My favorite things to read in the summer are something light like contemporary romances. Something like Debbie Macomber, Hope Ramsey, Susan Mallery, etc.

  2. Dawn obrien

Any thriller books to give you a chill and cool you down! Especially Jack Jordan before her eyes

  3. Victoria

Forgot my recommendation, I like contemporary romances for summer reading. I think my favorite this summer was The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang (although it came out at the end of May). And I can read Ilona Andrews any time, so Iron and Magic was fab as well – I want to get it on audio for a re-read.

  4. Diane Sallans

I just got Rhys Bowen’s latest Royal Spyness story – Four Funerals and Maybe a Wedding

  5. Rita Wray

I recommend Lighthouse Beach by Shelley Noble and The High Tide Club by Mary Kay Andrews.

  6. Sophia Rose

I love the theme of this hop. I got a few lazy days in and spent them reading some good ones. I’m pretty sure you’ve already read any summer recs I could give you. 🙂 I’m getting ready to start Ghosted by Rosie Walsh and hoping its a good summer rec. LOL

I don’t normally read Nora Robert’s mysteries, I like her paranormal stuff better but I just read Shelter in Place and it was fantastic. It gave me chills and it was emotionally. So glad I decided to pick it up.

Can’t believe summer is almost over, I’m so sad!
    Thanks for the giveaway Kim!

  8. Rita @ View From the Books

Thanks for another chance for a giveaway this week! I’ve read a rather eclectic list of books this summer so far. Here’s one extreme to the other…
For a lightweight humorous book with ultra-short chapters that can be read in small bursts of time, I recommend the new Lisa Scottoline & her daughter Francesca’s essays in I See Life Through Rose’-Colored Glasses. Then I turn to dark thrillers. I recommend Snap by Belinda Bauer if your mood turns to creepy reads 🙂

Of course any book by Elin Hilderbrand, Mary Kay Andrews, or Wendy Wax screams summer beach-read to me!

  9. John Smith

“Recommend a summer read!” “Hell Divers.” It’s a space-western thrill ride!

  10. Anne

Anything by Carly Phillips, who I knew about and read long before Kelly Ripa.

Anything from Anne Rice is really good I have read her vampire and witch series

  12. Jessica @ a GREAT read

I’ll probably be gushing over this one for ages….but Echoes by Alice Reeds! A perfect summer read and great for fans of LOST! It was a deeply intriguing mystery/suspense kind of read and I am dying for more of it!

  44. Leah Shumack

I read Now that we’re adults in the beginning of summer and thought it was a really good read!

  45. Lindsay A.

I’m currently working my way back through the Harry Potter books for some fun reading at the gym… so that would be my recommendation! 🙂
