I feel like the Grinch, but I know that Christmas will come without tags, packages, boxes or bags. I did get my tree up. Still need to decorate and I did manage to buy one gift. Thank you Amazon. Some happy news this week, the Royal Prince got his cast off. He feels so light now. He will need to relearn how to walk. Right now he walks as if the cast is still on. He really enjoyed his first bath. Stay Caffeinated.

I bet your grandson is having fun running about again. I have learned this year that shopping online during Black Friday/Small Business Saturday/Cyber Monday is a solid, good way to go because most of the time there is free S/H which saves me the headache of having to go into stores and waiting in line.
Karen
that must be so tough for a kid to need the cast and even after – relearning. I hope now that he’s got it off things are a little cheerier for you all.

You got your tree up!! Yay! so happy the Prince is cast free. I’m curious about the new Nora Roberts book. I’ll look forward to your review, Kim.
I was kind of bummed out at the bookstore the other day when I couldn’t find any of the Christmas romances you’ve reviewed here (or ANY at all). I will have to order on kindle.
Tanya @ Rantings of a Reading Addict
Oh he (as well as you all) must be so glad to have that cast off. At his age, he’ll revert back to walking right in no time! Christmas is coming fast and it’s hard to keep up with all that needs done. I should be cooking keto treats, but I’m saying the hell with it for Christmas day and pigging out on potatoes and stuffing! LOL
Melanie Simmons
Glad to hear the prince got his cast off. That couldn’t have been fun for one so young, but they tend to be pretty resilient. I hope you have a great week.
Tyler H. Jolley
I’m so glad the cast is off. I’ve seen in rehab patients where they have the patient walk backwards to relearn how to work and lose the limp they created. I know he’s still a toddler, so that might not be feasible.
Try to find some Christmas Spirit this Kimba, I know this is a difficult time but also your favorite time of year. I’m still sending you and your mom prayers.
S. J. Pajonas
I am so happy to hear the Prince got his cast off! How fabulous! I’m sure he’l be running and playing in no time. Thank goodness kids bounce back so easily. <3
sjhigbee
Glad to hear the Prince now has his cast off – I’m tempted to say ‘already?’, but I’m aware that you probably felt it had gone on for an eon… As for those Grinchy sentiments – small wonder you aren’t in the frame of mind for rushing around full of Christmas cheer right now. All I’ll say – though you probably know it already, given you’re a wise lady – is that the anticipation or lack of it doesn’t define how your Christmas will work out. Some of the best ones I’ve ever had were those I’d been dreading and certainly most of the worst ones were those I’d been really looking forward to… Hope you have a good weekx
Laura @ Library of Clean Reads
Your grandson must be happy now without the weight of that big cast. Thank goodness they are so resilient at that age! I have to check out your review of A Study In Scarlet Women. Enjoy your listening and reading week!
Carole @ Carole's Random Life in Books
I don’t do a tree anymore. We have a small house and 3 dogs. We did it when the kids were little but it is just not worth the hassle right now. I hope that the prince gets the hang of walking without the cast quickly. I am sure he will since kids seem to be pretty quick to adapt. Enjoy your new reads.
MarthaE
We got a tree up at the office but may not do one at home. Juggling so many things.
Glad the Royal Prince got his cast off. Hopefully his youth will help him to relearn quickly.
I like the look of your new books. I’m guessing Of Blood and Bone is the second book after Year One? I’ll have to check them both out.
Happy Reading/Listening!
ShootingStarsMag
Aw, I’m glad your grandson got his cast off, and I hope re-learning to walk won’t be too tough for him! I imagine he’s feeling quite better though.

Such good news about the cast! I am sure he will be back to normal in no time! I got off to a great start with everything Christmas, but now find myself a bit bah humbug, Probably due to a bit of a flare up.
Aj @ Read All The Things!
Yay, I’m glad Prince is free from his cast. I bought all of my Christmas gifts on Amazon. It’s so much easier than dragging myself to the store. Have a great week!
Christine
Oh I’m so glad he’s out of that cast! That must have been so hard for everyone — kiddo and adults!
Erin @ Cracker Crumb Life
Yay for your grandson!!
And I need to redo my post now lol – I just clicked over and bought Snowed in for Christmas and plan to read it this week. Lol.
Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books
I’m glad to hear that your grandson got his cast off! That’s a festive plus and there is still plenty of time to get in the festive spirit. At the end of the day, the season is about family and friends, not things.
Have a good week!
Andreea
Christmas is not in the tree or the gifts or the decorations, it’s about being kinder to the ones around and to ourselves too. I hope you will have a great week!
Lorna
We don’t put up a tree due to having cats that aren’t exacting the quiet types. I’ve got Blood and Bone to listen to. And I love your random!
Stephanie Jane (Literary Flits)
It’s so easy here – we don’t even own a tree or decorations any more!! We wandered into a local town to see their street decorations which are so pretty. The town, Tavira, had a large model Nativity scene too. Scale was a bit of a problem – cows were bigger than houses! but they had replicated a historic Portuguese village and the Wise Men were riding camels across a desert in the distance.
Lover Of Romance
Looks like you had a great week. I already got my Christmas Decor up though!! I love this time of year and get it up as soon as I can.
Lindsi
I’m sorry I double posted! I don’t know what I was thinking with that first entry. My mind was clearly elsewhere, and I’m not sure how to edit/delete and entry once it has posted.
We put our tree up yesterday! It had lights on it, but no other decorations. We also do crafts with this kids and then add those to the tree every year. Last winter we made snowmen on clothespins, trees out of cupcake wrappers, and reindeer out of cutouts from our hands! It’s always fun seeing what the kids come up with, and they love seeing their creations on the tree! I’m sure well eventually have more permanent decorations that we use every year, but for now we enjoy making our own. I also love the smell of pine in the house! We throw ours in a pond at the end of the year to create new habitats for the fish.
We’ve done all our shopping for the kids, because we pick things up months before and just hold on to them. As for the rest of our families — nothing. We always give books, but everything else is hard. It’s hard to know what people will want when you’re not around them every day. I hope you have a lovely week, Kimberly!

It has* lights
I’m sure we’ll*
decorations that we will*
See? My brain is malfunctioning today! I should go take a nap and retry when I wake up! 😉

Christmas will get there even if the decorations aren’t up. Yay for Prince Clayton out of his cast. LOL, bet that bath felt great.
The new Nora Roberts is on my radar, too.
Have a great week, Kimberly!
Danielle Hammelef
Love the warning sign for drivers! We need those around here.
Jolene Wilson
I am so over Christmas shopping. I think it ruins the season. My husband’s side drew names and I asked for donations to the animal rescue I work at. My daughter asked for canned goods so that will hopefully make me feel better. I have read Salt to the Sea by Ruta but not Ashes in the Snow. Is that the same book as Shades of Gray? I remember my daughter reading it in seventh grade and a massive email had to be sent out to parents because they thought the students were reading Fifty Shades of Gray. lol Have a great week.
Mary Kirkland
So glad to hear his cast is off. I just put my tree up yesterday. I wasn’t feel much holiday spirit until recently.
Michelle @ Life Among the Pages
So glad to hear the prince is no longer in the cast!
bookworm
Aw glad the cast is off. I’ll bet it’s a relief.
I know, there aren’t enough hours in the day for it all. I’m trying not to get overwhelmed myself. I did some online shopping but definitely need to get to the mall for a few other things. And it is soooo cold outside!
Happy reading, I need to review Heart-Shaped Box too, I finished re-reading that one a few months back. Off to read your thoughts on it.
Enjoy your week!
Kristin @ AddictedtoHEA
Our tree is “half” up so you’re doing better than us! And yes, I’m a true believer in Darwinisn all year long. This time of the year, though, I hide at home so I don’t become an unintentional victim to other’s ineptness. ESPECIALLY around here with all the Canadians coming over to Christmas shop o.O YIKES!!
LOVE and hugs…..
Anne
All you can do is what you can do. I find it might be in a different order than I would have chosen but it gets done. Good luck to the Prince. Anne – Books of My Heart
LORI CASWELL
We are still working on getting our tree up, but I have been shopping. Mr. Dollycas keeps procrastinating about the tree. .
Mary @StackingMyBookShelves!
I am a Grinch right now. I have finals (no time to study) so much going on in my personal life, kids, hubby. We just got our tree and they all expect me to decorate it. I told them no. I have finals and an Essay to do for a final for one class. No WAY, I am wasting my time on that. I am too busy. Ughh I just wish this week was over. PLUS, my daughters birthday party is Saturday. Everyone expects everything from me at once and right now I can’t do it.
Sorry – stressing over here.
Mary

I’m so glad to hear the Little Prince got his cast off. Hopefully he’ll adjust quickly to life without it. I hope you’re starting to feel better as well.
Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer
I’ve had most of the Christmas shopping finished. I wasn’t going to put a tree this year, but I ended up doing so anyway.
Darlene
Yay! It seems like the time with the cast flew by, although it probably didn’t for him. Hope he gets back to his normal self soon! Have a good week
Evelina @ AvalinahsBooks
I’m glad to hear the little one is finally free of the cast and feeling well. Have a great week!
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Glad the Little Prince is doing better now! I think I might have twisted my ankle some weeks ago because it was always so sore, it’s starting to feel better finally and I feel like I’m learning how to walk again without limping! Lol.
Hope the Christmas spirit comes for you a bit! But yay for the tree being up! Hope you have fun decorating it too!
Nice new reads! New to me ones but I hope you will enjoy them all! Happy Reading this week!

I’m so glad to hear the little Prince is out of his cast! That has to be a huge burden eased for all of you!!
Have a good week!
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookworms
I bet everyone is relieved the cast is off for the royal Prince! And I can imagine taking his first actual bath in weeks must have felt like heaven. I hope his walking progress will be swift.
I have a few presents, we don’t have a tree yet, but Mr. Lex has decorated a little bit for Christmas. I’m just so busy it’s impossible to get those things done.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading xoxo
A Voracious Reader
I’ve almost got my shopping done. I think. Once Amazon and other places deliver everything I’ll need to lay it all out and make sure it’s all even. Even as adults they need the same number of presents. sigh lol
Yay for Prince Clayton and the cast removal! He’ll relearn walking in no time. {{{big hugs}}} I hope you have a great week, Kim!
Angela Adams
Glad to hear” The Little Prince” is doing well. Have a good — and caffeinated — week!
Jan @ Notes from a Readerholic
I’m so glad to hear the Royal Prince got his cast off. So hard when the little ones are hurt or having to tote around a cast. Good luck getting decorations and other holiday things you want to do done.
Have a good week, Kimberly!
Lola
I don’t have my tree up yet and not sure if we put it up. But I did finish all my Christmas shopping already, which is nice. Nice you got your tree up already. And that’s good news the prince his cast got off. Have a great week!
Tanya @ Girl Plus Books
I am very consciously trying to slow down and do less this Christmas. I keep telling myself it doesn’t *all* have to get done. I don’t have to attend every event, make everything from scratch, and have the house looking magazine-ready. It’s actually helping somewhat. I truly want to relax and enjoy more instead of staying stressed out and missing it all. Hope you can enjoy it, too… regardless of what gets done or not.
Siran Toukhanian
Amazon was how i got my shopping done the last two years. Good to hear the the little guy is better.
Natalie @Natflix&Books
I still have a few more presents to buy, but am almost done. Yay for the cast removal! Ashes and Snow looks good. I didn’t realize she had a new one. Happy reading!
Irena BookDustMagic
Ohh, I know what you’re talking about, I also have to buy more gifts, more then one, actually. I keep putting it off because I am to lazy to go to the mall.
I hope Royal Prince will walk and run with no problems pretty soon.
Melliane
That’s two new books for me but I hope you’ll have a good time with them. Happy reading!
Tânia @MyLovelySecret
Those are great news. Good to hear he took the cast off. I hope he re-learns how to walk quickly.
Wishes of a good week.

The Grinch is an all time favorite character of mine. I’m totally going to see the new movie. I just got some free movie tickets as a tip for driving Grub Hub. GO me! Have a great week, Kim.
Sam@wlabb
That was quick! Probably not for the prince, but that is great that the cast is off. They are the worst! I have little shopping done. I just can’t find anything I like. –sigh– Good luck with your shopping.
Michelle Gilmore
I’m feeling grinch-y too, though to be honest I do every year. The holidays are hard for me for a few reasons. I do hope you’re season improves though. I’m glad the Prince has his cast off! I bet it’s just a relief not to have to have that extra hurdle during this busy season.
JJ @ This Dark Material
We put our tree up today too, but it still needs lights. I have a feeling Amazon will be a very good friend to me in these last few weeks before Christmas. Hope you have a wonderful week!
Rachel @Waves of Fiction
Oh, the Royal Prince! I’m sure he’ll be running in no time. Good luck!
Online ordering is a gift this time of year! No lines or battling for parking spots!
It’s been a busy week, right? I need to check out your review of A Study in Scarlet Women. I’m pretty sure I read it (too lazy to check at this hour) and liked the whole Sherlock Holmes as a lady part, but I think I was a little let down by the romance? Like I said, I need to check. Hope you enjoyed it, Kimberly.
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
Oh, I’m sure the Prince and everyone else are relieved to have that cast off! As for Christmas, your are right. It doesn’t have to be a big production; Christmas will come just the same. I wish you a relaxed lead-up to Christmas, with a minimum of stress and a maximum of joy.
Dani @ Perspective of a Writer
I’m so glad his cast is off!! Poor tyke, glad to hear he’s all better even if he has some relearning to do. I think we may all be behind on Christmas… it’s not just you Kimberly. 😅
Tressa @ Wishful Endings
I’m so glad he got it off. That felt quick, but I’m sure it didn’t feel that way to you guys. I hope some Christmas spirit sneaks in there and this month ends up being a good one. 🙂

Oh, good news about the Royal Prince. And I love ordering things from Amazon, and my family members are happy with the gift cards. Easy shopping!
Have a great week.

I am glad he is off his cast and that your celebrations started off well. Take care.

Great news about the Prince! I bet he’ll be running before you know it. And I love that random gif. LOL
Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library
Oh I’m so glad he got his cast off! I imagine that bath did feel like heaven. Yay for getting your tree up! We got our stuff up last weekend but only because I knew I was going to be out of town this weekend and busy next weekend. I’ve been sick for so long it about killed me! I hope the grinch mood fades and if it doesn’t maybe you can do a Grinch movie binge. Have a great week!
Greg
Glad to hear the Prince is on the mend! 🙂 Just in time for the holidays.
The tree is up here too but no decorations yet, just lights lol. And I need to start shopping soon- Amazon will be my friend I’m sure.
