Its Daylight Savings time and while I love that we are moving towards more sunlight and warmer days, I miss that hour! We got hit with storms again this week with 6 inches on Thursday followed by ice, and heavy rain which caused flooding because of snow runoff. Ugh. It was a crazy week; I have been nursing a cold, went to see Adrian Belew perform and got caught up on some reviews. Stay Caffeinated.

That weather sounds so intense! I hope things will start warming up for you all soon. Spring is coming 🙂
A Voracious Reader
I’m #69 in the linkup. LOLOL
Wow. You’re weather has just been sucking. Take heart. Spring is almost here!!
I hope you’re having a warmer week, Kim!
Tyler H. Jolley
Ugh, Kimba, this time change is killing me! I’m so tired and haven’t read at all in the last few days. Today that will all change!
vvb
I’m running late with this week’s post. I’ll blame it on the time change 😉 Enjoy your latest and stay warm.
Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer
I haven’t adjusted to the Daylight Savings time yet!
S. J. Pajonas
I am a LEGIT zombie today. One hour time change really SHOULDN’T affect me this badly but I swear that I’m asleep on my feet. I’m sorry to hear you have a cold again. I hope you feel better soon!
Stephanie Jane (Literary Flits)
Our clocks won’t be changing until the last day of March by which time I’ll have gone back an hour crossing from France to the UK and will then have to go forward again a few days later. Too confusing!
MarthaE
Sorry to hear about the runoff and that you are fighting a cold again.
Come From Away looks like one I would like.
Happy Reading!
Sophia Rose
Yep, extra sun, but a few days of dragging to get that stuff. 🙂 Feel better from that cold.
I have already loved on Come From Away. Your other haul books will be winners, too. Enjoy.
Have a great week, Kimberly!
ShootingStarsMag
Ooh sorry about all of the bad weather. I like that the days will get longer too but losing an hour is kind of rough at first.
-Lauren
Sarah @ SWB
Here in the UK we have a few more weeks until British Summer Time begins, I’m not looking forward to losing that hour though!
Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
Everybody always this time of year. Fall back is great, but spring forward is devastating. LOL!
Tressa @ Wishful Endings
That change to daylight screwed me up a little with my alarm set for the wrong time this morning and not finding your post last night to link up to. Sorry for all the yucky flooding and cold! I would think you’ve been sick enough that you could be free of it for a while. I hope this week goes better!
Meredith
We had snow and loads of rain!
Tina @ As Told By Tina
The weather has been unpredictable everywhere! We had a hot start of the week and by the end of the week we had dust storms of 56+ mph where we couldn’t see anything. It was terrible. I hope you start to feel better.
Tanya @ Rantings of a Reading Addict
The weather is going to drive everyone crazy I think! So unpredictable! Sorry you have gotten hit with a cold. Have a great week!
Mary Kirkland
I’m really not looking forward to the hot summer here in a couple of months. Hope you gt over the cold soon.
Stefanie
LOL on the totally random quote. Since moving here to the burbs I hardly wear make up especially since I work out in the morning and after I shower I’m done getting ready for the day and want to move onto chores and such.
I think you’ve been caught up on my blog and I’m not posting yet so no linking today.
bookworm
Feel better and that sounds like crazy weather! I can relate to that meme 🙂 lol. The Lost Girls of Paris sounds great.
Enjoy your week!
Angela - Angel's Guilty Pleasures
We’ve been having rain rain rain hear in San Francisco. I’m so sick of rain. I can’t wait for it to stop. Nice book haul. Enjoy! Have a great week.
Sam Rinaldo
It’s been a battle between snow and rain where I live. But I enjoy this extra hour because my boyfriend is currently stationed in Europe so it’s a little bit more time talking to him at night for me <3
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
You folks have had a time of it with the weather this year! I like winter, but am ready for spring. Not that we’ve had all that much snow here. It’s been cold and rainy, which is typical for us in winter. We did get some snow earlier in the season, but nothing like you all have seen.
My blog is still down, and I haven’t heard back from the tech people yet. Please keep your fingers crossed.
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
Huzzah! The blog is back up as of Tuesday, and I’ve posted a belated Sunday Post. 🙂 I hope your week is going well.
Mary @StackingMyBookShelves!
Sorry, you are sick again. Nursing a cold is still crappy to do. I like that the warmer weather is coming too. I also don’t like losing the hour but worth it for me not to deal with so much darkness. I have to move. Have a wonderful week and you will see me hopping around your post this week with no chem test on the horizon! =)
Mary
Samantha
We are flooded here too. So much rain! I hate the time change. Why can’t we just pick a time and stick with it?
LORI CASWELL
I slept in today. Will get with the spring forward program tomorrow 🙂
Hope you kick that cold to the curb soon.
My post this week includes info about The Magic of Storytelling. Posting a “Shelfie” on Twitter or Instagram get a needy child a free book 🙂
See you next week!
Anne - Books of My Heart
I’m wishing you warmth & health it’s been a rough few months. We are at least seeing a bit of sun today and might get to 70! I’m waiting for the Beyond on audio since that’s how I have reviewed the rest of the series.
Tizzy
I’m from the UK, so our clocks don’t go forward until 31st March. I find the whole thing confusing! Hope you enjoy your new books.
Melanie Simmons
I saw that there is a bill in the senate to move to Daylight Savings year around. Wouldn’t that be nice? I really hope it gets passed. It isn’t the first time it has come up, but maybe we will get lucky this time. I hope you have a great week.
Melissa (My World...in words and pages)
I’m with you on missing that hour! I feel anxious all day over it. The weather has been going crazy around here too. Snow, then storms, and today it’s warmer with more rain coming in.
Hope you have a great week!
trin carl
Storms are never good. I remember yesterday running outside to move my car cause there was an opening in the parking lot and I knew that I wanted to avoid the plows that were going to come on the main streets later that night. #moresnowinminnesota
PixiReads
Yikes! We thankfully missed the snow, but got a lot of rain which couldn’t go anywhere with the ground still frozen, and it’s really windy.
Jan @ Notes from a Readerholic
I love your Totally Random this week. It’s so true! Sorry about your cold, but glad you got some reviews done and got to see Adam Belew. The weather has been crazy. We didn’t get all the snow you got this last week, but lots of rain on Saturday, I guess.
Tonyalee
I am so ready for Spring! I can’t believe all the snow you’re getting! How are you feeling, by the way??
JoLee @ Wickedly Delicious Book Blog
Totally Random is so true. LOL Happens all the time to me. Enjoy your reads and feel better.
Nick
We didn’t get any snow, thankfully, but the cold was just so frustrating. We have some nicer weather this week, but it’s raining. 🙁 Sorry that you have a cold. Love that cover for the Genevieve Graham book!
Yvonne
I hope you are feeling better. We are having heavy rains today. I will be very happy when spring weather finally gets here. Have a great week!
Michelle @Because Reading
It snowed then was freezing now it’s pouring outside. I am not sure the weather will ever be normal again.
I hope you feel better, I took a mental health weekend and made sure to sleep in a lot, nap and just play games. It was much needed and I plan to do it more often.
Have a great week, Kim! Happy Reading! xx
Linds
We cannot escape the rain! As soon as the ground starts to dry, there’s another storm. We’ve been getting outside whenever we can, but the rain and warmer weather are attracting all the mosquitos — ugh. It makes me miss the cold. At least we weren’t getting bitten every time we stepped outside. My son also started soccer last week, and they have a late practice time, so it’ll be nice having that extra sunlight in the evenings. Although, I’m super grumpy about losing an hour! It throws everything off.
I hope you have an awesome week, Kimberly!
Lindsi @ Do You Dog-ear? ?
Stormi Johnson
Yeah, I sure love that extra light at night though but I am going to be so tired for a week or so adjusting. That totally random you have on here is spot on and make me chuckle! 🙂
Hope you get over that cold soon and have a great week!
Stormi
Lola
I just looked up yesterday when our daylight saving time starts, it’s another two weeks I think. I always miss that extra hour. The weather seems out of wack everywhere. We had autumn like weather here with strong winds and lots of rain. I hope you can beat that cold soon. Have a great week!
Sam@wlabb
I had DST backwards in my mind. I thought it would be light out when I walked the 9 blocks to the bus, but now it will be even darker. –sigh– Tomorrow’s going to be the Monday-ist Monday, because will be feeling the affect of that lost hour. Hang in there and keep warm! We can only look forward to spring at this point.
Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra
I’m with you on the Daylight Savings. I hate losing that hour but was excited to wake up this morning and actually have it be light outside. That random is my life, lol
sjhigbee
You’re several weeks ahead with your Daylight Savings time, or as we call it British Summer Time… Like you, I love the sense that summer is on its way – but also hate the loss of that hour in bed. Hope the cold soon leaves, Kimberly – you’ve had more than your fair share of illness this winter!
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Yeah…I hate losing that hour. I already feel slightly disoriented this morning thinking it’s 6:30 instead of 7:30! Ugh. Wish we just stopped with the whole changing of the clocks. I say in November when we push back an hour, we leave it that way forever! Lol!
Nice new reads! Also got Chloe’s new book! Can’t wait to see how this series ends!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!

I am glad you liked The Lost Girls of Paris. I have been interested in that one for awhile. I will definitely have to add it to my TBR. Hopefully no more rain and snow! Spring is 10 days away!
V @Inkvotary
Now I know from where the severe storms we are having here today were coming *lol* Thanks a lot! Hope you feel much better now. Have a great week.
Best wishes
Vi
Tanya @ Girl Plus Books
More snow? Ugh! Hope that cold passes quickly. That random is so very true. LOL
sherry fundin
Seems to be some weird weather this year…or is it just me wanting it to me sunny and warm?
Maureen Bakker
Yikes.. Sorry to hear about the storms. Here the weather has been pretty rainy and windy too. Nothing fun about it! I can’t wait for summer to come along.
I hope your cold gets better soon. Have a great week and happy reading!
Natalie @Natflix&Books
Yep, daylight savings will be awesome in a few days, but losing that hour is always painful Monday morning. Hope you feel better soon! Happy reading!
Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books
Lol, that totally random is so true.
I hope the cold is just a minor one and doesn’t linger. I think you’ve had your fair share of illness this year already and need a break!
Evelina @ AvalinahsBooks
I think we’ll only have our daylight savings switch time at the end of March! Not looking forward to it because the time settings on my WordPress always mess up and I have to set them at least three times to get anywhere. It’s incredibly annoying xD
Sophie
OK Kimberly first your random thought of the day made me laugh so hard!!!! But you getting a cold is not so funny as you were barely out of the woods!!!
And daylight saving won’t be before March 30 th here! So thanks for drawing my attention because I’ll have to keep that in mind for the promo posts as they often ask to post based on US EST.
Michelle Gilmore
I am apparently the only person in the US who barely notices the time change, and I’m usually awake to see it, lol. Hopefully, the weather evens out for you. We’ve had a bit of spring this past week after having a week in the teens. I fully expect winter to show back up at some point though.
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
Sorry you are nursing a cold, Kim. Feel better quickly!
The weather sounds like it’s all over the place, stay safe if you have to go outside.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading 🙂
Dani @ Perspective of a Writer
I wish they’d stop Daylight Savings Time TBH! It’s so annoying. Gosh another cold! Stay healthy Kimberly, we’re hoping you get better STAT. ❤️❤️
Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library
We have buckets of rain and a rash of tornadoes a little further south but thankfully no ice. I’m not a fan of ice. I’m so glad you shared the post by Nora Roberts. I’ve loved her books for years but I’ve really been loving how she’s handled this whole scandal. It’s really made me want to buy and reread all her books! Have a great week!
Rachel
Omg, Kimberly your random is so true! When I’m all fixed up I don’t run into anyone and the minute I look like a disheveled beast with hair everywhere and no makeup I run into everyone!
I just started Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files and my husband and I are loving it. Of course James Marsters is a big part of why we’re loving Storm Front! 🙂
Greg
I’m not loving the weather! It warmed up here (that would be 30’s- not exactly warm haha) but then we got freezing rain tonight. Lovely. 🙂 Winter marches on apparently.
The time change always throws me off!
Aleen @ Lampshade Reader
We’ve been getting a lot of rain here with crazy temperature fluctuations. I hope it gets better for you.
Have a great weekend!
Laurel-Rain Snow
Oh, I love that Totally Random…it is totally true!
Feel better, and enjoy those fabulous books!
Laura Thomas
Wow. That was some nasty weather. We got super cold but no snow. Now it’s warmed up nicely and I think spring is finally here!
