Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

I cannot believe we are in March already. I finally got a clean bill of health and am feeling more like myself again. Life is incredibly busy, we’ve had the Royals a lot more than expected, but tiring as they are we love them. I am not even going to commit to commenting and visiting today as family commitments will keep me out of the home all day. I did manage to slip away yesterday for a pedicure. It was so nice to do something for myself.  For February I read/listened to 24 books. My year to date total is 55 read/listened for Goodreads. The week ahead has some awesome book, and two of my favorite series.  Stay Caffeinated.

Glad you’re feeling better! And yay for MArch. Just the fact that we’re through January and february makes me happy lol. Winter needs to go! Hope your week is good…

Nice seeing that Reese Witherspoon is gonna adapt Little Fires. She did a good job with big Little Lies, I thought.

  2. Laurel-Rain Snow

So glad you are well again…and what an amazing number of books you read!

Enjoy your new books! I think I have a Jill Shalvis book tucked away somewhere on Pippa, my Kindle.

    Have a great week!

  3. Literary Feline

I am so glad you are feeling better, Kim. It sounds like you are extra busy. I am too. I hope to make time to visit blogs tomorrow, but, honestly, I am not sure I will make much progress. I’m always on the go these days. I hope you have a great week! Enjoy your family time!

  4. Maureen Bakker

Glad to hear your feeling much better Kimberly! And yay for all the books you read/listened to in February! That’s very impressive.

ExI’m binging Dannika Dark’s “Crossbread” series this week after finding it on your blog 🙂 Exctied to be taking part of the March TBR challenge … I’m binging Dannika Dark’s “Crossbreed” series this week after finding it on your blog 🙂 Have a great week, Kim and happy reading!

  6. Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard

I’m so glad you’re finally feeling better! I hope the rest of your year is smooth sailing — seems like after the last few months, you deserve a loooong stretch of good health.

I’m impressed with your reading total for the year. You go, girl! I’ve been more swamped than usual with work, so I’m 7 books behind in my Goodreads challenge pace. I’m not sure when I’ll have time to catch up, but I’m hoping it won’t be because I get sick. (I had more than enough of that last year!)

Have a great weekend and enjoy your family. And just think… spring is coming!

  7. Cricket

I’m glad you feeling better. You’ve read a lot so far for the year. Enjoy your time with the family and have a great week!

  8. Michelle Gilmore

I’m glad you are feeling better! Well done on your reading progress! I’m struggling this year, but you seem to be chugging along nicely!

I hope you enjoy your downtime and your new books!

  9. Sam@WLABB

I am glad you are back in good health! Fingers crossed no more “p.lagues” get you. Oooh, new Shalvis. Can’t wait to see what you think. Enjoy your family time!

  10. Danielle

I am just pleased to read about the clean bill of health and know you are well enough to be up and out! Also nice to see you managed a little self time with the pedicure. It is was very needed, I am sure. Stay well – xx

  11. Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews

You sound very busy, Kim! I hope you’re back in perfect health now, and that being with the royals will be more pleasure than work 🙂
I look forward to your reviews next week- there are some I have had on my TBR shelf for a while 😉
Enjoy your Sunday, even if you won’t be able to stay bundled up at home!

  12. Andreea

Yaay for feeling well again! 24 books? That is amazing. I didn’t listen to any audiobooks last month, but I should get some new ones for March. Coffee lover here too as in “I don’t drink coffee to wake up, I wake up to drink coffee”.

  13. Karen

I am so glad to hear you are feeling better and that you did something for yourself this week. You deserve it!
    Have a great week!

  14. Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

Hooray for the clean bill of health! It’s been a long time coming. And good for you for nabbing some “me time” with the pedicure. I just finished Lake Silence and need to get my review written. Loved it!

  15. Natalie @Natflix&Books

I am seriously so happy that you are finally feeling better! I am always so in awe of how many books you go through. At 10 books so far this year, I am ahead of my gr goal. Lol. Happy reading!

  16. Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books

Holy Heck! 24 books?! That’s amazing! I don’t think I’ve managed anything close to that since switching to my current job about 4 years ago… Well done!

  17. Evelina @ AvalinahsBooks

So glad you’re feeling good again! That too a while, dayum :/ 24 books!! Wow, that’s amazing. I did 13, that’s the highest I’ve ever done, I think, so it was also a good month in terms of reading for me.

  18. sjhigbee

I’m delighted that you are finally feeling back to normal. Though it sounds as if you haven’t had any opportunity to take it easy! I recall those tough years when the grandchildren were very little – it’s delightful, but very hard graft! Glad you managed to make some time for yourself and I hope you get a chance to have some down time this coming week. Oh my word – 24 books in one week – I can’t get near that total in a month!

    • sjhigbee

Erg! Annddd… that was 24 books in the month, wasn’t it?? Blame the weather – I have been making so many daft mistakes this week!

  19. RO

Only 103% huh?(lol) Yay to feeling better Kimberly! so happy that things are close to being normal these days. Kudos for taking a minute to do something nice for yourself. You certainly deserve it! Hugs and Happy Sunday! RO

  20. Stephanie Jane

I’m glad you’re feeling better and am a tad envious of your 22 books read in February. Puts my 16 well in the shade!

I’m linking up to The Sunday Post for the first time today. Hope I’ve done everything ok. Please holler if not

Wonderful to hear you’re all better now, Kim. That pedicure sounds nice. LOL Enjoy your time with the family:)

  31. Melissa (My World...in words and pages)

So glad you are feeling better. You have to feel as though you’ve lost two months with being sick. It’s hard to believe it’s March already. Crazy how time is flying. Take care!

  32. Anna

I’m so impressed by your reading numbers! I’m hoping to hit 40 books….after 12 months 😉

  33. vvb

  38. Tanya @ Rantings of a Reading Addict

Wow! 24 books AND you had the Royals? Sweet! I should be doing the March TBR challenge, but I’ve been having such a hard time finding time to read lately that I didn’t want to disappoint myself. I’m pretty much reading all off my TBR anyway, I’m just not official! LOL

  39. Angela @ Angel's Guilty Pleasures

What fabulous news that you are all clear on your health. That bug was around for a long time. It’s always nice to find a little time just for yourself to pamper. Hope you enjoy your book haul. Have a wonderful week ahead!

  40. Sophia Rose

Good health and pretty toes for the spring flip flop moments, yay!

Great job with the book total considering you were sick. 🙂 Have fun with the family.

  41. Laura@Library of Clean Reads

I’m glad you’re spending time with family. I’m sure it was limited when you were sick so it must feel good to be able to get together with others and not worry about spreading germs. Enjoy your new books!

  42. Vi @Inkvotary

Gald to hear that you all are well again. And oh yes! I know that feeling when you can do something for yourself after a long time. Kind of a mini-vacation *smile* I haven´t read as much as you in February, but that is absolutely ok for me. Have a wonderful March.

    Best wishes
    Vi @Inkvotary

  43. Charlie

Kimba, I’m so glad you’re back to feeling at rights. And good for you for slipping out to do something for yourself!!! Sometimes we just have to or we start unraveling. You still had a great reading month!

  44. Marlene

It IS hard to believe it’s March already. Time seems to fly whether you’re having fun or not. Can you tell me who is hosting that All About Diversity Blog Hop? I’m interested in joining.
p.s. I love your reviews of the Iron Druid books, I’m in the middle of listening to Hexed and you’re right, Luke Daniels is marvelous as Atticus.

  45. Lily

glad to hear you and the family are feeling better Kim, hopefully March will keep the colds away.

  46. Carole @ Carole's Random Life in Books

I am so happy to hear that you are finally feeling better! That is great news! I spent the day yesterday chasing twin 3 year olds and then prom dress shopping. I don’t know that I could keep up with little ones as much as you do. I hope you have a great day today and a great week!

  47. Lynn

So happy to hear you are finally feeling better!
How To Date Your Dragon sounds like a lot of fun!
Have a wonderful week and happy reading!

  48. Melanie Simmons

I’m so glad that you’re finally healthy. I hope you stay that way for the rest of this season, at least. I read those same two favorite series. I can’t wait to read your reviews. Mine will post too. Have a great week.

  49. Berls

so glad to hear you are feeling better! I know, I’ve been down with post-flu symptoms for a little while as well. Wow so many books already! I’m at 17 for the year so far, I believe, and that’s good for me 🙂 I hope you have a great week!

  50. Stefanie

Yay for a clean bill of health. I’m just about there with my big toe and I’m watching my teen as she’s slowly making a recovery but still on meds.

  51. MarthaE

So glad you are feeling better. You’ve had great reading for the first two months.. Keep on enjoying!

  52. Sandy @ Somewhere Only We Know

Great job on your February reading. I can’t believe it is March. Normally I participate in the March Take Control, but my reading time is so limited that I’m barely making progress and I need to focus on review books coming up. Hope you have a great week!

  53. Lorna

So happy to hear you are better! I am doing better as well but I now have a new respect for people that get bronchitis. It’s horrible and scary. I’ve never coughed so much where it goes on and on and you can’t get your breath. And you’ve had that a lot! I can’t imagine-bless your heart! And with the flu on top of that. Unreal what you and your husband have been going through. I bet I know what your two top series are for next week. My review of Lake Silence is on Tuesday as well. I have the Molly Harper one on audiobook to listen to. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts.

  54. Tyler H. Jolley

Glad to hear you are healthy again. I’m so excited it’s March. Spring Break is next week, and while my body isn’t in shape for it, my brain is!

  55. Nise'

So good to hear you are feeling better and that you take time for you!. Looking forward to your thoughts on Undone By You. I am hoping it comes out on audio (enjoyed the first 2 on audio).

  56. Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library

Yay for a clean bill of health! It’s been a long time coming for you. I hope Mr. Caffeinated is feeling better too. That’s great about spending more time with the Royals but yeah I can imagine that is exhausting. A pedicure was definitely in order. Have a great week!
