Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.  See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

I visited everyone who commented last week! Wahoo. It felt good catching up with everyone. I am still falling to sleep super early and my reading is suffering, but the Royals and I are falling into a routine with my work during the day. I am feeling better, but haven’t regained my stamina. It will come. This week for Valentine’s Day I did a giveaway, don’t miss your chance to win. We stayed in for V-Day and ordered a pizza. We ate by the fire and caught up on TV; it was nice, but I fell asleep before 9. Snow fell this weekend, and I cleaned a little. Regretfully!  Not much else to report it was a quiet week.   Stay Caffeinated.

That sounds fun to eat by a fire. I have fond memories of my dad thrrowing in a Duraflame into the fireplace and my mum playing music in the living room.

It was freezing on Valentines day here so we basically had the same Valentine’s Day. Pizza, fireplace, good movies. I hope you make big gains in the energy department this week. Happy reading, Kimba.

  3. Jen

I’m with you! I too keep falling asleep and not getting in any reading time. I need to go on vacation – oh wait…. I am in a week! Woo hoo!

I’m going to have to check out Polaris Rising – you are the third person to mention receiving it this week. I hope you enjoy.

  4. Brandee @ (un)Conventional Bookworms

Ha! We had pizza and wine by the fire for V-Day. 😉 I’m happy you’re feeling better and I hope your stamina comes back quickly. I’m looking forward to seeing what you think of Polaris Rising. 🙂 Have a great week, Kim! <3

Sometimes it’s hard to bounce back. Your body may still need plenty of rest. I can relate to that. We had a quiet V day too.
Polaris Rising is a title I want to look at.
    Stay rested and Happy Reading!

I need a quiet week so badly! I still got two more weeks to go until things will calm down, it feels like February just won’t end 🙂

  7. Lorna

Let’s hear it for a quiet week! Seriously, I’m glad you are getting some good rest and feeling better. They keep predicting snow here and then we get little to none. Which I guess is the good news here, although Tuesday is the next snowmaggeddan here with 3-5 inches expected. It was 5-8 so we will see!

  8. Jolene Wilson

Glad you are feeling a bit better. I have been extra tired lately. Not sure if it is the weather or what!? Thanks for the giveaway chance.

  9. ShootingStarsMag

Sleep is always good. I hope you get your stamina back soon though!! I thought it was supposed to snow some this weekend where I live, but nothing yet…not that I’m complaining! LOL

Quiet weeks are gifts. Glad you’re catching up on your rest and getting back into the swing. Yesterday was errand day before the snow started and we went out to eat as a belated Valentine’s Day meal. I conked out early, too.
Ooh, Polaris Rising! That has caught my eye in some favorable reviews.

    Have a great week, Kimberly!

  11. Lover Of Romance

Sounds like you had a lovely Valentines Weekend, relaxing by the fire with your hubby is a good way to go!! 🙂 My parents always do something like that and do something special over the weekend away from the crazy people going out on V Day. But as long as you do something fun and relaxing–that is what counts. Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

  12. Sophie

Yes Kimberly I’ve seen that you visited! I am happy to see that you are feeling better. As you’ve said the stamina will come back. Have a wonderful Sunday!

  13. Michelle @Because Reading

Glad you are feeling better! The getting back to normal is hard after you are sick, we need those extra get back to normal days. lol

We had Tacos for valentines days. My husband and I really don’t celebrate we usually just hang with the kids 🙂

I hope this week is awesome for you Kim! Have a great week! Happy Reading! xx

Sounds like you are on the mend, Kim. After such a long bout of illness, the recovery/lethargy does take a while. So don’t feel too sad about sleeping early.
We’re supposed to see some snow next week and I don’t want!

  15. Sam

It’s great that it was a quiet weekend. Those are the best! Mine was pretty wild because my dog broke his nail…

  16. Stormi Johnson

I am glad it sounds like you are feeling a bit better, I am sure all the rest you are doing will help you mend. I swear this year and sickness is not grand as I got sick again. 🙁 Hope you have a great week!

That’s nice you got to visit everyone back last week. I always try to do that with my own Sunday Post, but can’t always manage. Glad to hear you’re doing a bit better even with you still falling asleep early and nice you’re settling into a routine with the royals and your work. Have a great week!

  18. Mary @StackingMyBookShelves!

I have to run out but just wanted to say hello. I am glad you are doing better. I have been working every minute I have on chemistry. Ughh this is not easy at my age. Have a wonderful week!

  19. Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra

I’m glad you’re starting to feel a little better. We had a quiet Valentine’s here too because of all of the sickness. I hope you enjoy your new reads. I keep hearing good things about Polaris Rising.

  20. A Voracious Reader

Sometimes (ok, most times for me) all you need is a quiet week. Glad you’re on the mend! Now don’t overdo it. I wouldn’t mind snow one more time, but we’ll probably not get it. I’m pretty sure you’re ready for flip flops. Amirite? 😀

  21. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Quiet weeks aren’t bad. Mine was pretty quiet for the most part too. Nothing exciting for me for Valentine’s Day which has been the norm for the past few years. Oh well. Hopefully if I get a new job that will open up my opportunities to meet people!

Nice new reads! I also picked up Polaris Rising this week! I kept reading reviews on it that made me convinced I’d enjoy it!

Hope you enjoy your newest additions!

Sounds like you had a great week! Your Valentine’s Day sounds like it was similar to mine, I too have been falling asleep super early just recently, kind of frustrating but I guess I need the sleep! Have a lovely Sunday!

  23. Michelle Gilmore

I’m glad you are feeling better again! I had a relaxing Valentine’s Day as well, definitely needed! We went out to get lunch, watched Bohemian Rhapsody, and played some D&D later that night.
I hope you have a great week this week!

  24. Greg

Glad you’re feeling better! Hang in there- it will come. Sounds like you had a nice relaxing Valentine’s Day. 🙂

I hope you like Polaris rising! I thought it was pretty good.
