USA TODAY bestselling author Kate Meader brings her signature “steamy sex scenes, colorful characters, and riveting dialogue” (RT Book Reviews) to this novella in the Chicago Rebels series, following the general manager of the Rebels as he scores with one of his players off the ice.

Dante Moretti has just landed his dream job: GM of the Chicago Rebels. And screw the haters who think there should be an asterisk next to his name because he’s the first out managing executive in pro hockey. He’s earned the right to be here and nothing will topple him off that perch—especially not an incredibly inconvenient attraction to his star defenseman, Cade “Alamo” Burnett. Cade has always been careful to keep his own desires on the down low, but his hot Italian boss proves to be a temptation he can’t resist. Sure, they both have so much to lose, but no one will ever know...

As Dante and Cade’s taboo affair heats up off the ice and their relationship gets more and more intense, they’ll have to decide: is love worth risking their careers? Or is this romance destined to be forever benched?

Diverse ROMANCE Sports Novella

Undone By You Kate Meader is the third book in the Chicago Rebels contemporary romance series surrounding three sisters and the hockey team they own and love. Undone By You shares the story of Dante Moretti, GM of the Chicago Rebels and his romance with star defenseman, Cade “Alamo” Burnett. Hot, sweet and relevant Meader shared a delightful romance with depth and heart.

Dante Moretti is openly gay, and while the Chicago Rebels accept him, he keeps his private life, well,  private. While spending his Saturday evening at an invite-only private club where discretion is a requirement Dante spots the Chicago Rebels star defenseman Cade Burnett. Cade isn’t openly gay, in fact, he is often seen with several ladies on his arm. The tale that unfolded was sweet, sizzling hot and touching as Cade dealt with many firsts.

I don’t normally pick up M/M romances, but a few series I have read recently have diverse characters which gave way to sharing their story.  Meader gave the readers all the feels, emotions and heat while addressing homosexuality in the sporting world.

Cade was a sweetie, and it was interesting to get both his and Dante’s backstories. We had a couple of emotional moments with characters from the series, and I loved how they rallied behind their teammate. Even though Dante is openly gay and seems confident, Meader shared his struggles and fears allowing him to grow in the relationship and I found it refreshing.

Undone By You was another page-turner in the Chicago Rebels series and I look forward to the next book.

I’ve been listening to this series and am patiently waiting for the audio. Glad you enjoyed it.

I don’t think I’ve ever read M/M romance. Does Aristotle and Dante count? Well, I have read a M/M manga called Ten Count, so I guess I have. The cover looks amazing and your heat rating has me intrigued.

I love this series. I am not really a M/M romance reader, but I am interested because I like these characters and adore the series.

I have been hearing such good things about Kate Meader and this series. I’m so glad you enjoyed this. I definitely need to add it to my list. I love sports romances.

I don’t usually pick up m/m romances either. I am glad this one was a great read for you especially since you went out of your comfort zone.

I was pleased with how much I enjoyed it, and that I connected emotionally with the characters and romance.

Oh nice. Another one to add to my ever growing list. I have several M/M romances I still have yet to read. I don’t think I’ll ever catch up. I think that is a good problem to have though! 😀

that is cool I like how the author address homosexuality in the sports world, it still sounds like a sweet story

Do you read Sarina Bowen? Her Ivy years series is wonderful and sports related. Intertwined in that series is the book Him. So great. If you haven’t tried this series, not one of them are bad. I still have maybe two to go? Not sure. If nothing else, the first book is so good, The Year We Fell Down. Bowen is now one of my favorite contemporary authors. I liked this review!

She is on my list of authors to try Lorna. Right now I am on a serious UF and Paranormal binge. LOL

I don’t think I have ever read a M/M romance. I have read a few LGBT books and some F/F books. This sounds interesting. I like going outside my normal genres. Great review.

I don’t usually pick up M/M romances either Kim but like this one I have enjoyed a few here and there intertwined with a series I’m enjoying. Great review and I love hockey romance so I may have to put this on my list. Its a good thing the “cloud” is so big 😉

I like the premise of this book and how the characters supported each other. Greta review!
