I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I can’t believe this week rings in a New Year. I have taken my tree and holiday trimmings down and will sweep out 2018 to welcome 2019. We plan on a quiet evening and will go see a movie and welcome in the New Year at home.  Santa brought me a sinus infection but he waited until late Weds to deliver it so I at least got to enjoy 2 days of family and food before I got sick.  I am still unplugged but will rejoin the world next week! Stay Caffeinated.

Sorry to hear you were ill. Hope you don’t get the nasty flu that going around. It is nasty. I love quiet holidays and hope you enjoyed yours. Wishing you all the best for 2019! ?

Sorry to hear you got a sinus infection. I hope it passes quickly.
We’ll have a quiet New Year’s too. I have to start planning next year challenge posts.
Enjoy the rest of your week. Happy New Year and Happy Reading!

I hope you feel better soon. I might see a movie tomorrow or Tuesday – there are definitely a lot out that I want to see! Happy New Year!!!

  4. Kathy @ My Nook, Books & More

I hope you feel better. I was also sick during Christmas week and I was on vacation. It turned out ok since I had no plans so I just rested at home. I’m back to work on NYE but we get leave early lol. We are also going to watch a movie and celebrate at home with some takeout lol. I hope you have a great 2019!

  5. Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard

I’m sorry to hear about your sinus infection, and I hope you’ve got antibiotics and will soon be over it! I’m glad you had Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, at least. It’s a terrible time of year to be sick. Robin was sick, too, so we’ll be having a quiet New Year’s Eve as well.

I love your new hair cut and your new photo. So lovely!

Sorry to hear you got a sinus infection, but it sounds like you had a fun Christmas at least. We didn’t put up a tree this year, so it’s nice not to have to take it down. Have a great week!

  7. Sophia Rose

Oh yuck on the infection, but glad you had some good quality time first. We enjoyed our Christmas with hubby’s family on Christmas Eve and Skyped with mine Christmas afternoon. It was so mild on Saturday that we got an outdoor project done that made my hubby happy since it was more his to-do list item than mine. 🙂
Looking forward to 2019 and wishing you a fabulous New Year’s, Kimberly!

You already took the tree down? I will keep it for another two weeks because it’s just too pretty 😉 Now I hate sinus infection! Sinus is my weak spot working on A/C all the time and it gives me awful headaches. I hope 2019 brings you all that you wish for!

  9. Anne

I’m so sorry you got a cold, so did my daughter, in fact she hasn’t opened her presents yet because she feels punk. With odd holiday schedules and her cold, we haven’t jumped into the YMCA routine yet either. I’m sure enjoying the slow pace over the holiday before things swing into New Year gear though. I hoe you feel better and have a very Happy New Year! Anne – Books of My Heart

  10. Samantha

I hope that you start feeling better soon! A sinus infection is never fun! Enjoy your break and Happy New Year!!!

  11. Mary @StackingMyBookShelves!

I am sorry you are sick. I woke up this morning with a sore throat. Ughh just what I need. I go back for my third semester on Wednesday. Ughh. I feel like poop. I hope you feel better and Happy New Year!

We’re probably spending New Year’s Eve at home as well. My husband doesn’t have 1/1 off anyway so it just doesn’t make sense to try to go out. We usually just get champagne, rent a few movies, and play board games that night. I’m so sorry to hear that you’re not feeling well. I hope that you’re feeling better soon and wish you a happy and healthy 2019.

  13. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Yeah Santa decided I get to receive my cold on Christmas morning. Not fun at all. And I’m the only one who really enjoys the holiday in my family for whatever reason! Lol. Still sick too, so I’m not happy…or breathing properly!

Nice new reads! I’m really curious about Bloodleaf! Hope you enjoy the new reads and the holiday to come!

Sorry to hear about the sinus infection, Kim. At least it waited until after Christmas. 🙂 We started taking all the holiday decor down yesterday. As much as I enjoy it, it’s also nice to have the house back to normal. Hope you have a great week!

I’m taking my decorations down today. I like to have them put up before we ring in the New Year.

That wasn’t very nice of Santa! I hope you’re feeling better. I’m so ready for this year to be over. I hope you have a fantastic week, Kim!

  16. Gayathri

I am back from my holiday and I brought the cold virus with me. I hope it will get better on its own without the medicines. And am sorry that you are suffering too. I wish you have a great New year!

Sorry to hear about your sinus infection, Kimberly! I’ve been mostly unplugged for the last week, too. Didn’t mean to be, life just made it impossible to blog or do much reading. Hope you feel better and enjoy New Years!

  18. JJ @ This Dark Material

Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear about your sinus infection! ‘Tis the season, indeed. I hope you enjoy your movie night. Now that I’m much closer to 30 than 20, the hustle and bustle of a NYE out on the town doesn’t have much appeal, so I’m with you on a quiet celebration. Happy New Year!

Your New Year’s plans sound good. I always prefer quiet evenings of food, movies, and maybe some Champagne at midnight. Enjoy!

Have a great week of reading, too.

  20. Siran

I got sick three years in a row around the holidays. I got a humidifier and it made a huge difference. I am not swearing by it but it’s worth a go. Hope you feel better soon. Happy new year.

Your New Years plans sound pretty good! It’s going to be a quiet one around here too, Hope you feel better soon- boo to the sinus infection. 🙁
