Ooh yay for vacation! Hope you guys have a good one when it rolls around next week. Sounds like you’re feeling a lot better, and sunshine is always good. It finally feels like summer!

Hope your weekend’s going well 🙂

    • Kimberly

I do well when the weather warms up. This is why you will never hear me complain about the heat. My joints don’t ache nearly as bad and my immune system gets a boost 🙂

  2. Laurel-Rain Snow

Enjoy the beach! I need to get away to the coast, too.

Your books look good…I also have The Death of Mrs. Westaway, and hope to read it soon. Have a great reading week.

    • Kimberly

We are going to the beach, visiting historical sites we haven’t toured since our youth, attending a baseball game and more.

    • Kimberly

Yes! Most of my life we lived close to the ocean or in beach towns. We’ve spent the last 12 years landlocked and I hate it.

  3. Sam@WLABB

A phrase I aspire to utter someday – I am going on vacation. My last 3 “vacations” were used to move my daughter around. Maybe next year, we will actually go somewhere. Interested in seeing how the Helen Hunting book is. She is hit or miss for me, but I have really enjoyed some of her books. I hope you have a wonderful vacation!!!

I listened to the first three, but it didn’t stick. However, I love her series set in NOLA, so I will try her vamps again.

    • Kimberly

Yes, Tucker is an auto-buy here. I am looking forward to unplugging. I love the Royals and the PR business but taking a break always recharges me.

  4. Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books

I hope you enjoy Part-Time Lover! That’s on my TBR at the moment, it looks awesome. I’m also excited to read the Chloe Neill one but I’m just about to start book 4 of the Chicagoland Vamps so it’ll be a while before I’m ready for that one… Although probably not that long to be honest! lol
I hope you enjoy your holiday when it arrives. 🙂

Have fun enjoying the anticipation of your vacation! You must be feeling pretty good about now. We too always lived within driving distance of the coast. Now we’re about 45 minute drive from beach here in Maine, but five minute drive from the lake. Hope to do both this summer– we’re still in the throes of old house repair, lol!

  6. RO

It always seems like so much starts happening right before vacation doesn’t it?(lol) I’ve been doing lots of iced coffee and green tea myself, and getting it lots of reading in an attempt to catch up. I sure hope your week is amazing! Hugs…RO

  7. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Oh nice! I read Wild Hunger last month I believe and it was really good! I loved the Chicagoland Vampire series and glad to see the world living on in this new spinoff! Hope you enjoy all your reads and have a great vacation next week! I have a mini one coming up in two weeks and am sooooo looking forward to it!

    Here’s my STS

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

    • Kimberly

Thanks Angela. I didn’t quite love the first 4 Chicagoland books on audio, however I love her series set in NOLA so I will try this new spinoff.

  8. Lola

Glad to hear you’re enjoying the sunshine! It sure seems that all the new books come at once sometimes. I hope you’ll have a great vacation!

  9. A Voracious Reader

I hope you have a great vacation! I’m heading to Ohio on the 18th to visit my parents for a week. Then we’re going back on July 9th. Lots of traveling in my future.

  10. Anne

I’ve read or will be reading some of your new arrivals. I’m headed out for just a couple days now. Hopefully it won’t rain all the time. Happy reading and relaxing! Anne – Books of My Heart

  11. Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra

Your totally random made me LOL! And yay for the upcoming vacation. I hope you have a wonderful time!

I also can’t wait to see what you think of The Death of Mrs. Westaway. Have a great week!

  12. Ceri

I love that coffee meme lol. I know what you mean about wanting to beach. The sun has finally arrived here and all I want to do is sit outside and read. 🙂

    • Kimberly

While I spend hours outside daily beside a kiddie pool, it will be nice to sit and take in the water without disruption.

  13. Jolene Wilson

When it rains (b00ks) it pours right? The same thing happens with me at the library. All the books I have on hold seem to come in all at once Have a great vacation and thanks for the giveaway.

  14. Mandy

Sounds like a great week. I’ve not started on the Iced Coffee yet but suspect it’s going to become popular as it heats up here. Looks like you’ve got a great pile of new books. I can’t wait for the new Chloe Neill book. I hope you enjoy your week. Happy reading.

    • Kimberly

I still do regular coffee all morning and after dinner, but that two o’clock I need a nap wall is saded by iced coffee.

  15. Pixireads

Hope you have a very relaxing vacation. I have one myself coming up and I know I’m looking forward to the relaxation.

  16. sjhigbee

I know what you mean! Glad you have a holiday within touching distance – going away for a couple of days gave me a seriously-needed break from routine so I really hope you enjoy your vacation and get a chance to get lost in some cracking reads and fully unwind:).

  17. Berls

Enjoy your vacation! I go on a fitness retreat on Friday and cannot wait 🙂 I don’t do iced coffee (no coffee for this girl in any form… yuck! I know, I know… lol!) but I’ve been drinking a lot of Iced Chai 🙂 And boy do I know what you mean about kiddos with energy! I’m so ready for my break and some time away from high energy kiddos. Love my job, but I need a refresher. Have a great week 🙂

    • Kimberly

tea is good, and I like iced tea. As long as you are getting a steady supply of caffeine. Wait is chai decaffeinated? *shivers*

      • Berls

Lol it has caffeine. About 3 cups of Chai tea = 1 cup of coffee for caffeine content. But I can’t do a lot of caffeine. It makes me jittery.

  18. Sophia Rose

How fun counting down the days until your trip! Oh wow, yeah, you did get a pile, didn’t you. I look forward to seeing what you think for a few of those.

Hopefully, you’ll get all your last minute stuff done and have a good launch to your trip. 🙂

  19. Literary Feline

I hope you have a wonderful time at the beach, Kim. We don’t go as often as we could given how close it is. I hope you enjoy all your new books. They look amazing. The Death of Mrs. Westaway seems to be getting lots of praise as of late. It’s hard not to want to read that one too! Wild Hunger has caught my attention too. Enjoy your week, Kim!

  20. Angela

Have a wonderful vacation. You sure did get a lot of great books for you haul. I hope you enjoy them! Happy Reading!

  21. Whitney@Shooting Stars Reviews

Oh, the beach sounds like fun! I hope you have a good vacation. I’ve been thinking about reading that series by Chloe Neil, but I’m not sure if I want to. I haven’t finished Chicagoland Vampires, yet, I need to do that. Too much to read, and too little time to do it. 🙂 Have a good week and a great vacation!

    • Kimberly

I’ve only read the first 3 Chicagoland books and gave up. However, I love her UF series set in NOLA, so I will give this a try.

  22. Nise'

A vacation! It is always nice to unplug. I Flipping Love You was a cute read. Looking forward to the new K.A. Tucker.

    • Kimberly

Thankfully I have a good base from playing outside with the Royals (grandchildren) I tend to tan easily. My children hate me.

    • Kimberly

Oh no. I am sorry. With watching the Royals and working from home, I find vacation a must for my mental well being. It is so easy to work all hours of the day for clients and of course the Royals wear me out.

  23. MarthaE

Glad you are getting ready for vacation time. You have plenty of good books to take along!
Love your Random image – fun as always. Happy Reading!

  24. Bookworm Brandee

Almost snorted coffee out my nose when I read the quote about not being able to make everyone happy because I’m not coffee. LOL Glad you’re enjoying some sunshine, iced coffee, and those adorable Royals! And a beach vacation sounds incredible. It’s been a wild ride over the last several weeks for me – getting kiddos off for the summer endeavors, traveling to get them there…*sigh* I’m tired and summer hasn’t even started! I hope you have a wonderful week! Oooh, and I just finished I Flipping Love You. I flipping loved it! 😉

    • Kimberly

That meme is so true! I listened this weekend, and it was so darn cute. I hope you have a nice quiet week Brandee.

  25. Tanya @ Rantings of a Reading Addict

My vacation will come the end of July when I go to Literary Lovers Savannah. I am taking a couple days around the 4th, but I’m bad about taking days off. I’m on a new diet, so the prepackaged iced coffee I was drinking is now off limits, so I made a nice replacement that seems to be working well. I just can’t drink hot drinks. I’m an iced drink kind of girl, even in the winter!

  26. S. J. Pajonas

I’m late this week to comment! Busy Monday turned into a Monday evening without internet. Sigh. Glad it’s back. I hope you have a great time on vacation! I’m also looking forward to getting to vacation as soon as I’m done writing this novella.

  27. Tizzy

Great haul. Wild Hunger looks good. Glad you’ve been enjoying the good weather. Hope you have a fantastic holiday!

    Hallo, Hallo everyone (esp Kimberly!)

It has been such a long time since I could participate in #TheSundayPost! I decided to have a special edition this week, showcasing my joyfulness in being a co-host during #wyrdandwonder – a book blogosphere, bookstagram & twitterverse celebration of the world of Fantasy! I truly had an incredible May, even though it didn’t seem like it at first! I look forward to posting a bit more regularly now – it was a hard first half of the year. I am sorting out if I will write bi-monthly or semi-weekly posts – sometimes I just see what inspires me and I go with that kind of frequency!

Speaking #JIAM – I am participating as well! My post is still sticky on my blog and linked in my footer! I’d be happy to hear from others who are as wicked addicted to audiobooks as I am stop by for a chat and see what your listening to this month!

    Happy reads everyone!

Going on vacation sounds lovely.I hope you have the best time. And thank you for the card love. I’m thinking about it although I wasn’t planning on selling cards. Now that I’m sewing, I think I’ll put it off another year because I have so much to learn sewing wise.
