Cold weather greeted us all week, and we are expecting below normal temperatures for the week ahead. This weekend has been downright frosty with more snow accumulation than forecasted. I am trying to get caught up, but still falling asleep super early. I am often lights out before 9 pm. Sheesh. Still, I managed to listen to an audio and visit everyone. I booked my flight for Book Bonanza and I’m looking forward to the event in August. In February I read/listened to 14 books. I am one book behind on my Goodreads challenge. Just a few weeks until Spring! I can hardly wait. Stay Caffeinated.

I wish I could make it to 9pm! LOL!

I could definitely use some warmer weather. I’d like to sit outside and read. I got some snow over the weekend but not as bad as a lot of other places.

Aj @ Read All The Things!
I hope spring gets here soon. There’s so much snow, and it’s messing everything up. Have a great week!
Stefanie
I like how you’re going to a book event! Are there book talks with the authors and signings?
Tyler H. Jolley
Kimba, I’m on the same page about winer. It’s been so much colder than usual, and sooooooo much snow. Bring on spring! Have a great week!
S. J. Pajonas
I can hardly wait till spring too. We got 8″ of snow last night! Ugh. I’m so over winter.
Hope you get your energy back soon! 🙂
Brandee @ (un)Conventional Bookworms
You got more snow than forecasted? We were having snowmageddon warnings and didn’t get near the foot they predicted. Not that I’m complaining. My kids were supposed to go skiing yesterday but my son came down with something so they didn’t go. That was fortunate considering there was an avalanche that covered I70 in an area where they’d have been. Woohoo for getting your plane tickets for Book Bonanza! I can’t wait to see you in Dallas!!! I hope you continue to heal, Kimberly. Have a great week!
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
It will take a while to get your stamina back. Sleep is good for you when you’ve been sick! I hope the weather warms up for you soon, so you can enjoy sunny skies instead of all the snow. 14 books in a month is great, and you’ll catch up with your Goodreads goal in no time. Have a better week (I hope!) and may spring bloom soon.
MarthaE
There are weeks I go to bed earlier. It helps to restore some energy. I like the books you’ve been reading/listening and reviewing. I hope you start to get warmer weather soon. Enjoy your new books too. Happy Reading!
Nise'
We are bracing for a couple of storms this week. I hope they will be the last ones. I am so ready for spring!!
Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer
I hate this cold weather too! I can’t wait until Spring arrives!!! Happy Reading!!!
Jonetta (Ejaygirl) | Blue Mood Café
Stay warm and happy reading!
Barbara Strickland
You sound so much stronger. Great to hear. We are heading to the winter but I guess we are lucky we do get one so severe. Lots of love
Lindsi
Our weather has turned chilly, too! It’s cold and rainy, and the temperature are supposed to continue dropping throughout the week — brr! I’m cold just thinking about it. I purchased a space heater for the kid’s play room, but I’ve been using it at my feet whenever I have a chance to sit down at the computer. Stay warm, Kimberly! Also, you’re in bed before 9?? I want that right now! My kids seem to get an extra burst of energy right before bedtime.
Lindsi @ Do You Dog-ear? ?
Melanie Simmons
It’a snowing here now. We’re expecting 1-3 inches. I’m ready for spring too. I want to start riding my horses, but I will have to wait for the mud to go away. I’m like 4 books behind on GR challenge. I’m hoping to pick up more listens as I get to do more outside. Have a great week.
Maureen Bakker
Yikes.. it’s still snowing? Crazy!! I’ve had to buy our little girl a new coat because it was already so warm and her winter coat was way to hot for her.
14 books is pretty impressive!
Have a great week and happy reading!
Joanne
Sounds like the weather (long winter?) is affecting your body rhythm. It was chilly here last night and it hasn’t rained really in forever…which is not good. I haven’t read anything close to 14 books this month but I’ve enjoyed the 2 I have read. Stay caffeinated.
Stephanie @ Once Upon a Chapter
We’ve got a bit of a cold snap this morning and tomorrow. After that we’re supposed to be hanging out in the 30s. I can’t wait! We’ve got a sheet of ice from the freezing rain we got several weeks ago that can’t melt without the sun. Even the ice melt we put down is having a hard time with it!
Glad to hear you are on the mend. I think this kind of weather just lends itself to being in bed early. I know we go to bed much earlier than we normally do otherwise. Hope you have a great week!
Mary Kirkland
14 books is pretty good for the month. It’s been in the 70’s here all week after getting snow a week ago. lol
Sophia Rose
Yep, we had a lion for our first few days of March, too. Winter is hanging on tightly. 🙂
That rest is probably a great healing agent for your body though it is probably annoying to conk out so early. 🙂
Ooh neat, you scored Exit Strategy.
Have a great week, Kimberly!
Stephanie Jane (Literary Flits)
Oh no, not more snow? You must be so fed up with it by now 🙁
bookworm
You had a great reading month for February.
Hope it warms up soon there, we are expecting a snowstorm tonight here.
Happy reading! I’ve wanted to read Jim Butcher but never make the time.
Kristin (Book Sniffers Anonymous)
Sounds like you are doing really good on your challenge. I just checked mine out of curiosity and I’m 12 books behind. LoL Whoops!
JoLee @ Wickedly Delicious Book Blog
Bummer you are still in the cold and getting more snow. We have seemed to ease up a bit with the snow. Still cold but not has bad as it has been. Enjoy your new reads.
Jennifer
I can’t wait for Spring weather!!! I’m sick of the rain and want it to dry up and warm up.
Tina
Our weather has been a little on the crazy side. The week before it snowed in the mountains and this week we were flirting with the 80s. I’m convinced this is how I ended up sick again.
I hope you have a wonderful week!
Samantha
Its suppose to be bitter cold here this week as well. Its snowing today, but they changed their forecast from 5-8 in to one inch. As a teacher, I was kind of bummed!
Tanya @ Rantings of a Reading Addict
I am so ready for the cold to go away! The chilly temps and the dreary drizzle is making me stir crazy. It’s supposed to be another crappy week coming up and I’m just not in the mood for it.
Hope you have a great week!
Anne - Books of My Heart
I am looking forward to more spring temperatures also but it’s going to be winter temperatures this week here and below average winter temperatures even. And it’s our spring break!
I hope you love Exit Strategy as I did. I’m looking forward to seeing you at Book Bonanza.
PixiReads
I can’t wait for Spring either! Our 5 month old puppy keeps wanting us to go outside and play with him, but it’s just too cold, I can never be out with him as long as either of us would like to be outside.
Angela - Angel's Guilty Pleasures
Have a wonderful weekend and week ahead.
Kristin
Don’t change your sleep habits! Spring ahead time saving is coming up 😉
Sophie
Kimberly I hope for you that this endless winter will stop soon! With some sun maybe you’ll feel more energized! Have a great week.
Tanya @ Girl Plus Books
So exciting that you’re going to Book Bonanza! Wish it was a little closer but it’s just not in the cards this year. I’m in bed 9 pm almost every night. LOL
A Voracious Reader
I can only hope Spring will come without all the rain. We do not need April showers, for sure. I picked daffodils again this morning while walking the dogs. We don’t need any late arriving snow either. Here’s hoping your snow will melt away and not return for the rest of the year. So mote it be. 😀
Jennifer | Book Den
I let my guard down with the weather. LOL. I can’t wait for the warm weather to stick around.
Jan @ Notes from a Readerholic
I’m sure it’s really good for you to get lots of sleep right now, Kimberly. I hear you about wanting spring to get here [as I gaze at all our snow in the backyard].
You got good books this week. I hope you like them both a lot. W.R. Gingell is one of my favorite authors. I’m reading Exit Strategy. That’s such a good series.
Stay healthy and have a good week!
Michelle @Because Reading
So sad I couldn’t go with you all to book bonanza 🙁 So many people are going and it looks like so much fun!
It’s snowed more than I would have liked this week and going to get another storm today. Will this weather just stop already!! 🙂
Have a great week, Kim! Happy Reading! xx
Mary @StackingMyBookShelves!
Oh, Book Bonanza sounds amazing and I just checked it out and man what a fun time that looks like. Unfortunately, it will be during my finals week. I wouldn’t be able to. Maybe next year. I hope you have an AMAZING time! We are also getting snow and cold weather. I think we are going to get 4-8 inches today by me. We shall see. I have to do some hopping around and homework today! =)
Lover Of Romance
Yeah we have been getting some snow and rain this weekend, so I have just been relaxing indoors!!!
Yvonne
It’s been cold here too and now we are expecting a snow storm. Just in time for rush hour tomorrow. Ugh! Hope you enjoy your books. Stay warm!
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Yeah cold weather seems to be everywhere! LOL. I don’t mind it too much, but I’d rather pass on the snow!
Nice new reads too! Totally new to me ones! I hope you enjoy them all!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!

The weather sounds strange everywhere, we had a week of spring like weather this week and now this weekend it is grey and raining and winds almost feels like autumn. That’s neat you listened to another audiobook and managed to visit everyone. I hope you have a great week!
Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra
We’re so ready for Spring in this house too, but of course there is more snow and ice in the forecast for today. Thank goodness spring is at least in sight on the calendar.
Yay for booking your flight to Book Bonanza. That name is new to me, but with a name like Book Bonanza, I figure it has to be amazing, lol.
Have a great week!
Jolene Wilson
Stay warm and caffeinated and as always, read on.
Deb Nance at Readerbuzz
More cold weather! Oh my! C’mon, spring!
I hope you are feeling better each day.
Natalie @Natflix&Books
Spring can not come soon enough. We had some horrible weather this week, too, and are expecting more this weekend. I’m definitely ready for some sun and warmth. Happy reading!
Sam@wlabb
The snow finally got us in NJ, so I feel your pain. I think it’s supposed to warm up and then get really cold later in the week. I mean, it is winter, but I am so over it. Book Bonaza looks awesome. There are like a million authors scheduled too. Can’t wait to hear about it.
Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books
I hope you enjoy book bonanza! I’ve never been to a bookish convention and I’d quite like to attend one.
Melliane
I need to try wells books! Happy reading!
Ronyell (a.k.a Rabbitearsblog)
Good luck at Book Bonanza!
Evelina @ AvalinahsBooks
I also read less than I usually do in February. Was in a slump for more than a week! Not sure I’ve even been in one like that since becoming a blogger, since I basically didn’t read at all that week. It was most peculiar.
Ailyn Koay
we just escaped 40C heat, so i guess weather is bad for the both of us
Julie
14 books in the shortest month of a year!! And you are still one book behind in the challenge))) I guess, you will catch up))
Literary Feline
I think everyone in my house is looking forward to spring. I love the rain, but not having to drive in it. I recently read The Lost Girls in Paris and look forward to reading your review. I hope you have a great week, Kim.
Rachel
Hope you enjoyed Wild Country as much as I did, Kimberly! Stay warm! 🙂
Dani @ Perspective of a Writer
WOW! Super weather front… Sounds like you’re still recovering… It’s not happening swiftly anywhere unfortunately. Book Bonanza sounds like fun though!! Happy future plans <3
Siran
Spring in a couple weeks? There was once a snow storm in April.
Laura Thomas
The Book Bonanza sounds fun , Kimberly. The weather has been 70s and muggy here. Bare feet and AC and loving it. Spring is in the air:)
Greg
I’m sooo ready for spring! And go you- 14 books! That’s pretty good considering you’ve been under the weather! And yay for Book Bonanza!
Hope you have a great weekend Kimba!
Laurel-Rain Snow
Wow, you read more books than I did in February and I wasn’t sick! LOL.
Hope you get your energy back soon…and stay warm and cozy.
Michelle @ In Libris Veritas
You’re doing pretty good on your challenge…I’m 11 books behind, lol. I’ve been a disaster in the reading department this year.
Our weather has been very spring-like these past few days, but it’s going to sink back into winter sometime this week. I just want it to pick a season and stay there.
I hope you have a good day and enjoy your week!
