit of snow on the ground. Happy reading and have a great week.

Your zoo date sounds like so much fun! And naps are always good after a busy day. I’m loving the look of the KA Tucker book, I just love her and that cover is so cute. Have a good week Kim.

  39. Melliane

I just finished Storm Cursed and I had a good time with it even if I thought it was a bit confusing at first

  40. Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookworms

It sounds like you had a great week, Kim, and how nice that Mr. Caffeinated surprised you with a day off. Those are precious, especially when you get to do something special.
Brandee and I have nothing scheduled at all… we’re too busy reading! And now, she’s here, so there won’t be much blogging the next week 🙂
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  41. Tressa @ Wishful Endings

Glad you got some fun in while it was warmer! We’re back to being warm here – in the mid to upper 80s so the AC is officially on in the house and car. I’m a W.R. Gingell fan and missed her new series so I’ll have to check out your reviews and grab the books as well. Have a happy week!

  42. Rachel

I did a happy dance when I got Storm Cursed! I hope we both love it!

Spring is definitely in the air. Yay for having a nice day at the zoo. We have some rain coming up in the forecast but the weather has been beautiful this last week. 🙂

Ooh 76 sounds awesome. I have to admit I’m pretty excited for the warm weather to arrive, although it’s taking its time around here! We can’t seem to get much above 50’s although it won’t be long now. Long range forecasts are starting to look better. 🙂

Hope you have a great week Kimba!!
