The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme
This week was busy, busy, busy! I had a couple of huge projects for clients and the Royals were here Friday and Saturday. I may have gone back full swing too soon, as a follow-up visit with the Doctor for my husband and I resulted in another round of antibiotics and a scolding. Our pneumonia has not cleared up. I knew by Thursday night I had pushed too much but we had committed to watching the Royals over a month ago, so it couldn’t be helped. But we are resting today. Movies and naps are on the agenda. We really need to kick this. Last week I noticed many folks linked up without a mention of the Sunday Post anywhere on their post. Please mention and provide the link so others can join us. Is it Spring yet? Stay Caffeinated.

I hope you have kicked the pneumonia by now as I’m tardy. Bless you for keeping the babysitting date although if I had known my parents were still recovering I wouldn’t have wanted them to watch my kids.
Julie
Oh, get better, pneumonia is a nasty thing. Make sure you rest a lot as fighting it takes a lot of strength.
Daniela Ark
yay for busy weeks specially if it involves the job you love and wonderful 10% cuteness Royals 🙂 Glad you decided to rest though! Nothing like naps to get you better! 🙂 I will go back and fix my Sunday Posts!
S. J. Pajonas
Oh no! I’m sorry to hear about the rebound of your pneumonia! Do rest up. It’s important. 🙂 <3
Tanya @ Rantings of a Reading Addict
Man, that pneumonia is really hanging in there! I hope this round of antibiotics knocks it out of you both!
Laurie @ Bark's Book Nonsense
I cannot believe you guys are still sick! How awful. Take it easy this week and feel better 🙂
JoLee @ Wickedly Delicious Book Blog
Sorry to hear you and hubby actually did not really overcome your sickness. Hopefully you will get better.
Tyler H. Jolley
I’m glad you’re on the road to recovery. I’m not surprised you pushed it too far 🙂 Twenty-nine days until Spring!
Chrissy
I’m sorry you’re still sick!!! I hope you had a relaxing weekend!
lisa thomson
I hope you’re recovering, Kim. That’s a serious set back and takes lots of rest 🙁 Thanks for the lovely reviews. I just love the round up on Sundays. I’m currently (finally) reading ‘Nuts” that you reviewed here a while back. It’s really cute and I’ll be reading more of her (sorry can’t name the author off the top). This is my first read of the series.
Laura@Library of Clean Reads
I see you got As Bright as Heaven which caught my eye on a few other blogs. I hope you enjoy it along with all your new books. Feel better soon.
Anna
I love your pic for the totally random section! I relate to it on a deep spiritual level 😉
MarthaE
Ah- you really need to get plenty of rest. Hope you kick it this week.
You received some wonderful looking books this week.
I picked up the first of the Alpha and Omega series on Audible. 🙂
Hope you have a good reading week while resting!
Nise'
Hope this week leaves you nothing much to do, but rest, relax and kick the illness! Naps, movies and books are the best medicine!
Carole @ Carole's Random Life in Books
Oh no! I can’t believe that you are still sick. Well, I can believe it but I don’t want it to be true 🙂 Lots of great new books this week. I hope you have a week of wellness.
Angela @ Angel's Guilty Pleasures
Well first I hope you guys get better. This bug you have has been sticking around for some time now… Movies, Audiobooks, and TV vegging are perfect to help relax. ^_^
Love your book haul. I’m just adore Briggs. Hope you enjoy.
Well have a wonderful week and happy reading!
Bookworm Brandee
Kim, you better take care of you!! And Hubs, too! 🙂 I hope today’s relaxing helps.
I love the graphic about the problem with reading a good book. So true! And I’m looking forward to Taking Control. You know I need to! 😉 Happy Sunday, my friend. <3
Michelle @ Life Among the Pages
Sorry to hear that your pneumonia is still hanging on! I hope you are back to functioning at full speed again soon!!
Aj @ Read All The Things!
Enjoy your movies and naps. I hope you feel better soon.
Barbara Strickland
You have had such a bad run. It can only get better from this moment. Get well, stay well.
ShootingStarsMag
That IS the problem with a good book!
Aw, I hope you feel better soon. Lots of rest sounds like the perfect thing. 🙂
-Lauren
Cricket @ Little Library Muse
I hope you feel better soon, I can understand wanting it to be over so you can be up doing what you want to do. I’ve been wanting to read Patricia Briggs for so long, I need to get to it. Hope you have a good week.
Charlie
I’m sorry you still have the sick sludge. The Man is in the same boat. He can’t kick what he has, and it has manifested worse than it was. You definitely need to rest up. Drink lots of water, too. I hope you guys start feeling better and kick it this week.
Melissa's Midnight Musings
I really hope you start to feel better soon.It seems all these flu/cold bugs are really intense and hanging on this year.
I hope you have a wonderful day of napping and movies today. If you’re looking for a movie that will tug at your heartstrings, try Our Souls at Night. I watched it last night and it was excellent!
Lorna
Feel better! Rest and relaxation sounds like just the thing. I came close to an ER visit last night due to not being able to get my breath because I was coughing so hard. And I barely have a voice, but Vicks and I are on a first name basis now! Hope you are able to have a better week coming up!
vvb
Sunburn caught my interest. That cover. Do take care this week. Be better 🙂
Kristin (Book Sniffers Anonymous)
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that you guys are still sick. I hope you guys can rest up and get better soon. 🙁
Danielle
I am a bit disheartened to learn you are still not out of the woods! But I am glad you are sticking with follow ups. It sounds like you need much more rest than you may be getting.. but isn’t that life? I am no position to lecture. I saw your comment and apologize for not responding. I think the depression flare ups are more of just a part of my usual cycle with this chronic illness and maybe a touch seasonal? I am slowly on the mend mentally and physically though. Really wishing the same for you <3
Also sorry you are discovering link-ups with no mentions. If you ever need me to alter my own in anyway to help, just let me know. Always happy to do so! Be well my friend – xx
Sophia Rose
Whoops! You backslider. LOL We just saw the bottom of the ‘cillin bottle in our household so I hope its the last for a while. Hubby did manage to get himself wounded by a rubber bullet during a building security training at week this week, poor fella. We bandaged and kissed the boo boo. 😉
Nice haul you have there. I should be getting the Patricia Briggs one though not in audio. As Bright as Heaven looks good. And love seeing the classics for children.
Have a good week, Kimberly!
Aleen @ Lampshade Reader
I’m sorry that your illness is lingering. Movies and rest sound like a good way to recover. 🙂
That meme is so true!
LORI CASWELL
I sure hope you kick that awful bug to the curb soon and your life gets back to normal. This year the flu and all that goes with it are so bad. Keeping you in my prayers.
Sophie
I’m sorry to hear that you still are not feeling 100% Kimberly! Now thanks for the featured bog posts I’ll go visit them and I love the quote. So true! I hope you get better soon.
Jennifer | Book Den
I’m so sorry you guys are still struggling with being sick! I hope you are able to take care of yourself this week!
Samantha
Rest and get better! That is easier said then done-we always feel like there is just too much to do and it needs to get done! Hope you have a good week!
Melissa (My World...in words and pages)
It’s hard to not push when you know you’re behind. But you really have to take your time after how sick you’ve been. Take care.
Michelle
Hope you both will get well soon! Have more rest!
I managed to grab a copy of To Sir Phillip, With Love from the library. So excited to read it!
Nick
Have you maybe considered getting a second opinion about the illness? It sounds very intense, and I know you’ve had it for quite a bit now. You got some nice looking books in your haul. I hope you enjoy them!
Kimberly
Sadly, it has not been the same illness. It began with sinus and bronchitis, which didn’t completely go away that turned into pneumonia, complicated by a bout of Flu. I am getting better, still tired but a lung check still showed problems, so back on meds again.
Danielle Chapman
Rest and Relax and get over this bug!
I have to say I am looking forward to your review for Count on the Easter Pups! (Paw Patrol) book. My Miss Chloe loves Paw Patrol! 🙂
Amy
I’m glad you’re resting today. Make sure to look after yourself!
Jolene
I love Peter Pan! I have always wanted to read The Jungle Book even though I know it isn’t anything like the Disney version I have a copy of it but just haven’t gotten to it yet. Hope you get some rest and can finally kick that bug!
Darlene
Tsk, tsk…you get back into bed! You need to kick this. There are terrible bugs going around. My brother has been sick for over three weeks now, and he’s on antibiotics as well. I get that it’s hard to rest when you are looking after kids (or grandkids, as it were). Try not to overdo it.
I’m so excited for Burn Bright. Love that series!
Dani @ Perspective of a Writer
Awww it’s hard not to overdo when it’s in the name of family! We want to help and for it to be the best possible time we can… I hope you’re able to get the rest you need. This other flu has been really hard on people!
Grace @ Rebel Mommy Book Blog
Oh man I hope you can finally kick the sick and get some rest today!!! Enjoy your new books and have a great week!
Chloe
I do hope you both kick the illness soon – it’s such a pain being ill. Hope this week is a good one for you 🙂
Yvonne
I’m sorry to hear you and your husband still aren’t feeling well. I hope a relaxing day today will help you both. Have a great week!
Lynn
I hope you and your husband feel better soon!
Seems like you got a lot of books this week! Don’t Blink looks really fun!
I hope you’ll have a relaxing sunday! Happy reading!
Bookworm
Hi Kim, glad you are continuing to feel better. I saw that book meme this past week too and it made me laugh, very true. I’ll have to check out your Tiffany Reisz book review, I’m a fan of her Original Sinners books. Enjoy your week!
A Voracious Reader
I would scold you, too, but I’m the same way, so I’ll just shake my finger at you and tsk tsk. 😀 I hope you can kick this in the ass for good and I hope you have a wonderful (and restful!) week.
Jenea's Book Obsession
Jeez, you and your hubbys pneumonia is still hanging on?!?! You poor souls! I hope this round of antibiotics kick it. I’m glad y’all were able to watch your grandbabies, just don’t over do it. ☺ Have a restful Sunday and enjoy those new books!
Mary
NIce line up this week! I have a pretty busy week ahead. I did start the Audiobook challenge! I don’t think it should be to hard but who knows. Sorry your week was busy and you didn’t get a chance to rest to kick that flu. Be safe and hopefully you guys will beat it! I hate being sick. I guess everyone does!
Melanie Simmons
It is really hard to do the rest thing sometimes. Life goes on and you can only be bedridden for so long. I hope you and your husband get this thing kicked soon. Try to rest as much as you can. Movies at home sound like a great plan. I hope you feel better soon.
Mandy Sickle
Eek I thought you guys had been on the mend. Hopefully, this week will be the time you need to kick this nasty pneumonia. I’ve never had it before yet….but I get colds that last for a month at a time. I hope you all feel better and sending healing jujus. I’m so jealous you have the newest Alpha and Omega. I can’t wait to read more of Anna and Charles. Thanks for hosting this wonderful weekly!!!! Happy reading!! d
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Hmm…I swear I hit submit…I could be losing it! So if this is a duplicate comment, my apologies!
Sounds like you’re cold is give you a hard time! Making you think you’re better but then striking back with a vengeance! Hopefully you can kick it to the curb soon!
Nice new reads too! Quite a few are new to me ones! I hope you enjoy them all!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!

Jessica @ a GREAT read
Bah! Of course after I submit this duplicate comment my original one appears! Lol!
Suzanne
Ugh, that really sucks that the pneumonia is still lingering. I hope the new meds take care of it and that you get plenty of rest today. Movies and naps sound like a wonderful way to spend the day 🙂
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Guess your cold took a break for a bit before biting back? Sounds like a nasty one! I hope you can finally kick it to the curb this week!
Nice new reads too! Quite a few are new to me ones! I hope you enjoy them all!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!

Natalie @Natflix&Books
Sorry youh are still not 100%. Hope movies and naps are exactly what you need. Happy reading!
Jan
I’m sorry you’re still not fully recovered, Kimberly–especially when you have lots to do. I hope today will be a good day for both you and your husband to catch up on rest and sleep.
You got some good books this week. I hope you enjoy some great reading time. I love your Totally Random Quote. It’s so true.
Angela Adams
Sunday is a day for resting. Enjoy!
Kari @ Kari Reads and Writes
So sorry for your extended illness! Please take it easy and rest, rest, rest! Not always possible but..
I too am looking forward to Sunburn by Lippman. She used to be a go-to author for me for the Tess Monaghan series and now I enjoy her stand-alones. Feel better!
Christine @Buckling Bookshelves
Oh no! I hope you both feel better soon!
RO
Kudos on the projects, but glad that everyone is resting with movies today so you can get back to being 100% healed. That Totally Random quote is fun and very true. Happy Sunday and Huge Hugs…RO
sjhigbee
I’m so sorry:(. Though not surprised – looking after the grandchildren when they are littlies is just exhausting – and pneumonia is a MAJOR illness. I hope you get a chance to properly rest up and fully recover, Kimberly. Perhaps get a bit of reading done…
Karen Blue
Oh no Kimberly! I hope a few more days of rest will help you kick this. Being sick sucks. I hope you enjoy your day if naps and movies.
Have a great week!
Ailyn Koay
totally right about finishing the book and not finishing the book! hopefully you are better soon. Do you have a steam vaporizer? I find that helps when my Royals sleep- stops them from waking up too often to cough (plus some Ventolin always helps)
Melliane
Rest well… So many books for you in any case! I hope you’ll enjoy them all!
Lola
Sorry to hear you still struggling with your pneumonia :(. I hope you’ll be fully recovered soon and you can take it easy today. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!
Tanya @ Girl Plus Books
Take it easy on yourself, Kim! I sure hope this latest round of antibiotics clears the pneumonia up for good. This stuff has lingered for weeks! Your random this week is so perfect! I totally agree. LOL
Maureen Bakker
Sorry to hear you guys still haven’t been able to get rid of the pneumonia. That really sucks. I hope the resting helps. 😉
Have a great week Kimberly.
Michelle @Because Reading
Oh goodness you poor woman, I hope you feel better soon! I am glad you were able to spend time with those cuties but you need to take it slow. It stinks when you have stuff to do but can’t so it. When I hurt my back I had to stop taking the medicine because it would make it feel better and I would do more than I should only for it to wear off and it hurt worse than it did. I hope this is the last of it for you both! You two have been through enough and shouldn’t get sick for another, at least. 10 years. 🙂
I hope this week is awesome for you, Kim! Happy Reading! ox
Cai
Oh man! I hope you are better soon!
Andreea
I am so sorry to hear about your health, take care and rest a lot. I really hope you will feel better soon.
I was just thinking of buying Peter Pan and looking for it at the library because I want to reread it. Enjoy all the new books!
I think I forgot to add the mention last week, so if I am one of those people I really apologize, but the next day (or maybe the same day) I remember and went back and corrected my mistake.
Evelina
I hope you get your rest this week. Health is important… I’m surprised you can watch the kids – it is contagious, isn’t it? I hope you can get better soon 🙁 hang in there!
That’s too bad about people linking up without a mention :/ I hope it’s okay that my links are by the end of the post and I link to your general blog link?
Jackie Briere
I hope you both had a relaxing Valentine’s Day at least. Spring and Easter are coming. Ash Wednesday was on Valentine’s Day. Can you believe it? As somebody on twitter said and I quote “gonna celebrate Valentine’s Day the old-fashioned way, by getting ashes on my forehead and reminding my girl that we’re all going to die.” haha
Sam@WLABB
Oh no! I hope you were able to babysit and rest (is that possible?), and I hope you are feeling better by next week’s post.
Vani | Off-Color Lit
I cannot BELIEVE you are still sick! I really hope you get better soon. Pneumonia is so awful and makes it so difficult to get anything done. Impressed, as always, with how you stay on top of things!
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
I hope the new antibiotics will help you get rid of that stupid pneumonia, Kim!
Movies and naps with the royals sounds fantastic 🙂
You got a fantastic haul this last week, I hope you’ll enjoy all your new arrivals.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading. *hugs*
Michelle Gilmore
I really hope you can recover! I loathe antibiotics (nothing like a little nuke of a pill to screw up your entire system) so I can’t even imagine. I hope you get the rest you need and enjoy all of your reading this week!
JJ @ This Dark Material
Pneumonia is the pits; it always overstays its welcome. (Not that it was ever welcome in the first place…) Curious to read your thoughts on Sunburn! The synopsis caught my eye but I haven’t gotten around to buying a copy. Hope you feel better soon 🙂
Maree
Movies and naps sound ideal. I hope you feel better!
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
This pneumonia seems really persistent. I hope they switched antibiotics; it doesn’t seem like the last one was working. I hope this one works better, and that you’re both completely over this thing SOON.
I think I’ll sign up for the Take Control of Your TBR challenge. I need it, and I’ve got a little break in the ARC schedule that month. Thanks as always for running it!
Rachel
I got a copy of Burn Bright, too. Happy reading.
Mallory
Oh no! I thought you had this thing beat after your Sunday Post last week 🙂 Fingers crossed that it finally starts happening for you so you can get back to feeling better and keeping up with those Royals 🙂 Have a great week Kim and happy reading!
Tressa @ Wishful Endings
Goodness! I hope you finally kick that pneumonia this week! Hopefully you will get some rest in. I’m hoping for a more relaxing week too. 🙂
Laura Thomas
Movies and naps. I bet that’s just what the doctor ordered. You two take care of each other and enjoy those new reads.
Greg
Wow the pneumonia’s really hanging on, huh? Hope you guys are feeling better! Movies and naps sound like a good idea. 🙂 Enjoy your weekend!!
Some cute new arrivals. Don’t Blink looks fun!
Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library
It’s so hard not to overdue it when you start to feel better after feeling so awful for so long but movies and lots of rests sounds like the thing! I hope you stick to it! So many pretty books this week! As Bright as Heaven is calling my name. Have a great week and get lots of rest!
Laurel-Rain Snow
Oh, I hope you finally kick the illness!
Enjoy those books. I can’t wait to get a copy of Sunburn. Have a great week!
