I just signed up for the free trial of Audible a few days ago, because I thought I could fit more reading in that way while travelling or getting ready in the morning and so on. I didn’t realise it’s audiobook month, perfect timing! Well done on finishing so many books. I wish I could get through them that fast.
Aj @ Read All The Things!
Congrats on finishing 16 books! I wish I could do that. I hope you’re having a great week.
Kimberly
Thanks the week has been good so far. Busy but good!
Chloe @ It's YA Girl
Whoops, I’m a little late with mine but my Sunday Post is finally up!!!
Also I’m so glad you liked LIFEL1K3! That’s my next audiobook, and I’m really excited about it!
Kimberly
Yay..happy listening Chloe!
Tyler H. Jolley
Congrats on your new audio book service, Kimba!
Kimberly
Thanks Tyler, first we build the list then we match them with audios 🙂
ali
Looking forward to Audiobook Month and seeing what books are popular on peoples blogs 🙂
Kimberly
Agreed, plus Twitter and Facebook are all aflutter with goodness. Check #JIAM and #loveaudiobooks
Daniela Ark
yay! Then June is my month because all I have time to do right now is audiobooks 🙂 16 books in a month is awesome! 9 books ahead with your GR challenge is even awesomer! WTG Kim!
Kimberly
Perfect. Yes I am finding audiobooks easier to manage too,
Tanya @ Rantings of a Reading Addict
I’m dropping behind in my GR challenge. Was up to 5 books ahead, now down to 2. I’ve been slowing down. I got mad at the last book I read and haven’t been able to really get into anything else since. I hate cliffhangers.
Kimberly
Hehe. I have a total love-hate relationship with them.
Tânia @MyLovelySecret
I’ve a confession: I never heard an audiobook. *hides in shame* Maybe I should give audiobooks a chance.
Wishes of a great week.
Tânia @MyLovelySecret
Kimberly
If you ever heard one as a child, these are nothing like it. The quality is so good. You can try a free one with Audio Sync
Lorna
I have love and Other Words on audio from the publisher and I can’t get to it. I even wrote them and they just sent back the original directions. So I won’t be listening. Hope you have a good week!
Kimberly
From Simon & Schuster? I can walk you through it. I can Facebook message you tonight and we can go through the steps. The first time is always the hardest. Let me know.
Lorna
That would be great! Not sure what time is good for you but I will message you soon Thanks!
Nise'
Lover of audiobooks!! I am in the middle of The Wife Between Us.
Kimberly
Nice. I have a copy and hope to read it this summer.
Kathy @ My Nook, Books & More
I love audiobooks and I will try to participate in the macaudiogram. I am awful at the daily instagram challenges but I see some topics I can participate in. You had a great month for May and I hope June is filled with great books. Have a great week Kim!
Kimberly
This is my first time trying one of these daily posts, and to be honest I leave on vacation June 18th and probably won’t do it daily then, but it is fun.
MarthaE
I love audio all year long too. Hope you enjoy participating in the #JIAM events.
Happy Reading/Listening!
Kimberly
Me too. Thanks Martha.
Melanie Simmons
I love Audiobook Month. It is always a hard month for me. I want to do so much for it, but I also go on vacation at the end of the month, so it is hard for me take care of everything. I’m lucky that Loupe still helps out. I’ve got some great posts coming up for audiobook month with some giveaways.
Kimberly
We are going away the 18th to 29th as well. We usually go in July, but there ya go. Lol
Stefanie
You did good, reading 16 books for May. That’s almost one every two days. Wow!
Kimberly
Thanks Stefanie 🙂
Joanne
Caffeinated, Re audio book month, my children’s picture book Lost! A Caribbean Sea Adventure is available as an audio book. Do you have information I could pass on to my publisher re your audio book services linking books and reviewers and audience?
Kimberly
Not at this time Joanne, I am building up my Audio Blogger list and working with current clients. I will be opening up a service for Audio Reviews where you provide the digital audio copy and I provide bloggers and reviewers to review them. I will make a global announcement when I do. I recommend following me on Twitter @CaffeinatedPR
What is age level? I might be able to do a review on Nonna’s Corner.
Joanne
Thanks for the response, Kimberly.
The recommended age for Lost! A Caribbean Sea Adventure is 5-8.
Kimberly
If you are able to provide a digital copy of the audiobook I will review it here for you in late July. Just email me. (email icon in sidebar)
ShootingStarsMag
Ooh perfect month for you – I know you love your audiobooks!! 🙂
-Lauren
Kimberly
I really do. Thanks, Lauren!
Kristin @ AddictedtoHEA
*waves hi* What a fantastic service you’re starting!! Way to diversify, now with all that time on your hands freed up from dealing with the spam on the blog. YAY!!!!
Kimberly
You are my friend are hilarious and sadly so right.
Tressa @ Wishful Endings
Sounds like you’re doing well! Jay Kristoff’s newest is on my tbr, so I’m curious what you thought and will have to come back and check out your review. Have a fabulous week!
Kimberly
I am, thanks, Tressa. You do the same!
Sophie
Good luck on your audio book month! And I loved your review of The Kiss Quotient!
Kimberly
Thank you. I had such fun with that book <3
Mandy
Things are flying by I can’t believe it’s already June. I’m listening to my first audiobook and might be a little hooked. 16 is a great goal for the month. I hope you hit your goal. Have a great week.
Kimberly
Squee. I love hearing there is a new audio addict.
blodeuedd
Ohhh I will sign up 😀
Kimberly
Wahoo. Happy to have you my dear 🙂
Mary Kirkland
That’s a good amount of books.
Kimberly
Hahaha…yes sometimes no books is a good thing. Oh wait, or did you mean books read for May. LOL
Mary Kirkland
LOL Yes I meant for May.
Laura @ Library of Clean Reads
Thanks for the reminder of audiobook month. I have The Wife Between Us but have yet to read it. Hope you’re loving the sunny days!
Kimberly
They sent me a copy, so I am looking forward to reading it as well,
Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library
16 books is great! I’m a bit behind on my Goodreads challenge but I’m catching up! I don’t listen to many audio books in June because school is out so I don’t have as much time to concentrate on a book but I do try and get a little time every day. I signed up for the audiobook services newsletter. Sounds exciting! Have a great week!
Kimberly
I will fall behind at the end of the month when I go on vacay..but its good to unplug.
Kristin (Book Sniffers Anonymous)
Wow. It sounds like you got a lot of audiobooks in last month. It takes me about a month to listen to a book because I only listen to them when I’m doing something like knitting or driving a long distance. Otherwise, I get distracted easily and find myself tuning out the book. I love that this month is audiobook month though. I will try to push myself to listen to more books this month.
Kimberly
In the beginning, I sat with earbuds and listened, once I retrained my brain I got up and did things. Now I can wash dishes, garden, and more while listening
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
Happy Audiobook Month! I go through cycles; sometimes I’m plowing through one audiobook after another, and then I go through long periods when I don’t listen (or switch to podcasts and/or lecture courses, like the ones from The Great Courses.) But I do enjoy them!
Have a great week and a great month, and happy listening!
P.S. Your Privacy Policy page is terrific. I still need to do mine.
Kimberly
I think we all do that. Thanks, I think I’ve finally got everything covered by the policy. Feel free to grab bits and modify. Quite a few bloggy friends did. LOL
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
Thanks for the permission! I wasn’t going to ask, but since you offered, I might do that.
Kimberly
No worries. Just tweak and use what you need. Every site is different and I am not a lawyer..lol
Lily
Happy June! I want to listen to LIFEL1K3 By Jay Kristoff on Audio as well, it looks like one that would work very well
Kimberly
He rocks. I hope you grab it on audio.
bookworm
Happy June. Wow! 16 books and 09 books ahead, you are doing great: 🙂 I haven’t listened to audiobooks in too long, I need to start up again. Enjoy your week!
Kimberly
I go on vacation for two weeks at the end of the month and will fall behind. I do almost every year 🙂
vvb
Happy Audiobook month! Great to see your new service up and running. Happy listening.
Kimberly
Thanks, I am excited to launch it. Just need to build up an audible review crew 🙂
Angela
WOW no new books added to your book haul… That’s amazing!!! I always seem to pick up one free book. Thank you for sharing my post on June is Audio Month + Giveaway! ^_^
Have a great week and Happy Listening!!!
Kimberly
Oh, I don’t add those mostly because I don’t remember. If I review them, then I add those.
Melissa (My World...in words and pages)
I need to save your current photo for the meme. My old one went funny. And I have to find my photo for my blog too, it went a little goofy. *sigh* Hope you have a great week and month with audiobooks. 🙂
Kimberly
Oh no. Feel free to copy it 🙂
Northwoman
I wanted to do more for JIAM but I’m happy to be doing something. I am excited to participate in a few things and do a few giveaways. Jennifer (TheBookNympho) was the one setting up everything and I just did my reviews and wrote some other posts when asked. Now I have to plan and organize so I’m just starting on this. She gave me a huge love for audiobooks, she and Jonetta, so I’m in a good place with them. You’ve got some great things coming up. I look forward to reading your reviews Anne – Books of My Heart
Kimberly
There are so many fun activities for JIAM. Yes, Jen and others began my addiction and nurtured it.
Samantha
I had to change my GR goal. I was getting frustrated that it kept telling me how many books behind I was. I don’t need that kind of negativity! Haha!
Kimberly
Right. Goodreads should praise you and say, Oh my look how many lovelies you have read this year. hehe.
Sophia Rose
Yay for all the JIAM fun posts. Look forward to all those audio review books I see in your list for next week. I have Dream of Falling that I’ll be getting to soon. I want to get Lif3Lik3 after reading his Illuminae Files.
Have a great week, Kimberly!
Kimberly
I really like his books and hope you grab it.
A Voracious Reader
It’s June. Wasn’t it *just* June a little bit ago? Why do the days fly by?! lol I hope you have a great week, Kim!
Kimberly
Exactly and the older I get the faster they seem to go. Remember as a kid when summer stretched forever?
Jennifer | Book Den
Ooh! Audiobook fun. That will be fun! 🙂
Kimberly
Yes, so far it has been a lot of fun!
Vi @Inkvotary
I envy you. 16 books holy moly! I am still reading a book I started about a week ago and feel terrible -looking at my growing tbr pile *sigh* Ah well, we can´t read every week or month with the same energy or be as fast paced as always …
Have a great new week.
Best wishes
Vi
Kimberly
I agree, in the winter my numbers were higher, but sun and fun must happen!
Nick
Enjoy the audiobook month! I’m still slightly ahead of my GR challenge, but I’m behind compared to last year. I’m hoping to catch up this summer.
Have a good week, Kim!
Kimberly
Me too Nick, and I think my vacation will wipe out that lead unless I binge.
Chrissy
Way to go on your Goodreads challenge!!! I’m behind, but I’m sure I’ll get caught up or ahead this summer. I need to try audiobooks again. Usually I zone out while I’m listening.
Have a great week!
Kimberly
You have to sort of retrain your brain 🙂
Darlene
Awesome job on being ahead of your Goodreads goal 🙂
Have a great week!
Kimberly
Thanks, Darlene. Have a great week.
Lola
Sounds like May was a good reading month for you and yay for staying ahead of your Goodreads challenge. I hope you’ll have fun with the audiobook month!
Kimberly
Thank you, Lola!
Michelle@Because Reading
Enjoy Audiobook month! I am hoping to listen to one in the car when we go to the shore with the kids, that seems to be the only time I can listen to them.
Thanks for mentioning COYER! 🙂
Have a great week, Kim! Happy Reading! ox
Kimberly
Road trip audios are fantastic fun Michelle.
Ailyn Koay
oh this would help you whoosh through books i hope
Kimberly
Thanks Ailyn
Jessica @ a GREAT read
No new reads?! Wow!! Go you!! Lol! It’s always a nice break when that happens, though a part of me is still sad on the no newness to add to my shelves. Not that I have room for them anymore! Lol! Hope you enjoy the break to your TBR pile!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Kimberly
Right. That almost never happens!
Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra
I didn’t get any new books this week either. Feels so weird, lol. Hope you have a wonderful week!
Kimberly
It did feel weird, but also allows us to catch up a little.
hillary
I am sooooo excited that this year I can participate in JIAM! I never in a million years would have thought I would be able to but these implants are AMAZING!
Kimberly
Yay! That makes me so happy Hillary. Enjoy all the sounds!
Yvonne
I’m halfway through Dreams of Falling and it’s good. I loved The Wife Between Us. Have a great week!
Kimberly
I really enjoyed it as well Yvonne. I got a copy of The Wife Between Us and plan to read soon.
Jolene Wilson
I have been listening to the Harry Potter books on audio book. I will have to start the third one this month in honor of Audiobook month! Enjoy all your books and have a great week.
Kimberly
I am doing that as well, and need to listen to book three.
Angela Adams
Looking forward to reading your review of Karen White’s book! Have a great week!!!
Kimberly
. I was late to the game and only started reading her last year.
Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books
Enjoy your audiobooks and good luck with your challenges!
I can’t do audiobooks. Everything about them annoys me. However, the little dude and the professor love them. Each to their own, eh?!
Kimberly
Yes. I will be honest in the beginning I had trouble, but a great story and narrator hooked me. Glad the dude and professor enjoy them.
Melliane
that’s a nuce idea for the autdiobook service, if only it wasn’t complicated for me…
Kimberly
I am sorry. Is it listening that is hard?
Jenea’s Book Obsession
I have such a hard time with audiobooks, but I did make it through one just recently. I looked like a crazy woman when I laughing at the characters. Lol… Enjoy your Sunday.!!
Kimberly
Hehe. You get better as you listen. In the beginning, I used earbuds and sat while listening (to concentrate) Now I cook, clean, walk, garden and more while listening, You basically re-train your brain.
Evelina @ AvalinahsBooks
Those are some great results 🙂 keep rocking it!
Kimberly
Thanks, Evelina!
Danielle
LifeL1k3 was a huge hit for me, as was the Wife Between Us. So I am looking forward to your thoughts! Excited to learn about your new audio book review program! I signed up and cannot wait to learn more 🙂
Kimberly
Fantastic. I will be sending out an email in the next month with a couple audio offers for review.
Wattle
I hope you enjoy your audiobook month 🙂 I still have sooo many on my…digital shelves…that I have to listen to. Too many books (and lack of being able to concentrate, heh). Have a wonderful week ahead!
Kimberly
My audio pile is the only one not out of control. Lol
Andreea
I haven’t listen to an audiobook in a while so maybe I should join! Hope you will enjoy this challenge and have lots of fun!
Kimberly
Thanks Anreea. I hope you do join.
Literary Feline
Yay for being ahead in reading goals! I need to pick out my next audiobook. I actually listened to one last month, Albeit it was a short one. At least three of the books on your list to review this coming week are either on my TBR or wish list. I look forward to reading your thoughts on them. I hope you have a great week, Kim! Thanks for hosting.
Kimberly
Yay. A short audiobook can be perfect.
Michelle Gilmore
Happy audiobook month! I think most of my books are audios these days, which is such a shift from a couple of years ago when I could barely focus on them.
Kimberly
I am just about split. Of the 121 books read thus far for 2018 61 were audio.
Greg
Happy audiobook month! I should take the oppo to try audio again. 🙂 And yay for 16 books- that’s pretty awesome. Curious what you’ll think of Scalzi’s book- I read my first book of his alst year and liked it.
Have a super week Kimba!
Kimberly
I really enjoy Scalzi’s books and the man is hilarious on Twitter.
JJ @ This Dark Material
Congrats on staying ahead of your Goodreads goal! I can never read a book for the first time via audiobook—the details just don’t stick with me the way traditional reading does. I do have a few favorites that I’ll listen to on occasion because I like the narrator so much…and I don’t have to worry about missing out on something important!
Kimberly
When I first began listening I would need to sit perfectly still and listen with earbuds to stay focused. Now I can do almost anything and listen.
Dani @ Perspective of a Writer
Ooooh it’ll be great to get a list of different audiobooks that you enjoyed! I’ll be by the visit for sure! ♥️
Kimberly
Thanks, Dani. I appreciate the support 🙂
Laurel-Rain Snow
I loved The Wife Between Us…and can’t wait to read Karen White’s newest book. Enjoy your week…and thanks for hosting.
Kimberly
They sent me copy and I am hoping to read it this summer <3
