Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.  See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

Its Daylight Savings time and while I love that we are moving towards more sunlight and warmer days, I miss that hour!  We got hit with storms again this week with 6 inches on Thursday followed by ice, and heavy rain which caused flooding because of snow runoff. Ugh. It was a crazy week; I have been nursing a cold, went to see Adrian Belew perform and got caught up on some reviews. Stay Caffeinated.

I’m #69 in the linkup. LOLOL

Wow. You’re weather has just been sucking. Take heart. Spring is almost here!!

I hope you’re having a warmer week, Kim!

  2. Tyler H. Jolley

Ugh, Kimba, this time change is killing me! I’m so tired and haven’t read at all in the last few days. Today that will all change!

  3. vvb

I’m running late with this week’s post. I’ll blame it on the time change 😉 Enjoy your latest and stay warm.

  4. MarthaE

Sorry to hear about the runoff and that you are fighting a cold again.
Come From Away looks like one I would like.
    Happy Reading!

  5. Sophia Rose

Yep, extra sun, but a few days of dragging to get that stuff. 🙂 Feel better from that cold.
I have already loved on Come From Away. Your other haul books will be winners, too. Enjoy.

    Have a great week, Kimberly!

  6. ShootingStarsMag

Ooh sorry about all of the bad weather. I like that the days will get longer too but losing an hour is kind of rough at first.

LOL on the totally random quote. Since moving here to the burbs I hardly wear make up especially since I work out in the morning and after I shower I’m done getting ready for the day and want to move onto chores and such.
I think you’ve been caught up on my blog and I’m not posting yet so no linking today.

  8. bookworm

Feel better and that sounds like crazy weather! I can relate to that meme 🙂 lol. The Lost Girls of Paris sounds great.
    Enjoy your week!

  9. Sam Rinaldo

It’s been a battle between snow and rain where I live. But I enjoy this extra hour because my boyfriend is currently stationed in Europe so it’s a little bit more time talking to him at night for me <3

You folks have had a time of it with the weather this year! I like winter, but am ready for spring. Not that we’ve had all that much snow here. It’s been cold and rainy, which is typical for us in winter. We did get some snow earlier in the season, but nothing like you all have seen.

My blog is still down, and I haven’t heard back from the tech people yet. Please keep your fingers crossed.

  11. Mary @StackingMyBookShelves!

Sorry, you are sick again. Nursing a cold is still crappy to do. I like that the warmer weather is coming too. I also don’t like losing the hour but worth it for me not to deal with so much darkness. I have to move. Have a wonderful week and you will see me hopping around your post this week with no chem test on the horizon! =)

  12. LORI CASWELL

I slept in today. Will get with the spring forward program tomorrow 🙂
Hope you kick that cold to the curb soon.

My post this week includes info about The Magic of Storytelling. Posting a “Shelfie” on Twitter or Instagram get a needy child a free book 🙂

    See you next week!

  13. Tizzy

I’m from the UK, so our clocks don’t go forward until 31st March. I find the whole thing confusing! Hope you enjoy your new books.

  14. Melissa (My World...in words and pages)

I’m with you on missing that hour! I feel anxious all day over it. The weather has been going crazy around here too. Snow, then storms, and today it’s warmer with more rain coming in.

Hope you have a great week!

  15. trin carl

Storms are never good. I remember yesterday running outside to move my car cause there was an opening in the parking lot and I knew that I wanted to avoid the plows that were going to come on the main streets later that night. #moresnowinminnesota

I love your Totally Random this week. It’s so true! Sorry about your cold, but glad you got some reviews done and got to see Adam Belew. The weather has been crazy. We didn’t get all the snow you got this last week, but lots of rain on Saturday, I guess.

I am so ready for Spring! I can’t believe all the snow you’re getting! How are you feeling, by the way??

  18. Michelle @Because Reading

It snowed then was freezing now it’s pouring outside. I am not sure the weather will ever be normal again.

I hope you feel better, I took a mental health weekend and made sure to sleep in a lot, nap and just play games. It was much needed and I plan to do it more often.

Have a great week, Kim! Happy Reading! xx

We cannot escape the rain! As soon as the ground starts to dry, there’s another storm. We’ve been getting outside whenever we can, but the rain and warmer weather are attracting all the mosquitos — ugh. It makes me miss the cold. At least we weren’t getting bitten every time we stepped outside. My son also started soccer last week, and they have a late practice time, so it’ll be nice having that extra sunlight in the evenings. Although, I’m super grumpy about losing an hour! It throws everything off.

I hope you have an awesome week, Kimberly!

Yeah, I sure love that extra light at night though but I am going to be so tired for a week or so adjusting. That totally random you have on here is spot on and make me chuckle! 🙂

Hope you get over that cold soon and have a great week!

I just looked up yesterday when our daylight saving time starts, it’s another two weeks I think. I always miss that extra hour. The weather seems out of wack everywhere. We had autumn like weather here with strong winds and lots of rain. I hope you can beat that cold soon. Have a great week!

  22. Sam@wlabb

I had DST backwards in my mind. I thought it would be light out when I walked the 9 blocks to the bus, but now it will be even darker. –sigh– Tomorrow’s going to be the Monday-ist Monday, because will be feeling the affect of that lost hour. Hang in there and keep warm! We can only look forward to spring at this point.

You’re several weeks ahead with your Daylight Savings time, or as we call it British Summer Time… Like you, I love the sense that summer is on its way – but also hate the loss of that hour in bed. Hope the cold soon leaves, Kimberly – you’ve had more than your fair share of illness this winter!

  24. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Yeah…I hate losing that hour. I already feel slightly disoriented this morning thinking it’s 6:30 instead of 7:30! Ugh. Wish we just stopped with the whole changing of the clocks. I say in November when we push back an hour, we leave it that way forever! Lol!

Nice new reads! Also got Chloe’s new book! Can’t wait to see how this series ends!

    Here’s my STS

    Have a GREAT day!

  25. Jolene Wilson

I am glad you liked The Lost Girls of Paris. I have been interested in that one for awhile. I will definitely have to add it to my TBR. Hopefully no more rain and snow! Spring is 10 days away!

  26. Maureen Bakker

Yikes.. Sorry to hear about the storms. Here the weather has been pretty rainy and windy too. Nothing fun about it! I can’t wait for summer to come along.
I hope your cold gets better soon. Have a great week and happy reading!

  27. Sophie

OK Kimberly first your random thought of the day made me laugh so hard!!!! But you getting a cold is not so funny as you were barely out of the woods!!!
And daylight saving won’t be before March 30 th here! So thanks for drawing my attention because I’ll have to keep that in mind for the promo posts as they often ask to post based on US EST.

  28. Michelle Gilmore

I am apparently the only person in the US who barely notices the time change, and I’m usually awake to see it, lol. Hopefully, the weather evens out for you. We’ve had a bit of spring this past week after having a week in the teens. I fully expect winter to show back up at some point though.

  29. Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library

We have buckets of rain and a rash of tornadoes a little further south but thankfully no ice. I’m not a fan of ice. I’m so glad you shared the post by Nora Roberts. I’ve loved her books for years but I’ve really been loving how she’s handled this whole scandal. It’s really made me want to buy and reread all her books! Have a great week!

  30. Rachel

Omg, Kimberly your random is so true! When I’m all fixed up I don’t run into anyone and the minute I look like a disheveled beast with hair everywhere and no makeup I run into everyone!

I just started Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files and my husband and I are loving it. Of course James Marsters is a big part of why we’re loving Storm Front! 🙂

  31. Greg

I’m not loving the weather! It warmed up here (that would be 30’s- not exactly warm haha) but then we got freezing rain tonight. Lovely. 🙂 Winter marches on apparently.

The time change always throws me off!
