I am still incredibly weak/tired and still have upper respiratory issues but my cough has finally broken and the wheezing has decreased. Despite wanting to do things, I am still forced to rest quite frequently as activity causes me to heat up and cough uncontrollably. I have damaged my vocal cord and sound super sexy! *winks* Today is my last day of treatment so fingers crossed I continue to see improvement and don’t relapse like last time. I do have a follow up with Doctor on the 2nd of February.  My oldest came and cleaned my home for me, and I am so grateful. The Royal Princess turned three on Friday. She is such a sweetie and cake was enjoyed by all. A special thank you to my daughter for bringing the party to us. I am continuing my audio binge but did manage to complete a physical book. Go Me! Guys, I have so many reviews to write, it is actually scary. I took notes on napkins, and scraps of paper. Stay Caffeinated.

Glad to hear you’re getting better, Kim. I hope you will be fully recovered soon, my friend. Anyway, happy birthday to the royal princess. Glad to hear you had a wonderful time. Have a wonderful reading week and happy reading. ❤️

Hi Anne, Yes the Royal Princess is my granddaughter. I have been ill all month and listened to 27 audiobooks thus far since I am bedridden… I am not overly worried but tend to be very anal and never have more than 3 reviews to write at any given time. I took notes something I never do, so I should be fine. I am not pushing myself just yet. Instead, I am curled up with a good book and napping the day away.

  2. Literary Feline

I think I put in the right link this time. I felt bad last week, having put in the wrong one. I am sorry to hear you are still feeling sickly, Kim. It’s just awful, this virus going around. I hope you are feeling completely better soon. I am so glad your family has been there for you. It can’t be easy for you. Happy Birthday to the Royal Princess. Three is such a great age. 🙂 Take care of yourself!

You ALWAYS had the “sexy” voice thing. I’m not sure anyone can handle more of that from you!!! And no, I’m not trying to be pervy… I just am 😛

Don’t sweat the reviews, you’ll get them done eventually. What I do to refresh myself when my notes suck is to re-read (or listen in your case) to the end and then skim around a bit. The story comes back surprisingly well when you read the ending again. That’s one positive about eBooks… highlighting like a fiend 🙂

Hang in there, girl. You’re still in my thoughts. HUG!!

  4. Tressa @ Wishful Endings

Promises to Keep looks interesting. I’m so glad you’re finally getting a little better. I hope this week shows more improvement. I’m sure you’re so sick of being sick! Good thing your family is close too!

  5. Mallory

I have to check out the Pierce Brown article – I just picked up the first book tonight and am soo looking forward to it! I also read “Most Likely to Score” the other week, the dialogue was great and I can see it being an awesome audiobook.

Happy to hear you’re finally on the mend! 🙂 Good luck with your review back-log!

I’m glad you are feeling a bit better! I hope you continue to do so. And happy belated birthday to the princess!

I’ll have to see if I can get google play on my phone, I love cheap audios but only if they are convenient, lol.

So sorry to hear you are still unwell. Sending lots of healing vibes your way. That was very sweet of your daughter to clean you home (you raised her well). The princess is absolutely precious! Fell better (and try not to think of all those reviews)!

Ah, what a beautiful little girl! She truly looks like a princess with her cake.

I do hope you are able to bounce back sooner rather than later, and not because of the blog. Yes, it’s important to you– and your readers love it, but your health comes first! 🙂

I am on the same boat, although I’m not sick… But just tired all the time, and pretty discouraged from blogging. Winter is a hard time, isn’t it.
Oh my gosh, I hope your vocal cords will be fine in the long run? Although sounding sexy is also acceptable, hehe 😀 I hope it doesn’t hurt?
Here’s to hoping you’ll be all better in the next Sunday update! Thank you for hosting these. You are COOL.
P.S. That birthday photo is just so cute 🙂

The Princess is utterly adorable (and very photogenic—I always love your photos of both Royals.) Happy birthday to her! I’m glad your daughter was able to bring the party to you, and also clean house for you.

Enjoy your new books! Looks like several of us got The Other Lady Vanishes this week. I guess they must have done a round of approvals. 🙂

I’m delighted to hear you are improving, though you have clearly been through the mill. Do take care of yourself and try to fight the urge to rush around like a blue-bottomed fly to catch up, once you are back on your feet! Thank you for sharing the pic of The Royal Princess – isn’t she a sweetie? I hope your recovery continues and you have a better week, Kimberly:)

My *fingers are crossed* that you are on the mend. I know you have a ton of reviews to write, but if I can get through mine I know you can get through yours. And I do it on a way more regular basis than you do. lol Happy Birthday to Princess Sophie!! I wish we could see our grandbabies but my stepdaughter is being an asshole, so we haven’t seen them since Sept. Hopefully some day that will change. I hope you have a much better week, Kim!

What an adorable picture of the little one! I hate that you have to go through the weakness part on the way to healing, but hope you get through it quickly now. Wouldn’t it be great to clone yourself when it comes to having to get those reviews done? Feel better soon, and hugs…RO

  32. Heidi

Well crap Hoping you would be feeling better. The bugs going around are just nasty. I am praying we continue to stay healthy. Happy birthday to Princess Sophia, it seems like just the other day she was born. Heck, it seems like just the other day my two were little. Feel better.

    • Kimberly

My husband just finished 10 days of antibiotics and is going back to doctor tomorrow. I did 20 days and antibiotics shots. My cough is looser and wheezing is only at night now..but boy oh boy this stuff has been nasty.

  33. Tyler H. Jolley

Dang Kimba! Damaging a vocal chord! That’s a bid deal, I’m so sorry. I have a good feeling about this, your kid cleaned out all the lingering sickness in your house so now you have a clear path to recovery. I hope.

I’m so sorry you are so ill. Man, this year’s flu is crazy. I’m glad you still got to be part of your granddaughter’s birthday celebration. What a cutie she is. Please continue to relax and rest.
