Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

This was a fun week of posts, and while my funky mood kept me from replying to everyone, I did manage to visit those who stopped by. When I was not working or watching the Royals, I curled up reading or listening to audiobooks. I feel like a caterpillar in a cocoon and look forward to emerging. Hopefully into a butterfly. I visited my doctor on Friday, and he ran some tests to make sure there isn’t a medical cause for the blues. Be sure to enter both international giveaways located in the sidebar <3 Hope the week ahead is an awesome one for you.  Stay Caffeinated!

I hope you’re feeling better! Those blues can be rough. There was an Agatha Christie mystery where a victim had been very depressed and they said “Well she was getting over the flu” like that that’s a well known cause for depression. Maybe it could be connected for you? Happy blogoversary! I hope you’re having a lovely week.

  2. Daniela Ark

oh sorry again for being so behind with my comments Kim! Happy Belated Blogiversary! I love that caterpillar metaphor! It seems you relaxed and did what made you happy! 🙂 Hope the doctors find a way to help you soon

  3. Brandee @ (un)Conventional Bookworms

I hope the blues leave you soon, Kimberly. I always feel down this time of year – with the start of school. 🙁 Keep enjoying the Royals and good books! And thanks for the mention. 😉 Sending BIG virtual hugs!!

  4. Tanya @ Rantings of a Reading Addict

Loved your “Seven” posts this week. They were a lot of fun and I agreed with so many of them! I’m sorry you’re stuck with the blues. Take care of yourself. It gets so hard to do a lot of the things we love when the blues strike. Chilling out with your books is a good way to try and get it to dissipate. That is what I did Saturday when I felt it take hold of me. I got a lot of reading done which actually left me feeling pretty good.

So sorry to hear you’re still feeling down and I hope the dr can get to the bottom of you problem. Hope the reading helps! Lovely set of posts last week, which I really enjoyed. Take carex

  6. MarthaE

Don’t know why but the song lyrics “Wash those blues right out of my hair” came to mind – although its supposed to be “wash that man:! Anyway – I hope you move on past the funk.
Your celebration posts look like fun and I am about to go visit one or two.
Maybe you’ll find a book to listen to that will help you.
    Happy Reading/listening!

  7. ShootingStarsMag

Sorry to hear you’ve been in a bit of a funk. If it is medical, hopefully your doctor can help you out! I hope you have a lovely week. 🙂

  8. Angela

I hope you are feeling better. The blues are never fun, though curling up with a good book or audio sounds nice. Happy Blogoversary!

  9. Tizzy

Sorry, you’re still feeling down but I’m glad you’re ruling out a medical issue. My fluctuating moods once turned out to be a vitamin D deficiency. I’ve been a bit ‘meh’ this week but I think it’s just a stage that will pass soon hopefully. Congrats on your blogoversary, by the way.

  10. Lynn

I hope you’ll feel better soon! I’m in a funky mood as well this week, I don’t really want to do anything, so I just ended up binge watching Korean dramas…

  11. Sophia Rose

Glad you had a good week of work and Royals and reading, but sorry you’re feeling the blues.
The Ilona Andrews is on my list when I get caught up on my late summer reading.

    Have a good week.

  12. Northwoman

Curling up and reading in a cocoon sounds amazing! Everyone needs that some days. I hope you feel less funky other days. I’d like to curl up this week. But I have a fairly high energy week ahead with working 4 days, med appts and the usual household stuff. And reading. I’d really like to get out in the yard and pick up the sticks from the rain this past week but I needed sleep more. I went to bed at 9, after working 9 hours yesterday, and slept til the alarm went off at 8am. I think I could have slept longer. But I don’t feel sleep which is good I have to be at work in an hour. 13. Samantha

Sorry you are feeling so blue! Hopefully it passes this week. I know what its like to have a period of blues-makes it difficult to do anything! Sometimes, just getting out of bed is too much. Happy Blogiversary! 7 years is amazing!

Well I hope your “blues” will have nothing to do with health problem really! And thanks for the giveaways!

  15. The Bookworm

I hope all is well. And yes pumpkin spice everything is coming soon. I’m excited for the 2018 HoHoHoRAT, I have one book set aside for that already. Enjoy your week 🙂

  16. Darlene

Yay for pumpkin spice everything!! LOL! Hard to believe that autumn is just around the corner.

I’m glad that you got things checked out just to make sure something isn’t wonky with your bloodwork, and I hope that you’ll soon be feeling back to your usual self! Those books are all new to me, enjoy!

Sending {{{posivibes}}} that will hopefully sweep away the blues. I’m trying to shake mine. That pumpkin spice thing could also say Halloween stuff because that shit’s been out for a few weeks now. Like, what?! I love Halloween, but in Aug? No. Yeesh. I hope you have a non-blue week, Kim!

  18. Jolene Wilson

Thanks for stopping by last week. Did I convince you to read a dog book lol. Hope you feel better this week. This time of year is a bit depressing if you ask me. Summer is ending, the yard looks terrible, pollen in the air, and we are just all waiting for crisp fall air, pumpkins, and pretty leaves.

  19. Deb Nance at Readerbuzz

Depression can be a serious thing. I’ve had bouts of it during my life. Some of the things that have helped me have been walking, getting some sunshine, talking to people, and getting out of my head. I hope the doctor can offer a good solution.

  20. Lola

I hope you’ll get out of your funk soon. It’s not fun when you’re feeling like that, but that’s nice you got some listening done. I’ll check out your giveaways next. I hope you’ll have a good week!

  21. Jan @ Notes from a Readerholic

Sorry you’re feeling funky, Kimberly. I hope your doctor can help and that you feel better soon. I find reading one of the best things I can do when I don’t want to (or can’t) do anything else. I’m glad you’re still reading and listening to audiobooks.

I saw ceramic jack o’lanterns at the grocery store last night! I did a double take when I saw them! I love fall, but I’m not a fan of fall pushing into summer.

I’m glad I’m feeling like doing the Sunday Post again. It’s always fun to see what you and others are doing .

Sorry to hear you’re still dealing with the blues, Kim. I hope it goes away as suddenly as it came on.

I had to laugh at that random pic because just last week at the store I saw my first pumpkin flavored item of the year. And so it starts! 🙂

I hope that the doctor is able to find some relief for you and that you can bounce back soon. Perhaps the down mood is worsened by being physically sick for so long lately? Anyway, good luck with finding your way back. I’m very familiar with this problem myself 🙁

I had to laugh about pumpkin spice coming soon! I mentioned the very same thing on my blog today. The stores keep moving it up earlier and earlier. It used to be closer to October, now end of August is considered Autumn. The heavy clothes are crowding out the summer apparel in stores. Oh well, let’s go with the flow.

I’m reading Bellewether this week too and look forward to the guest review on your blog. Have a better week!

  24. Michelle @Because Reading

Sorry to hear you are in a funky mood. I hope the Doctor is able to help. I was in a mood the last few months and figured out it was more of a depression, it sucked but figured out a way to help myself. I am feeling much better now. I hope you slump passes. Sometimes writing down how you feel helps, it did for me.

Need to write down the dates for HoHoHo….I love that challenge, maybe this time I wont fail it! 🙂 lol

Have a great week, Kim! Hope you feel better! Happy Reading! ox

  26. Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books

I’m so excited for the Pumpkin Spiced everything to hit! Autumn is my favourite.

Sorry to hear you’re still in a slump. Fingers crossed all is well with the doc and that it passes quickly getting you back to normal. 🙂

  27. Ceri

Happy Blogoversary! I’m sorry to hear you’re still not quit feeling yourself. I think it’s normal to grow through things like this. We all have our ups and downs, and sometimes the downs stay around for longer than we’d like. I do hope you start to feel better soon. Sending love.

  28. Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookworms

I’m glad your doctor is looking into the mood, Kim. And I hope you’ll feel better very soon – it’s very tiring to have the blues.
Thanks so much for linking to Brandee and me! We’re so excited about our new blog, and it’s nice to see that other bloggers are as well.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  29. Sam@WLABB

I used to associate fall with pumpkin everything, coffee being my top want, but then they started selling it all year. It sort of ruined the anticipation for the fall, but I will still look forward to better weather. Hope you are feeling better.
