Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.  See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

It was another week of rain and strange temperatures. Today we are taking the Royals to Vala’s Pumpkin Patch. Mr. Caffeinated’s work hosts this event and the site is not yet open to the public. Train rides, pony rides, pumpkins and more await us. The sign up for #FraterfestRAT is up. I am in need of a few challenge hosts if you’d like to get in on the fun. We started watching Jack Ryan on Prime and tuned in to the first NFL game. Our Eagles won but it was messy. Hope you have a wonderful week! Stay Caffeinated!

I just adore fall time and I can’t believe its time for pumpkin patches and football season. Glad your team won. I am more of a college football fan, I follow more players in the NFL over one team since I don’t live in a place near a PRO team.

  2. Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library

Oh we need to head to the pumpkin patch this year! The past few years we’ve always gone with the Tornado’s school but it looks like he’s too old for that now field trip-wise. Jack Ryan looks really good and how can I not watch something that has Jim in it?? Have a great week!

  3. K. Elizabeth

We’re preparing for Hurricane Florence to hit in my area. So far today we’ve just gotten some rain and a little wind. Keeping my fingers crossed that we don’t end up without power or any tree damage. I did stock up on lots of books from the library for me and the kids. So, we’ll have some entertainment if we do lose power.

Oh you’re all getting ready for Halloween! We don’t have Halloween here so I’m just going to continue reading books and watching Kdramas as usual ?

  5. Stefanie

The pumpkin patch outing sounds fun. I remember those days. There is a farm called Lemos Farm in Half Moon Bay that is Halloween all year around. There are pony rides and a train ride, + a little playstructure area. Many preschools go there in the fall. I need to remember to pick up pumpkins for my dames to carve.

  6. MarthaE

Pumpkin patch already? Sounds like a fun day.
Foundryside sounds good. I will look at it more at Audible.
I hope to do the FraterFest with some of my TBR titles – finally. I am sure I have some ghostly and horror titles.
Now I am off to check out your thoughts on Owlmen.
    Happy Reading!

ooo I bought squash to bake. And I did make sweet potatoes with our chicken the other night. The only pumpkin I make is pumpkin muffins. But it’s stayed near or into the 90s here yet. Enjoy that cooler weather.

Robin loved Foundryside and I ordered up the audio from the library. Anne – Books of My Heart

How fun you get to go to this pumpkin patch before it opens to the public. I hope the kiddoes have a great time – and you too!! I don’t mind the cooler weather, but I’d like the rain to go away. I’m just thankful I don’t have the really bad Hurricanes.

We haven’t been to a pumpkin patch in years. I hope you enjoyed it. I want to go apple picking soon. Have a great week. I have lots to do and reviews to read.

I am behind on writing my reviews too Mary and foolishly thought I would do them tonight..but this Nonna is pooped. I will be vegging instead.

  10. Angela

Oh what fun, pumpkin patch. That will be a blast with the Royals.
Have a great week and happy reading!

  11. Lola

We had some rain here too, but also some sunny parts, which were nice. I hope you have with the royals at the pumpkin patch. It sure is starting to feel like autumn. I hope you have a great week!

  12. Jolene Wilson

I have just started seeing Pumpkins for sale around here. And our weather is finally in the 70s so it is starting to feel like fall. I am excited for your two reading challenges!

    • Kimberly

I had the original Oasis Kindle and loved it. When the new one came out I upgraded and sold mine to a fellow blogger. But the new one is bigger and heavier. It’s harder for me to hold. It was depressing. I even watched for used ones of the original. Amazon just started selling them again so I bought it. I love that the new one is waterproof and larger memory.

  13. LORI CASWELL

After the tornadoes and bad storms last week, we had a nice quiet week this week 🙂 I am looking forward to the Packer Game tonight!

  14. Melissa (My World...in words and pages)

Oh. Our weather took a drastic turn over night. Friday was backing and Saturday was chilly with rain. It’s like we went from dead of summer to dead of fall over night. Brrrr.

I do look forward to the pumpkin patch visit though. 🙂 Have a great week!!

  15. Ceri

Oooh, I always wondered what it would be like to go to one of those pumpkin patch places. I don’t think we have them on this side of the pond.

  16. Sophie

Congrats for the Eagles! And I so want to read Grace Draven’s book but the giveaway is US only! Damn. I guess I’ll have to buy it LOL. Happy Sunday!

  17. A Voracious Reader

Is it Pumpkin Patch time already?! Yikes. This year is flying by, but that’s ok. I’m ready for it to be over. I hope the rain stays away so you can have fun!

    • Kimberly

Right. As I said we get to go pre-opening day for my husband’s company. It is a lot of fun, but a family of 4 going there without food coupons and free tickets would need to get a second mortgage. It is so overpriced.

  18. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Our temperatures are going down slowly, but surely. I wish it was cooler quicker though! Upper 80s is still too warm for my taste, but at least we’re still under 90! Lol! The pumpkin patch visit sounds like fun! I always used to love going there!

Nice new read too! It’s totally new to me but I hope you will enjoy it!

    Here’s my STS

    Have a GREAT day!

Oooh, have fun at the pumpkin patch! That’s cool that you get to access it before it’s open to the public for the season. And yay that you were able to get Foundryside on audio. I look forward to seeing what you think of it. Hope you have a great week!

  20. trin carl

Yay pumpkins! Reminds me of Halloween and haunted Houses. I always look forward to this haunted house in Chisago City every year. The actors have you climb down a black hole-Can you imagine?!

  21. Yvonne

The pumpkin patch sounds like fun. I’m sure you will all have a great time. Your weather sounds like ours. We started watching Jack Ryan and liked it, but then we switched to the second season of Ozark. Eventually we will get back to Jack Ryan. Hope you have a great week!

  22. Sim @ Flipping Through the Pages

Pumpkin patches sound like fun. It’s the season of Halloween. I am so jealous of you guys everywhere because we don’t have anything like Halloween or Pumpkin picking here 😛

Last month it was raining a lot here too, but it’s a little warmer this month. But I am glad that weather is under control. 🙂
    Have a lovely week.

    • Kimberly

We have sunshine today and I am grateful. Yes, you can smell autumn hoovering in the air here. We’ve been lucky to live near farms most of our lives.

  23. RO

I’ve started seeing pumpkin patch displays all over the place, and love that the kids will be able to have fun. I’m a Dallas fan, but I still had to tune in to the Eagles 1st game, and at the half, I was thinking uh oh. But they sure turned it around for the win! I fell in love with Jack Ryan and binged on it last week. Great series, and already looking forward to Season 2. Happy Sunday and Hugs…RO

  24. Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books

I’ve never been to a pick your own pumpkin patch but got really excited when I found out there’s a pick your own opening up near me this autumn so we’ll be giving it a try.
    I love autumn!
I bet the Royals had so much fun. 🙂 Have a great week!

Pumpkin patch season sounds fantastic! I hope you guys have a blast! I just finished Foundryside last week and absolutely loved it, really want to see what you think of it! Fraterfest sounds like a blast and I can’t wait to see any challenges and will definitely have to start picking up a bunch of spooky books, comics, games, and movies!

    • Kimberly

Yay I am glad you enjoyed it. Fraterfest should be a blast. So far we’ve got a fun instagram challenge and I am working on one as well.

  27. Greg

Ooh pumpkin patches- yup it’s getting to be that time of year. 🙂 And yay for football!

FraterFest sounds like it’s gonna be lots of fun. 🙂
