Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.  See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

Cold weather greeted us all week, and we are expecting below normal temperatures for the week ahead. This weekend has been downright frosty with more snow accumulation than forecasted. I am trying to get caught up, but still falling asleep super early. I am often lights out before 9 pm. Sheesh. Still, I managed to listen to an audio and visit everyone. I booked my flight for Book Bonanza and I’m looking forward to the event in August. In February I read/listened to 14 books. I am one book behind on my Goodreads challenge. Just a few weeks until Spring! I can hardly wait. Stay Caffeinated.

Kimba, I’m on the same page about winer. It’s been so much colder than usual, and sooooooo much snow. Bring on spring! Have a great week!

  2. Brandee @ (un)Conventional Bookworms

You got more snow than forecasted? We were having snowmageddon warnings and didn’t get near the foot they predicted. Not that I’m complaining. My kids were supposed to go skiing yesterday but my son came down with something so they didn’t go. That was fortunate considering there was an avalanche that covered I70 in an area where they’d have been. Woohoo for getting your plane tickets for Book Bonanza! I can’t wait to see you in Dallas!!! I hope you continue to heal, Kimberly. Have a great week!

  3. Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard

It will take a while to get your stamina back. Sleep is good for you when you’ve been sick! I hope the weather warms up for you soon, so you can enjoy sunny skies instead of all the snow. 14 books in a month is great, and you’ll catch up with your Goodreads goal in no time. Have a better week (I hope!) and may spring bloom soon.

There are weeks I go to bed earlier. It helps to restore some energy. I like the books you’ve been reading/listening and reviewing. I hope you start to get warmer weather soon. Enjoy your new books too. Happy Reading!

We are bracing for a couple of storms this week. I hope they will be the last ones. I am so ready for spring!!

  6. Lindsi

Our weather has turned chilly, too! It’s cold and rainy, and the temperature are supposed to continue dropping throughout the week — brr! I’m cold just thinking about it. I purchased a space heater for the kid’s play room, but I’ve been using it at my feet whenever I have a chance to sit down at the computer. Stay warm, Kimberly! Also, you’re in bed before 9?? I want that right now! My kids seem to get an extra burst of energy right before bedtime.

Yikes.. it’s still snowing? Crazy!! I’ve had to buy our little girl a new coat because it was already so warm and her winter coat was way to hot for her.
    14 books is pretty impressive!
Have a great week and happy reading!

Sounds like the weather (long winter?) is affecting your body rhythm. It was chilly here last night and it hasn’t rained really in forever…which is not good. I haven’t read anything close to 14 books this month but I’ve enjoyed the 2 I have read. Stay caffeinated.

  9. Stephanie @ Once Upon a Chapter

We’ve got a bit of a cold snap this morning and tomorrow. After that we’re supposed to be hanging out in the 30s. I can’t wait! We’ve got a sheet of ice from the freezing rain we got several weeks ago that can’t melt without the sun. Even the ice melt we put down is having a hard time with it!

Glad to hear you are on the mend. I think this kind of weather just lends itself to being in bed early. I know we go to bed much earlier than we normally do otherwise. Hope you have a great week!

Yep, we had a lion for our first few days of March, too. Winter is hanging on tightly. 🙂
That rest is probably a great healing agent for your body though it is probably annoying to conk out so early. 🙂
Ooh neat, you scored Exit Strategy.

    Have a great week, Kimberly!

  11. bookworm

You had a great reading month for February.
Hope it warms up soon there, we are expecting a snowstorm tonight here.
Happy reading! I’ve wanted to read Jim Butcher but never make the time.

  12. Tina

Our weather has been a little on the crazy side. The week before it snowed in the mountains and this week we were flirting with the 80s. I’m convinced this is how I ended up sick again.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

  13. PixiReads

I can’t wait for Spring either! Our 5 month old puppy keeps wanting us to go outside and play with him, but it’s just too cold, I can never be out with him as long as either of us would like to be outside.

  14. Kristin

Don’t change your sleep habits! Spring ahead time saving is coming up 😉

  15. Sophie

Kimberly I hope for you that this endless winter will stop soon! With some sun maybe you’ll feel more energized! Have a great week.

  16. A Voracious Reader

I can only hope Spring will come without all the rain. We do not need April showers, for sure. I picked daffodils again this morning while walking the dogs. We don’t need any late arriving snow either. Here’s hoping your snow will melt away and not return for the rest of the year. So mote it be. 😀

  17. Jan @ Notes from a Readerholic

I’m sure it’s really good for you to get lots of sleep right now, Kimberly. I hear you about wanting spring to get here [as I gaze at all our snow in the backyard].

You got good books this week. I hope you like them both a lot. W.R. Gingell is one of my favorite authors. I’m reading Exit Strategy. That’s such a good series.

Stay healthy and have a good week!

So sad I couldn’t go with you all to book bonanza 🙁 So many people are going and it looks like so much fun!

It’s snowed more than I would have liked this week and going to get another storm today. Will this weather just stop already!! 🙂

Have a great week, Kim! Happy Reading! xx

Oh, Book Bonanza sounds amazing and I just checked it out and man what a fun time that looks like. Unfortunately, it will be during my finals week. I wouldn’t be able to. Maybe next year. I hope you have an AMAZING time! We are also getting snow and cold weather. I think we are going to get 4-8 inches today by me. We shall see. I have to do some hopping around and homework today! =)

  20. Lola

The weather sounds strange everywhere, we had a week of spring like weather this week and now this weekend it is grey and raining and winds almost feels like autumn. That’s neat you listened to another audiobook and managed to visit everyone. I hope you have a great week!

  21. Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra

We’re so ready for Spring in this house too, but of course there is more snow and ice in the forecast for today. Thank goodness spring is at least in sight on the calendar.

Yay for booking your flight to Book Bonanza. That name is new to me, but with a name like Book Bonanza, I figure it has to be amazing, lol.

    Have a great week!

  22. Natalie @Natflix&Books

Spring can not come soon enough. We had some horrible weather this week, too, and are expecting more this weekend. I’m definitely ready for some sun and warmth. Happy reading!

  23. Sam@wlabb

The snow finally got us in NJ, so I feel your pain. I think it’s supposed to warm up and then get really cold later in the week. I mean, it is winter, but I am so over it. Book Bonaza looks awesome. There are like a million authors scheduled too. Can’t wait to hear about it.

14 books in the shortest month of a year!! And you are still one book behind in the challenge))) I guess, you will catch up))

  25. Literary Feline

I think everyone in my house is looking forward to spring. I love the rain, but not having to drive in it. I recently read The Lost Girls in Paris and look forward to reading your review. I hope you have a great week, Kim.

  26. Siran

Spring in a couple weeks? There was once a snow storm in April.

  27. Greg

I’m sooo ready for spring! And go you- 14 books! That’s pretty good considering you’ve been under the weather! And yay for Book Bonanza!

Hope you have a great weekend Kimba!

  28. Laurel-Rain Snow

Wow, you read more books than I did in February and I wasn’t sick! LOL.

Hope you get your energy back soon…and stay warm and cozy.

  29. Michelle @ In Libris Veritas

You’re doing pretty good on your challenge…I’m 11 books behind, lol. I’ve been a disaster in the reading department this year.
Our weather has been very spring-like these past few days, but it’s going to sink back into winter sometime this week. I just want it to pick a season and stay there.
I hope you have a good day and enjoy your week!
